I was thinking the same thing
Now think all aspects with success full result
What is necessary to make a phone
    1 motherboard
    2 all hardware
    3 OS
Now can we customize the software ?
Now we are here to make a best smartphone with best possibilities
Find the best hardware in the market in the world at this time.
Like any mobile have 512gb rom
    16gb ram
I think this is best or enough at this time
    Now battery 7000 mah battery
Camera : 108mp camera telly micro
Use all thing from other company phones which use this type of hardware.
Processor : i don't know about who is the best .
Like this every hardware and software which customize possibilities are there
Use it and make a mobile of best uses and features .

I have an idea I am sure many have thought of this but still want to ask .. suppose we buy motherboard, daughter board, display, cables and make our own casing of an older gen phone for example buy S10 MoBo, display etc of same model and smash everything together with custom ROM would it work??

      Yes totally
But while doing it I found it costs around the same as the new one
So you should go for older high end models

Thank you for the video, your content was good. I watched it because I am trying to see if I can pay to have a few hundred smart phones made but with a private OS. Do you think this is possible in India?

You want to use old and used processors or buy new ones? Because i guess then you'll have to contact companies like Qualcomm first.

@daniel wdym by private os just hire yourself a custom rom developer ( you contact people working on dot os etc.). Custom roms are basically tweaked versions of android that we get on every android phone and as android is open source you tweak it to enough to do want ever you want like disabling and enabling fuctionality. Example you can tweak an old and slow sluggish phone to only run one single app like alexa and use it like a smart speaker (this is most easiest thing that anyone do) and the possibilities are infinite you can attach a smart phone with a specific custom rom to a display and use a dumb tv (crt or old lcd Ones) as a smart tv or a basic computer for browsing web.
