I have all my plants on an automated drip system. its a time saver, of course you still need to check on your plants daily, even if just for a few minutes, to spot any issues with over or under watering. Each plant has its own dripper I can adjust the flow on. Set timer for 1 hour and with a variable dripper you have a lot of time.
Luke the music was on point buddy lol you had me iv vibe mode lol😉 Thanks for this video. This grow season I didn't post anything I grew because when I went on vacation for a week, I left my nephew to water all 6 of my beds that were growing beautifully. I knew it wasn't going to rain at all during the week i was gone, on top of a of a heat wave. Man when I got back I almost died. All my tomatoes, all my peppers, broccoli, cabbage, among other things were dead bro. Thank god I grew all my herbs, my newly purchased berry plants (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and one grape plant) in pots that I put on my back patio were they would be shaded, along with my lemon plant that was a gift and has sentimental value to me, and my pineapple plant all made it dispite the lack of water and love...Anyway I said to myself this will never happen again, so this video is superbly useful for me to learn from. My garden will be self sufficient next season thanks to you teaching me once again what to do... You are much appreciated Luke, thanks a million....
So the hose already come with drip holes? Please show us how it works. And how do you control the flow rate? And if you want subterranean, how would you do it?
Thanks Luke! The reason why I subscribe to your youtube channel is because I am thinking of getting into the farming business. I am wondering how applicable are what you teach us on farm scale?
So you just add a hose to the end to supply water? I’m wondering how you might conceal the hose coming into the raised beds. Mine are pretty far from anything else and I don’t want hose running all over the garden.
Love the works you sample for the music, getting into production myself and love the sound like that. Has a nice Oddisee or Slimkat kind of vibe going on. Hope to hear more amazing tunes and tips from ya, new sub for sure :D EDIT: Do you upload your musical work to another channel as well?
I'm in southern CA, and my water is very hard, so 1/4" drip line tends to clog with minerals. I've been using 1/2" tubing with regularly spaced inline emitters because it's easy to lift out of the way when adding compost, amendments, etc., and there's no need for eye hooks--they're heavy enough to lay flat on the top of the raised bed. Unfortunately, the inline emitters also get clogged. I would love to see a video where you create a 1/2" drip tubing system for a raised bed garden.
What do you do in the winter to keep the line from freezing and bursting? Do you put a eco friendly fluid in it or blow out the lines? Or do you redo the system each spring?
Why did you run it auditor side? Seems like a lot more work and use more hose. I run my lengthwise using less. I’ve made fabric staples myself out of cut up metal hangers as those staples are not avail locally.
Yo Luke, I'm always impressed with your choice of music during the fast forwards... This video was no different! Can you put a link for that awesome beat?
Just getting into production myself, love the works you sample. Has a nice Oddisee or Slimkat kind of vibe going on. Hope to hear more amazing tunes and tips from ya :D
I love all of your videos. I'll be the first to admit this I guess. I was "dancing" in my chair during the fast forward music. I'm a little giddy because it is 0445 in the morning as I'm watching this. Great job again on the video! Thank you. We are in the process of planning our fall garden right now. It's only our second vegetable garden ever and we are laying out our irrigation lines now. This will really help us! Thank you again.
:: chuckling :: Several days ago I came across one of your videos and was instantly hooked. I have seen many of them and all of them, at the end, you say "go big or go home". My girls and I loved it. Last night, it wasn't there. LOL I even went back to see if it was some how missed. Just got used to hearing it. :D
Can you stop making your videos so long and rambling???? I want to watch them but after listening to you go into detail about irrelevant things ( bought at garage sale for 75 cents-who cares) I am going to unsubscribe. Can you just make a video and show us, and stop talking so much! Um, blah blah blah, ummm, blah blah blah, ummm...🙄
My man went to a garage sale with $0.75
Seth Schiele hahahaha I was laughing too hard when I read this comment 😂😂😂 thanks for that

Those u shaped things are called edge pins. I work at a hardware store.
So the hose already come with drip holes?
Please show us how it works. And how do you control the flow rate?
And if you want subterranean, how would you do it?
The holes are in the hose already and the flow rate is decided by the entrance reducer.
Thanks Luke! The reason why I subscribe to your youtube channel is because I am thinking of getting into the farming business. I am wondering how applicable are what you teach us on farm scale?

The same kit sells on Amazon for $33.56 now!
So how long, often do you water with this setup.
Please send me the drip hose link . Pretty good investment for 75 cents . You just solve my problem .
I cut garden staples in half and created a loop at the end.

It’s Puppy Dog? Shih Tzu? What is he or she eating? Name? Seems to enjoy you gardening.
This didnt show how to hook up a system just how to put down a hose 👎
Great video with lots of very useful tips! TY VM!
Good instructional video! I could have done without that weird music, however...

I'm wondering the same thing. Did you ever get an answer to this question? Or did he cover it in another video?
I like your "helper"! 😁
Why did you run it auditor side? Seems like a lot more work and use more hose. I run my lengthwise using less. I’ve made fabric staples myself out of cut up metal hangers as those staples are not avail locally.
Most videos I’ve watched on the subject add a pressure reducer, and even a simple timer near the spigot.
Great job

Amen! Would love to know the producer as well.
That would be me! A.K.A Luke

nice!
***** Well it was someone on soundcloud and I just love their stuff. I don't do much remixing, just small samples for time lapse shots. :)
Who goes to a yard sale with only 75 cents in their pocket is my question, 😂
Why didn’t you choose to go the long way instead and cut down on all the i-holing?
gotta love garage sale bargains! = )

What are your thoughts on ollas?
I like them! A little expensive, but very cool concept.
I just built some for $1.50 each. Took two 4" pots and siliconed them together and plugged up one of the holes.
Great video and tips :-)
Love the 🎶🎶 my kids were dancing lol
Love the soundtrack!
nice touch with the soundtrack!
Thanks!
you should start your own show called "the garden whisperer" Travel the US fixing people's garden.
pimp my yard?
dang. he got da pimpen music already... all he needs is some hose for an easy hook up... oh wait he got the hose too and a bed... its all set
True . Very good thought. That would help somany garden lovers.
I think that name is already in use. LOL
Thanks for this video! I think I'd slide the hooks onto the hose then adjust as the hose crosses the bed.
How long do you run it??
what size i hooks did you use?
so much useless chatter compared to useful info. 90% chatter like a nervous squirrel.
It worries me that people need a ridiculously exaggerated tutorial on how to put hose with holes in it in gardens. My 7yo laughed at this.
Nice garage sale find
It really was. We love it! I would still buy it for the $19 they are selling it for online.
With a drip system how long do you water a day when it is the driest and hottest times of the year?
Here in Michigan we water for about 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night during the hottest times.
Good going Lukie!
cool music editing! artist?
nice video
Good stuff
It says deleted
What says deleted?
Thumbs up! I think inspector puppy agrees. ;)
She is so nosey! hahaha
Ummm.......what happened to your "grow big or go home"?
Nothing? I still grow big or go home every day! Why did you think it left?

Dedre Rose Oh yeah! haha We don't always add it, but about 9 times out of 10 you will get a big 'ol Grow BIG or GO HOME from me :)

The winner has not been chosen yet! :)
