I had some salvaged hooks from an old ratchet strap and they worked perfectly for this...they are basically s-hooks with one closed end
i have those too u just gave me an idea was gonna cut a piece of chain and make this u just save me some time

@@davidworld2k6 no just take the loop of another shackle put the screw bar aside and together with a shackle you make yourself an...unreasonable shackle with a little loop at the end of the hook. my guess: the hook was created by cutting the original loop off....
Double truckers hitch is 5:1 and triple is 7:1

А вот резьбовые проушины такелажных скоб отрезать было опрометчиво:
а) круглое всегда безопасней для рук, чем угловатое;
б) выбленочный узел или констриктор с вставленным болтом, ввёрнутым с наружной стороны скобы, обеспечит *прямую* линию натяжки - что может оказаться важным при критично малой прочности верёвки для вытаскивания машины, севшей на брюхо (в этом случае полиспаст собирается с замкнутыми скобами, держащимися на верёвке болтами в выбленочных узлах)
But it was reckless to cut off the threaded eyes of the rigging brackets:
a) always round easier on the hands than angular;
b) Clove Hitch or Constrictor with an inserted bolt, screwed on the outer side of the brace, will provide a *straight* line of interference - that can be important when critical of the low strength of the rope for pulling out of the car, sat down on the belly (in this case the VG is going with the closed brackets, hold onto the rope bolts in Clove Hitch)

why ruin a good shackle for good by cutting off the edge to create the hook for the unreasonable shackle?? keep the loop on so you can at will use it as a normal shackle. just sell 2 pairs of normal shackles with a suggestion of how to use them as "unreasonable shackles".. check ua-cam.com/video/WB4e-2ukr-c/v-deo.html
S hooks might work also
