Many, if not most, of Diasporas are looking to Africa simply to find rest. It's a journey. Whereas one country may not meet you where you are or, where you destine to be, we are learning that the buck doesn't stop there. The beauty of Africa has so many places to explore. Just so happens that Kenya, for us, has all the comforts of HOME. Beautifully, we've discovered many others seeing, feeling and thinking the same. We were fortunate enough to host a wonderful meet and greet with some incredible Diasporas who travelled here. Such a purely divinely experience it was. So much so, words are really inadequate to describe. However, we've attempted to do so in this episode of our Intimate Conversation.

Greetings Residential Tourists, “The Muhammad’s”. The journey back to ourselves will be a long and difficult one due to the mental colonial mindset, Western norms, folkways and traditions to include Western religions that has been instilled in the minds of Africans on the continent as well as Africans in the diaspora. With that said, I think that Kenya is in fact that place to start or restart. Best wishes on your journey there on the continent- Kenya and thanks for sharing your most intimate moments with us.

I have been studying Africa especially Kenya for 7 years. I visited last year as I also have an NGO there and I connected with the place immediately even in the Dessert with the tribes. I think being raised in Jamaica in the country jungle helped as the similarities are so similar. Will be moving for good this year. Blessings to this wonderful couple.

Africa is underpopulated since Africa is 12 times the size of India . India population 1.43 billion . Africa population 1.46 Billion .
Black diaspora including Afro-Americans(45-50 million),Afro-Brazilians(at least 90 million),Afro-Mexicans, Afro-British, Afro-Palestinians, Afro-Iraqis, Black Ethiopian Jews, Afro-Turks,Afro-Iranians etc at least 400 million can all fit in the continent and still more land .

Thanks. I feel lucky as a Kenyan even though I hate our politics with passion. Even in the politics we get things right once in a while... we realize when we go to far into the wrong and find a way to right the ship. It's just not fun when things are wrong. Having engaged citizens helps. We don't all run away. I give credit to even the "worst" politicians because they're not 100% stubborn. I really don't know what makes Kenya good but it has to be spiritual -- something we can't see. We don't have the mineral resources that many other countries have. Maybe it's the painful fight against colonization.

Eid Mubarak!!! So happy and excited for you both. I truly don't believe in mistakes. We are always where we are suppose to be. You were meant to be in Kenya and I pray (know) your new business will be a huge success! I also believe that Louise will always be with you as your angel. Isn't it amazing that Allah gave her the opportunity to visit and fall in love with Kenya, before returning to Him. She was very proud of you, and had no doubt that you would be successful! When I went to Ghana to teach for 2 years in 2006, Mother Tynnetta Muhammad said to me, "our cortex is highest when in the Motherland. So, always follow your gut feeling. It is from Allah." You may not have known how you'd feel or what you'd do in Kenya, but your gut was telling you to go and be there. Once you followed your gut, Allah manifested the rest. May He continue to bless and guide you both. InshaAllah, I'll see you there in Kenya soon! Much love to the family!

I am glad you all are feeling at home in Kenya. What I did not know when I started my journey of discovering my ancestral roots is that I and many other Black Americans have DNA in East Africa due to mitigation of African before the slave trade. As a result, my DNA is primarily West and East Africa, with a small part being North and South. I said all that to say maybe that is why you are feeling at home in East Africa because it was home before the mitigation to western Africa.

Owning land for me is a BIG DEAL for very powerful reasons. The truth is that "Coming Home" equates to a really tough path of acquiring land ownership in Africa for the diaspora. Anybody with a buck can own land in America, even if you don't live there... Repatriation is being dramatically stymied as long as countries like Kenya make it mandatory for you to live there legally before citizenship and citizenship is required before being allowed to own land! I'm rested enough and now want to move to the next level.

The girls are fine. In fact, even better now that we are in Nairobi. Go check some of the other videos. Also, they are teenagers, so they think we are lame, old folks, and most times run from the camera 😂.

Hello the Muhammads. Okay, we can't just go past your first reaction to that green looking drink whatever that was that you clearly didn't like. lolest. So what was the first drink that was nasty? Then what was the second lighter drink that the waiter brought and asked you to first taste it so you could tell him if it tasted okay? Have to ask so when I visit this December God willing I make sure not to order that. I love your honesty Mrs. Muhammad. That's me all day. 🤣😂😅. Gotta keep it real always. Nothing wrong with that. I am learning that in my early 50s now. I have got to be happy and take care of me more.

As a guest of US Civil rights Organizer , Charles Cobb Jr. Kenya's Independence VP Oginga Odinga was once arrested in Atlanta while in Atlanta protesting against Black discrimination together with 17 other SNCC students .
This was an embarrassment for the relations between US and Kenya after the state realized that they had locked up Kenya VP . He refused to leave jail until all the black students were released .
    His wishes were granted .

In 1966 VP Oginga Odinga resigned from government creating an ethnic polarization between the two groups(Luo and Agikuyu) .
Most of Kenya's problems trace back to those two groups antagonizing at the expense of other groups in Kenya .
