  • In vehicles, the EGR valve, or exhaust gas recirculation valve, is part of the engine management system and is in charge of reintroducing exhaust gas in measured amounts to the intake system. This improves engine efficiency, lowers fuel consumption, and cuts nitrogen oxide emissions.
The pressure to reduce emissions means that the EGR valve will take on a more significant role in the future. In the event that it breaks, you must know what it is, why it breaks, and how to replace it..So watch this video to the end to understand everything!
This video is for educational and informational purposes. If you have a good idea for a video, leave us a comment! We try to read each and every comment made.

@@kissing88 Yes some motorway driving would have helped the regeneration take place. Unfortunately they can be very expensive to repair. We have found quality of fuel effects the DPF also. One of the cars we have worked on had a DPF flush with about 150,000km, doing some motorway driving after with no issues.

We would recommend asking a mechanic to carry out an inspection of the vehicle and using a OBD diagnostics machine to understand what the issue could be. Thanks!

The narrative is so flowing continuously, continuously flowing, flowing continuously without any little brakes/pauses, that my poor brain can't grasp the content !!! After the video, even at 0.75 speed, I don't know more about EGR than I already did understand before.
it could be a good UA-cam, but the way it "flows", it is in vain. And if there is something important to read in the video, there should be even more time to "get it", I can't read, while the narrator is talking. After something difficult/complex is explained, the pause needs to be longer!
The combination of pictures, video, narrative, Pauses, reading, and Summary makes a good learning/teaching experience.
After 10 to 15 min Something of the content should stick to my permanent brain memory!

The evidence that we have no right to property, Is evident not only in the fact that we are forced to pay the unconstitutional property tax, but the fact that It is illegal to remove the EGR valve on a vehicle which we own.

EGR valves do not help you get better.Fuel mileage, if anything it costs you feel mileage. It also destroys your motor prematurely And essentially restricts your air flow Especially in diesels. Also the idea That it helps cut down. The exhaust gasses in the environment is also c*** because Yes, exhaust gasses.Go into the atmosphere but guess what Trees and other vegetation Filter the Co two gases and turn it into oxygen Basically trees are The planets air filter All this is a bunch of crap Word of advice delete the EG.R especially if you're going to spend a $100,000 on a truck Leave the stupid emission systems on the vehicle. Just tune it and shut it off. So you get rid of the check engine light And drive the vehicle and keep your mouth shut about it. Keep a tuner on hand so if you have inspections every year you can turn it on before you go to the inspection. And then once you pass, shut it off again. And again keep your mouth shut. And don't fall into the kind of crap that this video is trying to get out They explained what the function is for. And what the EGR is for. But it's nothing but a bunch of garbage That has no truth behind it
