    Thank you so much! I'm moving to Madrid for the following year for NALCAP, and was wondering how much and how you budget for trips to other countries? Let me know!

      Yay, you are going to love it! I would say each weekend trip was about 200-300 euros including air fare and accommodation. I did not intentionally budget, but was always aware of the expenses part. Savings was helpful for this, because I was always able to have enough for trips if it ever did go over.

    I'm a software engineer from California. I want to try living there for a month at least. how did you find roommates/apartment?
    also do you have any information about doing a master degree there?
    side note, you are so beautiful :D

      Amazing, you totally should take the leap! I found my roommates through the program I came here with called RVF. We had a massive group chat, but I know people who also found people through facebook.
      I haven't started the process for a master degree here yet, but there are some requirements like getting your degree and transcript apostilled and a letter translated from your school that you studied there.
      Thank you!

    This video was soo helpful! I'm planning on moving to Spain next fall (2025), and I'm wondering how did you meet your roomates?? I'm super worried I won't be able to find any lol, did you find them on a website or in person? ALSO, did you wait until you were actually there to sign a lease, or did you do it before you got there?
    Thanks :))

      YAY! That's so exciting! I met my roommates through the program I signed up for called RVF. The program puts you in a big group-chat with everyone else teaching abroad. I know a lot of people found roommates using facebook as well.
      We didn't sign the lease until seeing the place, which I highly recommend because of scams. So, initially I was at an air bnb for 2 weeks until finding my place.

    How much can esl teachers make in spain?

    • @briannaaking
      @briannaaking  2 місяці тому

      It depends on your contract with the school. I made 800 euro per month as a language assistant, and there are other academy jobs that offer around the same. I am unsure the exact amount esl teachers make.

    Its f*uck*ng expensive, you cant aford this by your own. Groceris are not cheap! Not for us, never was so expensive. I dont know if you get paid from your country or from spain. But spanish salaris are usually rubish

      I find I am able to live off the wage through being a Language Assistant, but I did come here with savings, so I could afford to travel.
