The way Hugh understands Checo’s English, It’s very peculiar, Because Checo speaks English but sometimes thinking in Spanish, and Checo has a very Latin sense of humor, sometimes ironic, and Hugh picks it up right away. Both in high and low times. They now each other have their best oportunity in each other career.
The best moment was surely when checo was able to guess the tracks just by focusing on the sounds of the engine and throttle . How much instinct and feel is involved with these drivers - it’s fascinating. There is a great driver still in there - Checo. Redbull don’t give up on this guy , not yet atleast

Checo may lose them the constructor's title. 1 point in a sprint weekend when his teammate scored 33 out of 34 possible. In which world is that not an issue? What's the merit of keeping him in the car is a better question. Genuinely. He has failed so many weekends in a row, time after time, getting beaten in Q3 appearances by a Haas. He's getting outscored virutally 2 to 1 by his teammate. It's a bigger gap than when Gasly and Albon were swapped out.

that's really nice to have an opportunity to get to know Checo's race engineer just a little bit better! If I look at non verbal communication I do believe there are good positive vibes between Checo and Big Bird. It's very evident and endearing to notice that Hugh isn't really comfortable at being in the spotlight like here, he comes across as a bit shy and mellow. It's quite "sweet" that Checo says he notices Hugh is a bit nervous here... a thing like that does define Perez as a human. 2023 is a challenging season for them both (the "we" Checo always refers to, I am assuming) would be cool if Perez can pick up a race win before the season ends that we'll see Hugh next to him on the podium again, like in 2022. And oh my gosh... I love those trainers he's wearing!!!
Your assumption is correct. Each time Perez says "we" during interviews, he refers to himself, Hugh, and the rest of the team on his side of the garage. Max and Perez share crew members, but there's also his side and Max's side.
I absolutely love these podcasts. We learn so much about the team and the RB community. Yet such relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely fabulous. Love Checo and always rooting for him even during his hard times.
Huge crowd to Hugh as well! He's tasked with keeping Checo's morale up along with his own. It must not be easy to see the other side of the garage on a victory roll. I'm sure he and Checo will rise to the challenge next year! 💪😎
Loved this episode. Great seeing both Checo and Hugh together. Besides the common "Max and GP" request, would love to get other figures from the race team on her like Jonathan Wheatley or Pedals, or even some of the other unsung heroes who you'd normally see down in the garage putting in the hours and setting those blistering pit stops.

I didn't trust him on the radios all the time, but It's good to see that he just seems to be a man of few words but this interaction helps "humanize" him more. Although I'm still salty at RB for a lot of things I think the main problem is their lack of attention to their 2nd garage, difficult car but hope they can get it to work better for Checo to keep fighting!

These Talking Bull podcasts are really well done, props to the team behind it and Nicola is doing a really good job as the hostess with some really nice followup questions along the interviews. I hope there will be one along the way that gives a bit of an insight into the IT needed during a race. Is there a mobile server setup going to each track? How much is done at the track / factory? How much data is being processed? Some of it briefly got touched on during some of the talking bull but would love a more in depth episode about it. Looking forward to the upcoming podcasts!

As a Mexican fan, Checo is our hero and it will be a true privilege to be in the Mexican GP supporting Checo as best as I can 🇲🇽🙌🏻, vamos Checo! It’s kind of weird thinking this is the best season ever in F1 for Checo in terms of points, however, we are looking for more consistency and better qualifying sessions, if we can get that from Checo, we will reach the next level 🙏🏼 Overall, it’s been a positive season, even with the mistakes and the hard times, Checo has contributed positively to get the constructor’s championship and I’m confident he’ll be keeping 2nd 🥈 place in the driver’s championship

I'm sorry, but I hear their interactions each race and I think he doesn't provide Checo with vital information or takes care of him properly. Seems more worried about slowing Checo down, managing tyres, than pushing him to run faster. It's frankly odd. While on Max's side he is constantly assisted by GP, Bird's assistance to Checo seems overall lacking. And that reflects on the results. It's bothersome to see Checo's garage have such a mediocre performance for a team so big. He deserves better and is a gentleman not complaining as he should.
There is some truth to what you say. But Bird isn't the one who keeps failing to get out of Q1. Checo has to take that on his own shoulders. I am a Checo fan.

Bird is a rookie that began as Main Engineer only 3 years ago, and it seems he is not cut for the job. While GP, to start, has years of experience, and was even Checo's engineer before being Max's. The car is developed to Max's driving style. When they began the year with a neutral car, Checo was not far from Max and even won two races. Drivers don't forget how to drive from one day to the next. Even Marko said the car was developed to favor Max. So, at least, hace the decency to admit Max's confort and advantage in contrast with Checo's struggles and incompetent team.
One question I have is.... Hugh, why are you allowing the mechanics to change the configurations of the RB19-B so Checo can't drive it? Are these orders coming from Helmut Marco? The changes to the car were very obvious in Australia, he was faster in the first half of practice 3 and after the mechanics change it he can't drive the car. On top of that, RedBull team members smile when he goes off track. Another question I have is.... Remember when Oracle RedBull Racing Tweeted "Following it's investigation into an online incident involving Juri Vips, Oricle Red Bull Racing has terminated Juri's contract as its test & reserve driver. The team does not condone any form of racism." So what should happen to Helmut Marko? The more I read and investigate of what RedBull is doing to Checo, the more sad I get. Checo NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
