    My favorite Peter Martin moments are when he says "I'm gonna stick right with the changes on the page this time" and then immediately plays something that's not on the page. I'm not complaining though!! Thank you so much for this video and the continued education you provide :)

    Man this is literally the best piano lesson I’ve ever seen in my life. The format is perfect, the explanations are SOOO good and informative, and there is a real structure given for us to ACTUALLY implement and improve. Bonus is replaying all the cool little mini compositions in this video and dissecting them and trying to sound like exactly what Peter plays. Fantastic lesson thanks so much for the INCREDIBLE content.

    Honestly, I feel like because we keep going back to the Eb chord, the mystery scale is actually an Eb major hexatonic. It's a major Eb pentatonic with a leading tone (D). Love you Peter. Totally going to shed this idea in several keys, because I need this vibe.

    Hello! Wow this is exactly what I was needing to take my playing and composition to the next level! Can't wait to dive in and practice this stuff. I joined a few minutes late so didn't get the chance to ask this question. In the third example, on beat 4 you land on a D moo chord. It's approached by an A diminished 7. I'm curious about how you think about that from a theory perspective? I've often done things like Eb diminished going to C/E, I think about it as half step approach to the 3rd of the chord we land on, which is also the bass note. This also works landing on the C in root position. Are you thinking about the A diminished to D2/F# in a similar way? Thanks!

    • @pianopeter
      @pianopeter 2 місяці тому +1

      I'm not sure, but I think the root movement of A-->F#-->Eb helps it work (although I added in the D approach to the Eb)

    Sorry for perhaps a stupid question.....if this lesson is in Bb how come the progression leads to the IV......and if i want to take to the I is it just a question of transposing or would some of the chords have changed voicings...many thanks Terry UK
