I owned the Mazda 3 once and it's not that great tbh, and definitely not budget friendly at all. Passenger seats are cramped, noise cancellation is really bad, engine goes nut on just 2-3000 rpm, and you can pretty much hear everything on the road. Aside from a nice dashboard, nothing else I could recommend to get this one. Mazda 6 and above on the other hand, is a masterpiece.

@@thatinformativeguy yea, they’ve done some things together like I heard they share a factory somewhere in the US, Toyota would make cars that are actually Mazda cars like the Yaris which is a rebadged Mazda2 or The scion iA which is a Mazda3
Gonna try to get one of these this summer. This car literally checks all my requirements. It’s fuel efficient, fun to drive, smooth ride, and best in class interior. Mazda outdid themselves with this one.
How is 33mpg (for fwd) considered fuel efficient. SUVs get that much
dagrome some suvs have less power compared to this. I’d rather have a healthy dose of power and mpg. This has over 180 hp while compact suvs usually have around 150
@@oscarcazares2972 I would tend to agree, but from what I hear this car feels slow. I love the way it looks and have been following the news around it ever since they showed the car at a show, but I can't help feel like they came so close to making a perfect car and missed the mark with the 2.5 L engine. They should have used a smaller engine (less weight), slapped on a turbo, and gotten better performance in terms of torque, less weight, and higher fuel efficiency.
dagrome gotta keep in mind it’s the awd 3 so it adds more weight and has more power loss through the drivetrain because of turning all 4 wheels
Jesse Kehr Yeah I’m pretty sure the AWD feels significantly more sluggish than the FWD. That extra weight really hurts it. I’m interested to see what their turbocharged engines could do inside these, as well as Skyactiv-X. This is only the 1st step into the next gen.
I love the elegant exterior styling, and the premium quality interiors of Mazda cars. I have the 2016 Mazda6 iGT, it's been 3 years and I still get excited every single time I drive it, like it's brand new.
Interior looks clean and simple. The sedan looks better in pictures and videos, the hatch looks better in person.
I totally disagree with this statement... Sedan looks even more amazing in person
Biggest fault with the HB version is that it’s too close to the Kai concept car...the C Pillars are massive and seem to be pretty obstructive for rear visibility. And if you’re tall, the back seats are quite cramped.
the interior looks not that different from BMW / Audi. Im not saying Mazda copied them, just saying it looks very luxurious.

I just sold my 2012 BMW (i.e. maintenance money pit) and leased the 2019 Mazda 3, no money down, delivered to my front door on a Saturday. The interior really does remind me of my BMW and it's got seven years worth of new car tech. Less insurance, uses regular gas not premium, much better gas mileage, and best of all bumper-to-bumper warranty.
How did you pay?

How are you going to use all those HPs? When you cannot get anywhere near 60? Better stick to the smaller engines for better fuel economy. At the end of the day, fuel economy is still a concerned aspect for this car's customer segment.
@@kendo9700 in my country 1.5L car tax is around 350% , 2.5L surpasses 500%
We used to get the 1.5L, at least we have 2.0L as standard now.
My country highways are restricted to 60mph/100kmh and the city is full of stop and go traffic, so kinda makes sense.

Love your videos. Small suggestion if I may, whilst closing the doors, hood, trunk lid, try and close them as light as possible. Helpful way I’ve always used to, not only see the condition on used cars I buy but a way to test fit and finish.

I got to check out several colors in person; red, blue, gray, black and white, and I agree. The white pearl has a premium appearance and looks great on this car.

I have to say, I want the Honda Fit or the Mazda 3, and the Mazda 3 looks sooooooo much more classy/premium.

Are you not able to open the trunk without pressing the button in the cabin or on the remote? Can we open the trunk from the the trunk handle? I have a 2021 mazda 3 sedan premium pkg and I cant seem to be able to open the trunk from the trunk handle
The trunk handle release button is located underneath the Mazda logo. Feel around next time, you should be able to find it :)

Mazda3 4th generation blinker sound is more quiet than that of the 3rd generation. The blinker sound is more and more quiet (so do other brands).
PS: Mazda3 (and almost non-luxury car models) in Vietnam have less options than that of the US's. The HUD is excluded from standard package.
