I've skipped this video many times because I am in a power chair and well it really didn't meet my questions or needs. I am so sorry for having missed it now. That Stig thing you did had me in stitches. I really needed the laughs today due to a low spoon count, so THANKS!
I love all of your videos. I became a wheelchair user a few years ago and it's been a rough transition. People like you have helped make it easier. I love your attitude and what you do. Thank you for helping me.
This is so awesome!! I’m a mommy with cerebral palsy. I use a mobility scooter for long distance but, I seem to like the way this gets around much better
Great video Gem love the top gear parody! The world would be so much more fun for wheelchair users if we could all get one. Keep up the great work and I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and happy new year 👍👍💪💪😁😎❤️💖!
Yeah you need a reasonable amount of weight at the front to get any traction otherwise you’ll just get wheel spin. I wish these kits were more in line with e-bike pricing as they can be very expensive.
I, for one, 10,000% agree with your comparison of the Batec to riding - I felt the exact same when I finally got my SmartDrive; before I got it, the only time I could be out in the fresh air and still go as far as I wanted was when I was riding. I don't have anyone who can push me if I need a hand propelling, so I was basically confined to my block unless I drove (around my block was as far as I could push on my own without subluxing my shoulders), until I got my SmartDrive, after which I was going out multiple miles a day several days a week (not so much right now because we've currently got several inches of snow on the ground, but I'm looking forward to those days when it melts and I can get out on my own without having to drive).
I love this! I love everything you do! I’m trying to catch up on all your awesome wheelchair findings! I’m inspired to start my own channel in my wheelchair. You’re such an inspiration...I would love to sit and converse with you as I’m a newer wheelchair user, but I’m in great ol Idaho, USA... thank you for everything!!!
fantastic review! I've been recently looking for an electric attachment like the Batec but there are so many out there. Thank you for doing a proper review video which are so hard to find!
I think a kitty needs to be created so as to get you, Mrs Hubbard a Phoenix Instinct wheelchair. Anyone who doesn't know what this innovative wheelchair can do, look it up. Truly amazing. (UK)
At first I thought this maybe a bit corner, But more and more, it turned out to be really practical. I think I'm very interested In this unit. I want to learn more about it. I'm located in Newport Beach, CA. I wish they made the unit out of Titanium, Magnesium or Carbon Fiber to save even more weight. Think of the future mate. Ted
Absolutely great ...and this is what I want . I live on the 5th floor but we have an elevator .Please can you tell me the width of your chair and I can then measure the lift doors and my apartment doors .One problem is the weight .No hunky Sean here but many decent people How long does the battery last and how far can you travel .No car to take me from home to but bus etc .Opp shave just read you are taking time off do hope you can drop me a quick line .Keep smiling :) You are a great family 👍
Yes Mogo. That’s where I had my wheelchair made also my Batec ordered through NDIS. They are in Sydney. (Bankstown) They are a fantastic group of people. They will even come to you home. All the best! 🇦🇺
Gen thanks for this video. Have a great break and enjoy family time during the Christmas holiday with family and friends. I do have one question is this item available here in the United States?
Thank you for the video I do not agree regarding the weight, 17 kilo is very heavy, there are similar systems that weight about 8 kg, I own one of them, made in Israel. Also looks like, that the floor Gap is very low, what makes it almost impossible to climb the sidewalk or get off the sidewalk. Other than that it looks a nice system with the cool horn ;)
Do you find your arms get tired after a while? When I’ve tried similar items in the past I struggle to use them for long as my arms fatigue quickly being held out in front of me.
Surprised how well it handles the woods being so small I’d love to try a batec scrambler and compare to my tri ride one day What gloves do you use they look really warm
I have been looking at batec, because I currently have two wheelchairs one manual and one powered. And it ties me to big cars. But I am worried that this may burn through the tread on tires and this may be very uncomfortable on stomach with bumps and the batec may be a bit limited with hills etc
Bit late, but do you know if can get the BATEC or something similar in the US? I've realized lately I need a wheelchair, but that I don't have the arm strength for a non powered one and this seemed like a great solution only I can't find one here :(
I have seen footage of batecs being used in the snow. Id probably get chunkier snow tires for the wheelchair. The tire on the batec has good tread, and is quite chunky already. If im perfectly honest. where I live it dosnt get too icy or snowy
The way it looks from your chest camera is a bit like an e scooter 🛴 I’ve seen some people trying out the “e scooter hack with the wheelchairs” but I think for safety I would still go with the batec mini 2 as they are really well built, just wish they were as expensive 🤗🥰🤗 Have a great Christmas Gem and of course your family, hope you’re able to keep the batec mini2 especially after putting it thru it’s paces to support Cyclone 🤗🥰🤗
thank you, you too. Yeah I wouldn't recomend the e scooter. Weels2walking did a good video on it. I very much doubt and escooter will have the power & torque to do all the cool things you saw me do in the video. And I very much doubt it will last years and years like the batecs. ;)
@@Wheelsnoheels completely agree, the batec’s look so well built. I made sure to mention watching your demo when I got in touch with them today 😉 Definitely going to start saving my money. It has moved from my wish list to my need list 😆🥰🤗

Are you in the US? I haven’t found any here yet, besides this Batec.
@@suew4609 I'm in the UK. I found another company called Rehasense. A lot more affordable than Batec but just as good, if not better.
Love the mini2, looks like it can take you many places. Thanks for the review

I wonder how it holds up against proper long hills and what's the realistic mileage that you get from that battery?
I'm looking for one of these in Australia they are hard to find near me though 😢
oooo Im sure I had a follower say they found a dealer..... I cant remeber where tho
The hunt continues

You can order from most wheelchair manufacturers in Melbourne. Like mobility plus or Melrose wheelchairs.
Gen thanks for this video. Have a great break and enjoy family time during the Christmas holiday with family and friends. I do have one question is this item available here in the United States?

Do you find your arms get tired after a while? When I’ve tried similar items in the past I struggle to use them for long as my arms fatigue quickly being held out in front of me.
Yes, they do, there is a quad option, so the handle bar set up is slightly different.
Thankfully, you also included sounding the horn which no one has ever reviewed before…📢
Mystery guest? It is Mrs Gem Hubbard.
Awesome video as always Gem! Any idea how it compares going up and down sidewalk curbs?
Surprised how well it handles the woods being so small
I’d love to try a batec scrambler and compare to my tri ride one day
What gloves do you use they look really warm
I am at 2.07. I use a powerchair. On pavements you are allowed to drive at 4mph and on roads it is 8mph.
Amazing review! Now, which one do you prefer, the normal Batec or Mini2?
Is the handle bars work like a bike or does it ride similar to a power chair cart like at Walmart
I have been looking at batec, because I currently have two wheelchairs one manual and one powered.
And it ties me to big cars. But I am worried that this may burn through the tread on tires and this may be very uncomfortable on stomach with bumps and the batec may be a bit limited with hills etc
My house is surrounded by rural dirt road and woods so would it hold up to deep snow and Alot ofnmud
Do you get any snow? How does it handle in snow if you use it?
Make sure when you order your Batec it has the specifications advertised.
Can you pretty please with sugar on top do a USA link to your video items as well? A lot of what you link is only UK linked
OOo im so sorry, LivingSpinal are the USA dealer. Please let them know gem Wheelsnoheels sent you :)

what about icy paths? not sure how that is in your chair regularly, but how would the Batec work on top of that?
