Thanks for this. A key thing is trust and gratitude to God: for in Him we 'live and move and have our being' (Acts 17:28). We, too, are to bring all our problems to God in prayer: our wants, our sins, our issues, and seek strength from Him. Strength to conquer sin, strength to discern what is sinful from what is not, strength to continue on, and strength even to continue trusting Him. He is worthy - and if you don't constantly seek Him and bring your problems to Him in prayer, you're missing out. (Philippians 4:6)
I used to struggle with envy so much in my teenage years but God saved me and thanks to the grace of Jesus, I'm a lot better now. Just a bit concerned because nowadays, I'm finding myself jealous and envious about vain, little things and I'm ashamed because most times when I feel like that, God blesses me even more with things I never worked for. He keeps showing me what Matthew 6:32 truly means. He knows our need better than we do...He gives us just exactly what we need. I pray He helps us all to be more content.

Speaking of envy and jealousy.. We never know what someone is having to go through to have or keep what is being envied. Have you ever regretted getting what you asked for? I definitely have experienced it. Now I just pray God meet my needs not so much my wants.
As someone who has suffered countless financial setbacks after foolishly financing a used Mercedes-Benz: I cannot agree with this comment more! When others look at it and me impressed, I am quick to let them know that if I had done my homework on the maintenance and fuel costs, I would not have made the same decision. I just liked the look and feel of it, and didn’t realize I’d be lumped into most people who buy a “luxury” brand of vehicle to be seen or feel some weird worldly sense of superiority. It’s definitely been a blessing but more of a lesson. 😕

It is not a sin to want or desire, what is sinful is coveting and envying others to the point of not glorifying to God and allowing bitter roots in the heart to grow into resentments that causes us to be unproductive for God. I have "Godly wants" for example to want or desire to have children, to be married, to serve like other missionaries, to be promoted at work so I can make my family secured and I can help others, to want to be good at playing piano like my teacher, to have a house for my family, a 2nd hand car so it will be easier to go to work, wanting to eat healthy foods to be healthy, wanting to exercise to lose a bit of weight so I can be healthier, wanting to travel to take a break from my stressful career, wanting to feel energetic like my friend, wanting to be like Pastor John having clarity, Christ-driven and spirit-filled kingdom advancing God-glorifying goal life and the list goes on and on. I believe these are valid wants and desires. We pray for our needs and wants. But how about those we did not ask but He still gives??? Well, God is also Father who also gives our needs and wants even if have not asked for it. I have many needs and wants that He gave simply bec He is a loving, generous and blessing Father! He always blesses me with my want to travel not bec I want to covet... We always have to put our heart and mind in a Godly check and inventory to see if all our needs and wants are aligned with God.

Me, who have same sex attraction, even without act, this attraction is sin. I will not go into that life style, trying so hard to kill this attraction, begging God for deliverance, so lonely, when all of church fellow go back to their family. I go to no where. My bad thinking, when i want to die soon, cause i have no purpose in this world. I have no power to share gospel, to evangelize, cause my self can't even enjoy God. Especially when normal men (new born Christian) praise God and they have feast with God.
