Never seen or heard of this avionics brand before, like the setup menu even tells the pin number, looks like solid front switches.

Normally the Sandel units have also male and female aural warning callouts, like all other EGPWS units. Also altitude callouts.
Regarding this specific unit it might also have a terrain display.

What was the requirement [or rationale] which lead to a short-range projector, instead of an LCD panel with a backlight like laptops and smartphones?

Maybe has to do with the brightness from the sun during daylight and Display visibility

It is the first time I see such a projection display ! Is the bulb to be replaced on a regular basis ? Now you could use some white COB Led lightsource instead of a bulb, if projection displays are still a thing.

According to the pilot manual the indicator displays a warning message when there is a change of lamp characteristics and it should be changed within 50 hours by authorized Sandel's dealer (and I guess it costs an arm). New instrument (SN3500) uses an LED light source instead of bulb.

Pourquoi tu ne fait pas tes vidéos en bon Français , il y a déjà assez de chaîne en Anglais je trouve , franchement ils n'ont qu'a se démerdez entre eux ( je précise je suis trilingue ) mais pense au gens de notre pays et aux partages des connaissances pour entre Français , cette anglicisation m'énerve au plus haut si l'on veux garder notre langue et nos valeurs .

Le problème c’est que selon les statistiques de ma chaîne la France représente moins de 5% de mon auditoire qui est déjà pas très élevé vu le domaine un peu spécialisé. Je ferai un essai dans une prochaine vidéo pour voir ce que cela donne.
