After watching these first two games I'm left wondering how Josi and Makar are still in such a close race for the Norris. I would trade Josi for Makar in a heartbeat.
Feel a little bad for Ingram. He had the posture of classic Carey Price throughout the game. The team in front of him couldn't get it done. Colorado looks good, but they almost got goalied there.

All credit to him in this game but a littler early to tell whether he's a "stud". Varly with the Caps had a similar storyline and he's be a solid starter over his career but hardly in the conversation of stud goalies in the league over his time so far. This guy could be a stud or end up like Varly where he can steal you a game with a 50+ save shut out, or let in 5 goals on 20 shots on some nights.

Fun fact (or just something inconsequential depending on point of view..), my Dad bought us NHL 98 for the Playstation in the UK - I knew nothing about hockey really, except ice/puck/American/Canadian sports....that was pretty much it, so when choosing a team to use I chose Colorado cos they abbreviated to my name "Col', and then I became a fan of the actual club from there

MacKinnon is just such a Veteran skater and it shows, not only is his speed up at the top of almost any teams at this point but his stick handling is just as great, love to see his performance throughout these games.
There were a lot of stats that can dictate the Avs were the dominate team in this game. Shots, TOI in the offensive zone, and aggressive defensive play are just some examples. However, they were actually lucky. Colorado almost blew the game after Nichushkin took a high sticking penalty in the beginning of the third period. Compounding the delay of game penalty, this was a full 5 on 3 PP for the Predators. They can't let this happen again. Props to Ingram for his stellar performance. If he repeats this type of performance with Saros sidelined, the Avs need to outperform themselves even further. It was a great game...minus the asinine play by Girard who decided to think he was Kuemper and attempt to block the puck with his kegs. I am more concerned with what's going on with the Flames vs Stars series. My worst fear came true. Oettinger went god mode. The Flames needs to beat them because I don't want the Avs anywhere near the Stars in the playoffs.

I think the Avs need to be getting more tips on shots from the blue, I only counted like 1/2 tips on 50 shots. Specially when a goalies hot and saving everything he can see.

Josi can’t really do anything on that last play, been out there for so long , gassed, broke his stick, laid down to block a shot,did everything he could . Both players had a fantastic game and it’s a well deserved goal by Makar.

If he wins, and I think he probably will even though I think Makar is better defensively, it will be because he HAD to put up the points he did for his team to make it where they are now. No excuse from colorado to miss the back door and wide open nets they did though. if this is against Minnesota or St. Louis and we've let them stay in a game late because no Finnish then we are going to lose. sloppy execution on the powerplay too. Sam Girard needs to be off the powerplay because he isn't a danger to shoot and he is constantly skating himself out of good positions and isn't setting up his tomatoes either. double shift cale or another forward from the top Power play in my opinion. good to see Darcy calm and cool and to see the will of the team to push through a hot goalie and not get overly frustrated.

Even before that...the final minute of the CGY game...a disastrous injury to Saros cost them that win and the much needed point. I'd wager that a healthy Saros in net would've made that ARZ game meaningless and would've given them a chance in this series. Right now the goal of this team should be to punch this Avs team in the face and wear them down as they did with CAR last year...and also to not be swept for the first time in franchise history.

Man, the goalie interference calls are insane to me. Like I guess if you’re getting outplayed and feel like you’re about to get scored on, just start shoving the opposing players in to the goalie. So many interference calls and goals getting over turned due to defenseman throwing players on to their own goalie.

Like was was girard doing really if your going to try to intercept the pass actually do it not just let it go right by you. What is with that dude this year. Easily could of been a 1-0 game if that didn’t happen none the less they pulled it out in the end

Much better efforts by the Predators. Ingram played awesome. Still the Avs is just too good everywhere.

Man, the goalie interference calls are insane to me. Like I guess if you’re getting outplayed and feel like you’re about to get scored on, just start shoving the opposing players in to the goalie. So many interference calls and goals getting over turned due to defenseman throwing players on to their own goalie.
Did we watch the same play? The interference happened before he got pushed.
As an avs fan Lehky initiated contact and Ingram never was able to reset.
