All I have to say, is THANK YOU, THANk YOU, Kris. This is me and my sister on this video, this was our second to last ride on Splash Mountain. We are Disneylanders threw and threw, we grew up visiting often. We came from Vancouver, BC Canada just to be there for closing day, it was our brothers favorite ride, sadly he past away a few years ago. So, We just knew we had to be there for closing day and ride it just on last time. It is so very special that we now have a video. Such an extra magical day, moment and memory for us 💜 Huge thanks for this, we dont even know how we actually even made it on the same boat as you, it was meant to be, we will cherish this always ❤ you captured the ride so beautifully, such amazing work. Thanks again ❤
This ride had such an impact on my childhood. I remember I used to build multiple versions of splash mountain on Minecraft. None of them were good lol. Anyway goodbye splash mountain. You really had an impact on my life.
Went on this a couple weeks ago at my recent visit. Glad it was the last ride I had gotten to go on while I was there, I’ll miss this theme but really looking forward to its retheme.
RIP Splash Mountain. Thank you for a lifetime of memories. I understand and agree with the change in theming given how reprehensible Lost Cause mythology is in modern times, but damn did I love this theming. Such magic.

Today we are gathered here to remember the greatest log flume ride in the world. At it's end. I will miss Brer bear, fuzzy bung juice shit, and the first time at 10: Am in 2018, goddamm, what a ride, and i am so grateful to have ridden it for the last time on feb.1st 2023, rest in my memory splash mountain.
I will remember all the times I rode in this iconic Disneyland attraction/ ride fond memories ! but I am excited and looking forward to seeing the Re-theme
Tragically poetic that the animatronics and lights are working better on the ride's last day of operation than they ever had for the last ten years. Farewell, Splash. Thanks for being my laughing place.
Cool video, Kris! I love the low light, I can see details in your video best of all the videos I've watched these past few days!! 😀 I'm an old-timer who grew up with "America Sings," so I don't have the same emotional attachment to "Splash" that many do. I understand the emotion- it is a great ride with excellent characters, dips, drops and music, but I am hopeful that Disney will creat it's magic with new characters and music, with the same fun ride system, dips and drops as the original. Thanks for taking us along!
It's hard to imagine that everything in this video will be changed except the flume path. Every inch of the queue, and obviously the entire show... I would SO love to work on the change over!
I pray for the Splash Mountain inside and outside extended version Califonia Disneyland Orlando Florida building across the empty spaces for grand opening in 2025
@LMG VIDS that was cool you and fresh baked saw the last paid guest, I wonder if Tony Baxter got on? Don’t answer anything just make a video when you have time. Please
You know what else is disgusting? Posing African slaves to be nonchalant which is why the movie was hidden from the audience and why this ride has to go. Walt showcased this at his private parties, it was never supposed to be a "Classic Film" because he knew why the film was wrong.
@kennedywright811 lol it was hidden from the audience because of congressman Adam Clayton Powell, Jr but in reality it was just a gas light for his own troubles. Since at the same time he was being investigated for tax evasion and sex scandals and was a pastor and the irony of it his clergy was mostly African americans😅
Save this ride from becoming fucking tiana’s bayou adventure. We must save it it can’t be torn down just because people think it’s racist. Someone contact the Disneyland staff and convince them to leave this beloved ride alone
few years late it's already been tried ... like the overwhelming vast majority i had no idea what the music was about or its meaning or what it was from , could really care less , just loved how upbeat and catchy it was ... just sucks a few dozen weirdos were able to cry and get their way and ruin the best ride atmosphere ever
Splash Mountain is staying open for good we need to Disney to make it happen. I never had a chance to go on the ride so Disney we need splash Mountain open for good princess and the frog will be not coming to the Disney parks taking over the ride canceled post pone not happening. Disney you need to keep splash Mountain open for good
@@HyphKU As much as I hate the word too, the one phenomenon it does seem to touch on a lot is how lazy some companies try to pull representation, and make characters solely to put a check in the box for having a gay/black/etc character, rather than using those traits to tell an effective story. The result is that a lot of media seems to be pumping out characters that are supposedly more diverse and inclusive, but are also shallow and poorly written bores; unfortunately, the message bigots take home from these lazily written characters isn't just that the writing is bad, but that the concept of diversity itself is bad. When the focus is put more into what characters are in a story rather than what those characters actually do in the story, the storytelling suffers and sends the message that diversity itself is a problem. Unfortunately here, the new version is a prime example of this lazy representation in practice; the story they're trying to tell (or lack thereof) absolutely does not work with a thrilling ride the same way Splash's story did. The new version is not bad because it has a black lady...it's bad because the black lady does nothing compelling or interesting enough to warrant a thrill ride.
Song of the South isn’t really racist. It takes place after the civil war, when slavery was already abolished. However, I can see how it wasn’t exactly clear that Uncle Remus and the other black people in the film weren’t slaves, but if some people, including children are singing “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” without exactly knowing where it came from, is it fair to say that the film was “racist”?

I’m going to miss Splash Mountain as part of my childhood as I grew up with.
Me too.
Same here.
Thank you Mr. Vids for another fantastic video. Your camera work has really captured the essences of the ride. It's almost as if I'm there.
So sad that my future kids won't be able to experience this 😢

I’m so glad that I got to ride this last weekend‼️⛰️🪵💦💧 Goodbye Splash Mountain!! Had so much fun riding it these past couple years!!
I’ll really miss this ride after going on it 7 times in a row in one day and 8 on another day
This was the best ride at the park 😢. Sad that it’s gone
“Re-themed”, but I get your point and agree.
That woman riding in the log boat cackling like a hen while going down the drops is hilarious. She fits right in Splash Mountain. 🤣

Was it great meeting you at Splash yesterday next to David. Love your videos and hope to see you around the Park
Just a tip, they have Splash Mountain in Tokyo Disney and don’t plan on changing it. I was just there and went on it. It was awesome!
Happy to hear that, thanks
I got to go on this ride one last time when I went to Disneyland earlier this month. Had a blast!

I was lucky that I rode this ride in 2019 when it was really cold in December.
Don’t have a good day
Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
I wish I could have ridden this one last time before they…”re theme” it. Oh well. I always loved getting a front seat on the ride.
Definitely gonna miss Splash but I’m hella excited for Tiana’s
I am glad I got on it with my son
This was my first big boy ride. I'm looking forward to what comes next, but I'll always have the best memories of Splash Mountain.
Just came by to see a proper Disney attraction and to wipe away the stain I just watched from the new POV of Tiana's.

Farewell, Splash Mountain.
WHY DOES DISNEY HAVE TO RUIN THE CLASSIC RIDES this was literally my favorite ride at Disney and there ruining it😢
To be d*bags (and the “d” doesn’t stand for “Disney”). 😉
Do you have any in the front row?
No, I really don’t like getting wet lol
I loved sitting in the front row! It was like getting an extra cherry on my sundae to get a front row seat.
