I have an Ivy gourd plant that flowers alot but no fruit at all. Would you happen to know the reason. Thank you for educating us on gardening and encouraging us to grow our own.
Hi Sir, Your videos are very informative and helpful. Could you please provide links or details for indian vegetable seeds . e.g. egg plant, beans, cucumber, ivy gourd, bottle gourd. I m in california too. Thanks
Can anyone help regarding squash? Trying to grow crookneck squash. Plants are flowing mostly male flowers. The females are not really opening. One did, tried to hand pollinate did not take. Any tips on why I'm not getting female flowers or how to get them to fruit? So cal, inland empire. Temps are averaging 102 degrees
It is too hot. I am in the high desert. Squash in summer is very difficult. Most of my flowers die before they can do anything. I find my squash do much better in spring and fall. You can try putting some shade over your squash, see if that helps the flowers. I have generally given up on the squash doing much in summer except maybe staying alive. I try to get them to start flowering in spring, hoping for some fruit set, then wait until fall to see another flush of flowers. So far, I think squash is difficult in very hot areas. This year, I put my entire garden in 50% shade and the plants all seem to love it. However, even in shade, over 90 deg fruit set is probably not going to happen. I am waiting for cooler days for better fruit set on the fruiting plants.
hi dear i am from india need your help i want know that after taking the cutting from mother plant how many days we can keep the cutting so that it will be safe for propagation, like i was out of station and there was a rose plant i liked a lot, wanted to take the cutting but it takes 3 days from there to go back home so that is my concern
I’ve tried to ripen tomatoes on the vine but something(s) always get to them, so I started harvesting earlier and have about a dozen sitting on my counter waiting to ripen. My leeks, bell peppers, shishito, and cukes did really well! For the first time too, my basil is thriving! 👏
Thank you for showing plants, fruits, or vegies that are sometimes less than 'perfect'. It gets frustrating when other UA-camrs show only fantastic specimens that are beyond what we have. Enjoy your videos.
@California Gardening,my opinion on why the Burpless Cucumber is called bacause it's similar Burpee's Seeds company name& what the best way to promote it with a homage/nod in honor or pad once self in back for their own success?.

The only reason I would love to live in CA, is to grow all those fruits that in hot Texas we can’t 😅
Yes CA weather is great for most fruits! TX is not bad either but a little on the extreme end during summer and winter
Very nice video
Hi! I just recently found your channel and I love it! I'm in zone 10A in San Diego and it was hard find people growing in my zone.
