Rail fan since I was an infant!😅. We travelled a lot and as I used to live at Ajmer it was the meter Guage. Delhi was our favourite destination as my Nana lived there and Pink City Express was the favourite train. The YDM loco had the same livery as the train. My last MG journey was from Jaipur to Ajmer in an intercity in warly 2000s while returning from Jammu. At that time Jammu Tavi Express used to terminate at Jaipur. I used to go to my school on a bicycle and rail yard was on the way so while returning I used to spend time there in order to understand the functioning of coupling, signals and switches and of course watching trains. I used to race with the steams till the time they were operational. Those days are gone. As the train teaches us to always move forward, we must embrace the change, it is for our future generations. The worst fact is American Locomotive Company (ALCO) filled bankruptcy in 1969 and they don't know what is happening in india. ALCO might took a decission, that makes their product highly efficient but the company gave their last breath in long time ago. Now ALCO's little sister EMD is still alive and her business is still good.
Massive straight 8 Diesel Engine✊️, Its quite a Feeling to See Big Engines , we Can Imagine the power, But engine Doesn't Drive The Wheels its just Generator technically ,electricity Drive it, i Think Steam Locomotive Was Cool.
