The question we all need to answer is this: Is Christ MY Lord? Christ is THE Lord, regardless of one’s feelings on the matter; this, he will show when he comes to judge the living and the dead. On that day, the fate for those who call him Lord and have, in this life, demonstrated the fruits of belonging to him will be very different from those who do not belong to Christ. So, in your life, is he THE Lord or is he YOUR Lord? Do you truly want to praise his name forever-does that thought excite you or bore you?
Slide…oh slide. Despite it being an extreme challenge, I’ve gotten much better at this through the years. A few things that have helped:
Use compression, and lots of it.
Learn how to mute well with your picking hand.
Ride that volume pedal.
