Always loved listening to Frank, he has such a superb style and puts so much emotion into his playing. Would love to see him play ‘live’. He never really got the recognition he deserves in the UK, such a great pity. The guys playing with him here are first class.
I've seen this played Live at La Ve Lee Club in Studio City only 3 feet away from me, that little Jazz club could pack a sound punch like nothing else. It was pure bliss listening to you play this with Ottmaro Ruiz, keyboardist; Alphonso Johnson bassist, and Walfredo Reyes drummer. Sometimes we''d get a treat and you'd have the great Toss Panos on Drums.
Theres a video when he came to a Music store in Charlotte NC. ( I live 90 miles away) he torem a new one lol.. He did an AB UN real job teaching modes n harmony, he made it look easy, which it really is... I had his first album in 90s n ab LOVED what he was doing, For post MTV era he was so refreshing...As i guitarist i fall in love w/melody, n Frank flows like Niagara Falls!
santana shapeshifter "angelica faith"is in my opinion one of the most beautiful ballads of the century thinkin also to old jazz ballads-ciao from italy
Son jeu me rappelle le guitariste d'UZEB, c'est magnifique. Oui, je me souviens il s'agit de Michel Cusson, c'est assez proche, un grand melodiste. Ça me rend un peu nostalgique...
Let the young athletic guitarists learn a lesson from Mr. Gambale: THIS is how you make music! None of the newfangled guitar artistry matters, as it's nothing but a display of technique and speed.
Please spend some time listening to Matteo Mancuso and rethink your comments. Don't forget Frank has been playing for 50+ years. Give some of the newer players a chance to age and mellow out.
@@robblakeslee4927 Sure, as long as they are perceived as young players that still need some maturing. But it seems to me that artistic playing is the new "maturity". Jaw dropping artistry is what it is, but music should be so much more than just artistry and gymnastics.

Frank invented sweep picking and it is only a tool for him not the end game.
@@bluwng And he doesn't use it to show off.
