These little mom and pop shops are a dieing breed I'd actually enjoy visiting stores like this shoot on slow day might even bring him lunch all we have is pawnshops with big city attitudes and just isn't working for me I'm from West Virginia and use to the little stores like this but had to move thanks for sharing it's nice to know there still around brother
That was cool I love those old coin & stamp shops! My dad got me into collecting coins and stamps when I was little. I don't have anymore because I gave all of them to my kids when they were little. They are grown now with kids. Great video! Keep on stacking and checking out old coin shops!!! Metal or die!!!
3:18 The most expensive stmap in the world is the penny black from Muaritius i was born there so i know. This stamp was sold for more than 2.83 millions pounds. Mauritius is the 3 rd country to used stamps way before USA
Wonderful video. I have never been too into stamps, but seeing some of those examples and the history behind them was really interesting. Thank you for sharing this.
Man I could listen to Virgil all day long talking about stamps, coins, and his days in the military. Awesome first stop. Glad your trying to get some vintage brother. Like I said in my video it's getting harder and harder. Can't wait to see where you went next.
Thank you very much fam! I know exactly what you mean about Virgil. He's super entertaining and passionate. I'm gunna have to work hard to top this video 😆
veteran set some blast gem bu white Morgan's on a numismatic news magazine in an oak or cedar box and look at them a year later.. a well-known coin author told me that one.. it works really well if it once was a cigar box and / or sitting closed in a window or fire mantle 🤪
Super interesting video! Not a fan of stamps but enjoyed listening to this gentleman. I feel like I just took a crash course in rare stamps, lol! Vintage silver is hard to find now- so many people want to collect it.
Great video man. I dig these types of informational vids that also show how LCSs could be. My local shop is always quick to want to get people out of there. It seems like they're not even trying to sell. It's like they're doing something illegal but who knows. I primarily get from online dealers because of it.
I'm sorry you are being robbed of this experience fam. Hopefully you find a good spot one day because these interactions are priceless 💯🙏 and thank you very much for the support!
Cool shop, really enjoyed listening to the information this gentleman provided. I love the history from the items shown. Ron & I need to take a trip to San Antonio and visit this shop. Ron is a stamp collector too....Actually, I think collectors collect just about everything! 🤣 Thank you for this video....Mrs. Empire
Haven’t seen a coin shop heavy into stamps ever anymore. Mom had a old collection she had looked over and was all junk. And seems nobody atleast in Michigan at any coin show that even gives 2 second looks at stamps. Buying or selling. Coins and bullion only for me but cool old guy and shop.
I have a penny black stamp in leather case w al paper work, it bought in 1982. Im not into them but I know its worth few buck, it says its first stamp ever. I dont kow were to get rid of it, Id love to visit his shop! thank you for very much for sharing as always you killed it.
Not many things a man can collect something to where you can actually find stuff from the 1500s or 1600s and afford it like coins and if ur a history nut that's pretty hard to pass up but what got me started and my main agenda is stacking silver as a savings because I was collecting toys and kinda figured if I'm going to collect why not something that's actually saving money
I'm not surprised 😆 anyone that has a 5min conversation with him is prepared to buy Stamps. He's so passionate you can't help but want in on the action! But he was also moving a lot of gold coins while I was there.
I'm a native and have never been to this coin shop! I'll have to check them out soon!
Also, Metal or die!

What a great video. I may have to plan a trip. He sounds like a great guy to talk to and I don't know what I would enjoy more, him or the coins. 😂😂
I know exactly what you mean 😆 I could hangout in the shop for days!
Great charisma 🤠 ...a lot of people aren't that natural in front of a camera.
I know! I wish he lived closer than a 20hr drive 😆

Dang, that sucks 😕 if you're ever in Texas you know where to go!!! I'd like to see Stamps make a come back. The history is fascinating

Exactly! I view it as a transfer of wealth, not a purchase. I'm also a sucker for the art 😆
Stamps seem too fragile to optimally store value but what do I know? I have considered rare comics so I guess that is the same thing.
13:21 eggs LOL
Zeppelin?? I drove Uber picked up a guy who lived in New Jersey when the Hindenburg Zeppelin crashed caught fire killed a bunch of people.🔥🔥
Oh dang! That would have been insane to witness 😳
I'm surprised he's still selling stamps. Market has pretty much collapsed compared to what it once was.
I'm not surprised 😆 anyone that has a 5min conversation with him is prepared to buy Stamps. He's so passionate you can't help but want in on the action! But he was also moving a lot of gold coins while I was there.
