Re: his accent. Dude's from Boston, a city filled to the brim with Bill Burrs. If you like his humor, I recommend a trip. Forget the sights, hit the locals, the neighborhood bars and announce how much you love and respect the New York Yankees.
Bill Burr has a way of making the most controversial statement you've ever heard, then explaining it in a way that totally makes complete sense, to the point where you can't disagree with him. I don't know how he does it, but he does, and it's funny as hell
Probably because we live in bizarro clown world where the stupid shit is perceived to be normal and the actually sensible normal shit is perceived to be stupid.
I wouldn't say his statements are extremely controversial. I'd say they are pretty normal statements but the today's Western society has become so hypersensitive and desperate to find sth. to by offended by that totally normal statements look like way over the line.... Like give me an example of 'the most controversial statement' he's ever made. I can't think of any.
@@24wallachian Exactly. I don't think they are controversial. I think he's very honest and says what a lot of people are thinking. But current society as a whole doesn't see it the way we do.
Burr is a legend. He once roasted the entire city of Philadelphia, to their faces, and the city owned up and made changes that Bill mentioned in the roasting. 😂
Bill is from Boston. Hilarious. Love the fact that 3 Brits from Yorkshire, I think really like him. Being from Boston myself, and having lived in England, I really enjoyed this video.
Bill Burr is so funny, partly because he's an equal opportunity jerk. He'll go after everyone, regardless of color, creed, or country. He captures how stupidly funny humans are and lays it out there for us.
@@smtbigelow I think that is the biggest thing. He says what we are all thinking but can't say anymore. All this bull going on these days. Giving all this power to less than 1% of the population.

Same with me. There are several of his sketches that I've seen like eight times (including the one shown in this video) and I still laugh. His jokes are timeless.
Bill does have a very Carlin influenced way of comedy, but totally different enough that you don't notice until somebody points it out. I'm a fan of Carlin also 🤘

You know that pause she does when asked to describe him she was debating if she should say that he's black. :D I was thinking either Carlin or Dangerfield until she said he had a heart attack.
Shit now that I think about it more I think Dangerfield does have a bit about how his wife says he can't have sex anymore after having a heart attack. He also has the joke where he asks his doctor if his heart is good enough for sex and the doc. says not if you join in.

when I see a pitbull & I know the owner I smile at the pitbull and tell it "hello gorgeous how are you" and they melt in your hands, they are the most loving dogs if you show them love.
I enjoyed your reactions! Norm Macdonald does a bit where he talks about life and how his father died of a heart attack. I've never seen, nor will I ever see someone as funny as Norm. Wonderful soul, brilliant, funny, takes a concept that is commonly accepted by the masses and then deconstructs it so effectively that the ridiculousness of the idea is laid bare... and you don't even begrudge him for it if it was an idea you had previously accepted. it never feels preachy or pushy. I miss him every day.
Bills right, my mom pretty much just phoned it in . I was basically taking care of myself by the time I was seven or eight years old . Most days she would just stare out the window drinking coffee smoking cigarettes and listening to the radio . Never really cared where I went or what I did the only thing she was concerned about was that it didn't get back to her and she had to deal with it .
Its weird.. because I grew up with big German Shepherds... any they were angels... while taking care of me. So many people, including my wife thought they were violent monsters.. but I could literally climb on, wrestle.. just be best friends... I "rescued" a free dog version a few years back.. wife and kids could not be more in love. He has defended against many random threats.. really.. like snakes, pitbulls etc.. (I live in Florida).. and he still is sweet and caring without any worries.
German shepherds are great, but owning a rescue pit bull is insanity. And in fact, Bill and Mia got rid of the dog after their child was born because they didn’t trust it.
It is not that they are violent, but the can have behavior problems and be high strung. Nothing that training cant fix, but most people never properly train their dogs.
I have a German shepherd, my dad named him the Portuguese equivalent to dangerous, he guards our property, he is a big black boy and can stand as tall as me, yet he's the most docile dog we've ever had, he's a huge dork, we never trained him, just let him be, violent dogs are abused into being violent, most "dangerous" breeds are actually pretty docile if you get them as a puppy
I completely remember that duracell battery commercial billy burr is talking about. It was on briefly like 15 years ago. It was probably one of their last major commercials before they kind of became obsolete with smart phones coming out.
Todays mothers do whine a lot. Every now and again I remind my daughter, daughter in laws, and now granddaughter that I was the second of 6. One year apart with the exception of one Irish twin and the miscarriages. By 7 I was changing diapers and cooking for 8, dinners. My mother got us too cub scouts, baseball, football. We didn't have the elite European sports the 1.8 children get now. My father had us hunting at 11, shooting at about 8, and taught us independence regardless of means. Got out of school at 2:15, middle school, walked home, got the 12, Bernie with the 20 and we would play ping pong with ruffed grouse. By 5PM 2 or 3 or 4 were plucked and in the oven. Burr tells the truth in the best way. His best truth is his skit about fat kids, pisses off the lazy sloth mothers. Oh, and I forgot to mention what changing a diaper entailed in the 1960's, take it off, scrape the doo doo into the toilet. Flush, then dip the diaper until it's relatively not covered. Then throw THEM in the wash with other clothes to establish a strong immune system early on.

My family actually rescued two cats. And rescue is a proper term here. First cat we rescued was our cat Bobby who we found on n the middle of a highway bridge. We stopped in the middle of a highway bridge and managed to grab em. He would’ve actually died if he was left there. And the second cat we rescued was found in the exact same bridge but this cat named Everest had the skin on its lower jaw skinned off likely from falling off a vehicle. But we got him fixed up and he is the sweetest cat.
