Yeah let’s see, 1 minute 20 second cycle, plus maybe another minute or two load/unload best case, so maybe average 3 mins per dispatch. 24 riders/train and capacity is probably realistically 400-500 riders/hour. Maybe they will have extra crew in the station to improve times, but all I’ve heard is how the chain is cutting back on operations this year.

I never realized how much ride time this has. 60 seconds is long for a rollercoaster. This is a blessing for those on the ride, and a curse for those waiting for it.
Long for a shuttle coaster, you mean. A 2-minute ride time is pretty standard for major coasters. But this was never picked for capacity anyway. It's a cheap addition that can drive Flash Pass sales for now and be relocated to a smaller park when its popularity falls later on.
@@brianfoss571 I am talking about ride time where you are actually doing something. Most coasters in that regard are 30-50 seconds. This is 15 seconds longer than ArieForce One

Yesterday it was topped off. They had the American and vekoma flag at the top. I just want to ride it so bad
When people asked for a multilaunch coaster with multiple inversions at Great Adventure, I don’t think this was the coaster they expected.
They’re next coaster which they’re already marking trees for removal for, is expected to be a multi launch thrill coaster so we’ll see.

For those if you who are unfamiliar, a block zone is a section of track that only 1 train can occupy. At the end of a block zone is a method to stop a train incase the block ahead us occupied. This is the safety system that keeps roller coaster trains from colliding with each other. 😂 Sorry I couldnt resist.

I love the multiple LSMs on this ride. I learned from one of your videos that the LSMs are also their to help the coaster self rescue it's self if it valleys.

So glad we're getting these sick, new era Vekomas in the states finally! On our last trip to Europe we got a good dose new Vekoma and they're really, really good!
Of all the new Veroma models, it’s sad that this is the first in the States. I live in the UK and only have a few family suspended models, but Lech, Abyssus, Formula I have ridden and their throughput is fantastic and probably cost the same as this boomerang. But it looks great, not sure it will ride quite as well with a 90 minute queue (line) though.
Vekoma coming hard with this one! Ride capacity and the wait time is going to be the stuff of nightmares though.

When there’s one train then yes. But when there’s more great adventure doesn’t have slow ops.

Was at the park on yesterday, lines were abysmal and I was sick so I only ended up getting on Ka and Toro, family went on Nitro but I was feeling bad so I did not. Toro slapped hard and because of that I can’t complain and the novelty of kingda ka was incredible. I finally see how you channel got the name.
How is the track in this professional animation jankier than a NoLimits 2 coaster?

If you want to ride this get there for rope drop one day and ride it quick. After the merger with Cedar Fair and more competent people in charge this will be at a smaller park within the next few years.

You know if I were great adventure I’d be marketing this as “The roller coaster with the most launches at 7.” Yeah it’s tied with hagrids and cloud shuttle. But hagrids and cloud shuttle don’t market it as that. So that title is fair gain.

I think the type of restraints are really gonna be a huge factor. If multi step complicated restraints then it could be a big problem. But if its quick then maybe not too bad

3 hour wait between season pass meals, what will they do next! charge for restrooms!
Eating every 90 minutes at a theme park is kind of insane. Besides, season dining is a huge loss leader - it only really makes sense to offer 2 meals per visit anyway. Hope this helps make food lines more manageable.

80s ride time 24 people per train assuming 60 second dispatches that's average 617 people per hour..... That's a 1/3 the capacity of nitro. Not looking good for the people in line!

@@ThrillRider247 New vekoma family coasters don't always have them... so their could be 2 trains simply so they have one for maintenance reasons. It won't have both on the track at the same time though.
Which why would they store a train? If there is only one train, they usually store it in the station. Not the storage track. @@ThrillRider247

Great adventure will become a top tier park if they transform king da ka into a swing launch coaster, they can make the first launch 80-90 mph then make a 430-450 ft spike which willl then claim it as the tallest triple launch coaster.

All these swing launched coasters look fun and all, but doesn't it mean that it's limited to one train ops? Seems like a good way to guarantee long waits and unhappy guests.
