If you happen to have weeds in your back yard, you can easily get rid of them by simply covering them. With anything you can find.....cardboard paper, black or blue nylon tarp, old rags, wooden planks, whatever you can find that can block the sunlight from reaching the weeds underneath. As you can see in the video, the area I've covered is litteraly clean of any weeds. Only drawback is that it might take a week or two.
Now if you happen to have pavement tiles on your back yard, and the weeds grow between the tiles, you can get rid of them by putting salt in the crevises, the kind used in the winter to salt the roads, or Ammonia Sulphate. If you live near the sea, you can pour some sea water and have the same result. The salt in sea water works as a pestiside.
If you don't have pavement tiles in your yard and you want to lay them now, without using cement, first apply a layer of sand all over the area you want to dress with tiles, and then place a nylon tarp over it, (prefferably the thick kind) and then lay the tiles on top of the tarp to finish the project.
The tarp will prevent any weeds from growing between the tiles, and you'll have a beautiful tile layered back yard.
In case you don't want to use any of the options I've mentioned, then the only other option is chemical pestiside, which is not so ecological.
