I would never of thought there are still wild trout in SoCal. You should try fly fishing these streams. It's less harmful to the trout...no treble hooks if you intend to release them. Looks awesome there.
I normally try to fish them barbless, if the hook is not barbless I Usually pinch the barb to make sure I dont harm them. I do take home a few here and there but only stocked trout. Wild trout I always release them.
@@101ServersMinecraft best advice I can give is to always look up the regulations for the area for which you plan to fish. For this specific area it’s a total of 5 trout, you can use flies or lures. 🤘🏽
@@egld2020 Santa Ana river got washed out I wouldn't recommend it right now. All wild trout got washed out due to the heavy rain we got a few months back.
