A BASKETBALL-obsessed girl is already running rings around her father on the court - despite being only eight years old. Samaya Clark-Gabriel, from Brooklyn, New York, regularly trains with high school students twice her height and has an impressive array of tricks in her repertoire. She wowed crowds during the half-time show at a Harlem Globetrotters game in December last year by simultaneously dribbling two balls between her legs while BLINDFOLDED. The pint sized star only began playing aged six, but is already able to easily outmatch her dad in a one-v-one. Prodigy Samaya does intensive training sessions three times a week and dreams of one day playing in the WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association). To follow her story, click here:

You mean "her parents" are being inspirational. Kids are kids. I was 16 years old when I knew I wanted to work with animals rights group and I was in my late twenties when I knew my sexuality was! when you are 8 years old you sit there drawing pictures and doing house chores and you cuddle with mummy while she reads to you or sings to you.

@@reneeprice181 - now I'm indeed confused. In my original comment, I called samaya inspirational cuz her talent is ahead of her age and the way she is working to hone her skills make some seek inspiration from her.
I called her parents inspirational too bcoz not only they are supporting her dreams,but also giving her a normal childhood.

There is no rule against women playing in the nba. The reason there are no women is because of the physical differences and skill gap. Thats why they made the WNBA

The Harlem globetrotters asked me if I wanted to go up, but I kept begging to *not* do it, but my mom told them yes. I know *nothing* about basketball and wasn't paying attention to the game, so I shot at the wrong basket, and couldn't do a lot of the tricks they told me to. AND THEY FREAKING KNEW THAT. I went to school the next day and was picked on so much, *WITCH IS WHY I SAID NO IN THE FIRST PLACE!*
