Me to :) Thank you. I"ll do it as soon as possible. When i wanted to change bulb i somehow dissasembled the screwadjuster rod our of light focus and i have to remove headlight to put.it back in
This was perfect. I only needed to replace the lens, but i needed to remove the entire assembly first. Huge help. Thanks for making.

This job looked like a nightmare, but after watching your video it seemed less intimidating, so I did it and everything worked out great!
I was worried the plastic would crack as I did it in freezing cold conditions, but it all worked out fine.
Had some issues installing the plastic rivets on top of the grill as they broke, I suppose i can’t reuse the old ones?

Zipties worked to replace the plastic rivets, for me. Not $1-store ones, but heavy-duty thick ones from Lowe's.
Thanks for your video! Just did this job myself after viewing. Just one thing though, I found it much easier just to remove the whole bumper. It's so easy on a V70.
Great tutorial. It helped me a lot when replacing the headlight on my S60. Although mine did have the awkwardness of the headlight wiperblade as well. Thumbs up!

Thank you so much! Couldn't get to the turn signal socket on the passenger side of an 02 s60 so I had to take out the whole unit. Perfect step by step video!!!! Saved me probably hours trying to figure out how to do it.

My 2001 v70 Volvo wagon had different metal springs holding the light bulb in and I have large hands for a female, but I was able to figure out hot to unhinge it. Thank you for uploading this video. You saved me over $100.00 by not having to go to,the dealership or my local mechanic. Thank You Kind Sir☺

Great video. The two adjustment bolts show, which one is for vertical and which is horizontal? Any videos on the fog lights? 2004 XC70 here.
Great video - thanks. My 2007 XC70 had different size bolts and some were hex where they were torque in the video, but i would never have been able to do this without the video. I found that tension torque screw in the wheel well seemed to do nothing, but I was able to wiggle the bumper off anyway.

Thank you for sharing, allowed me to replace my daughters headlamp assembly, for a total of $140.00, and my time.
I did change bulbs on both beams, both sides, it's not more difficult, exactly the same thing with a little less place but the cover comes out without removing anything else, maybe check for some wire connectors that might be in the way. The only 'very' annoying thing is to replace the round covers, good tip is pay much attention the way they are fit in there while unscrewing. Same goes for the way the bulbs are seated.

Hi, great video, very informative. I have a 2002 Volvo V70 and I was wondering if the glass on the headlights are interchangeable, because one of them is broken.
I assume it's a similar fitting to the one in the video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Changing light bulb for high beam is very easy because you have room to get your hand on the light bulb. Changing light bulb for low beam on either driver or passenger side is so difficult because there is no access to the light bulb. Will you make a video on how to change light bulb for low beam (it's also DRL) on both sides ? Thanks.
Excellent video. Do you know if it is possible to use the glass fronted headlamp assembly seen in the video in a later model that is presently fitted with plastic fronted headlamp?
These headlight assemblies fit up to 2004. What year, make and model is your vehicle ? We might have a headlight kit for you.
If you needed to rewire the socket would you use the same concept of replacing the headlight assembly ?

Great video, I've got moisture getting in one of my headlights so ive bought a replacement, mines got wipers on, is that a separate unit or built into the headlamp it self?? I'm worried ive bought the wrong headlamp and I'd rather ask than take it all apart and find out for myself!!

Question for you if you could answer as soon as possible please: Is the removal of the headlight for the 2002 V70 Standard wagon the same as the one in your video ? That is a lot of bolts and work just to replace a headlight. Why so many bolts ?? Thanks.

When replacing bulbs only, you need to clarify that high and low beams have completely different connections. They are NOT the same.

Amen to the other comments - though I found taking off and replacing the clip the hardest part (esp. as it fell into the engine compartment after I took it off (yeah, I reckon I could have just swung it forward and back; I'll know the next time.) Before watching the video I couldn't even find the bulb - the time car I changed the bulb didn't have a cover.

Then why does the glass have clips and a gasket ? For some reason I don't trust what you're saying.
+baba mama The gasket helps to seal against moisture. They clips may have been there to help keep the lens in place while the lights were sealed at the factory.

Could not get my hand in to do passengers side low beam bulb out on 2005 XC70. And I am a woman (smaller hands). :- ( :- (
Wow what a faff... did the lights recently on a Ford 30 seconds each side.
NOPE! you try reaching the low beam bulbs without taking the whole lamp assembly out THERES NO ROOM to get a hand in there🤷🏼♂️
Whoever designed the headlamp system at Volvo must have had a great dislike of ordinary people.
This isn't accurate for the 2004 XC70.

Clowns will not say which is or which is low beam!
Cars on american market are stupid! These volvo dont have headlights height adjuster. So if a family sits at rear couch, or there is something in trunk, you have to open hood and manually lower the lights! Prove me wrong. On european market adjusters are necessary by law.
