What makes this bad is Homelander can tell when someones lying. He knew Cameron was telling the truth, but wanted to use him anyway as a hazing ritual.
Coleman wasn't a good person in the slightest. But imagine the horror of dedicating your life and career to being the most loyal, supportive human ally of the Seven, one of the most important, only to be gagged, falsely accused, cuckholded and beaten to death by those very same people.
While it's unclear if Homelander knows A-Train's the leak, Sage 100% does, but that begs the question, why hasn't she ratted him out yet, what does she have to gain from it?
Look all I’m saying is Cameron KNOWS that Ashley, as a human, obviously cannot be dominate over Supes in any way if they choose to not let her be. Not only that but Ashley CLEARLY has anger she releases on him (and others occasionally) as well as herself with her hair-pulling habit. Essentially, Cameron should have seen some kind of retaliation coming from a mile away as soon as he shut down quite literally the only outlet for all of her stress from working at Vought. I knew as soon as Cameron “dumped” her and got into it with The Deep that he was not long for this world.
I think Homelander 100% does know A Train is the leak but just doesn’t care enough yet to proceed with going after him, I think he and Sage have both noticed A train’s lack of interest in killing when Homelander orders him too and are going to continue to test him in these kind of scenarios until A train snaps and retaliates against them.
The shot at everyone slowly approaching Cole is haunting. Like you are surrounded by a bunch of super beings who are ready to beat the shit out of you. And in the top of that you get mocked by Fuckin Deep.
Sage and Homelander absolutely knew Cameron wasn't lying. He was telling the truth. They just needed to do this to confirm the rest of the team's loyalty.

I think sage and homelander know about A train betrayal...my boy will not last for long now for sure.
First Anika and now Cameron, Homelander really is out of his mind.
Instead of the justice league they’re the crime syndicate
In the first couple of seasons it looked like Deep might have been on a redemptive arc. Now he's more unlikeable than ever.
one thing about ashley is she's gonna SURVIVE

'You will be wrathful gods.'
Well he did say he wanted a new dom....

Luke would be disappointed of Sam and Kate for betraying their friends.
