@@MindieJ my son sold a sedan axle to a lad & he fitted it to a ute then it locked up the centre so they called me up there to have a look pulled it out again & measured it & sure enough the sedan axle was slightly longer i cant remember by how much now it was a few years now & yes you are correct about the shock mount s i forgot about that

Not a qlder at all, if the car isn’t engineered it legally isn’t aloud on club plates. It actually would not pass a legitimate RWC with all photos attached and sent to vic roads. I have gone through all this myself, the information you have copied and pasted won’t stand in a legitimate car club. This is why the H plates are constantly under question.

From what I’ve seen all VN diffs are the same just the shock mounts are slightly different between Ute/sedan/wagon

Before you do the diff again put adjustable rear upper control arms in to correct the angle it will stop the whine most of the time

I hate to break it to you mate but grease is petroleum based and it will degrade those rubber bushes. You should have used rubber grease.
