Mark Nelson is a good ref. Hopefully Nelson doesn't let Fury lay all over Usyk the same Michael Griffin didn't allow it in the Ngannou match. Clinching is one thing, but Fury is dirty sometimes.

@@mvee05 I like that idea. It seems many don't want to see Usyk vs. AJ 3, but I do. AJ's more dialed in and comfortable now. Maybe the third time's the charm and he won't try to "box" with Usyk. Needs to apply that power and pressure.

There's a picture of fury with his top off in Saudi from 1-2 days ago and he still has his love handles and flabby belly. Lots of loose skin. Maybe more than usual.
You could see it yesterday at the open workout even though he had his shirt on.

Steve Cunningham is very underrated, he was robbed in at least 3 fights before Fury. David Haye ducked him for undisputed at cruiserweight. Not forgetting Fury was only young at the time , first fight in America without his trainer in his corner.
Cunningham was a season veteran multi time world champion and has only ever been stopped by a young Fury in 40 fight career, 13 of them fights against men who were world champions.
I always thought Fury was dazzled by the lights, he got dropped, got serious and finished him.
@@psy-op maybe dazzled , maybe didn’t respect Cunninghams power or maybe just didn’t sit to his strengths trying for an early knock out to make a statement. Member his previous fight he got booed a lot against Kevin Johnson for boxing him. So maybe was trying to put on a show.
I just think people take too much from that one fight.

It's obvious the establishment wants Fury to win. Fouling (holding, holding and hitting, head butts, rabbit punches, low blows etc) that won't be stopped by the referee will be Fury's main strategy after he gets outboxed early rounds

Speed and cardio will always beat power and size. If usyk is on form fury won't be able match the output IMO. Alternatively fury gets disqualified when big John jumps in the ring and headbutts the ref 😂👍
Yeah but come on you can't compare fighting wilder to usyk they are miles apart in boxing ability..wilder is a one trick pony. Fury's cardio is good for such a big guy but it's about margins. Either way will be a great fight hopefully it's a clean one 👍

I’ve changed my mind again after rewatching a bunch of both their old fights, and then seeing Fury in the open workout. If he works his jab, then closes the distance and goes to the body/uppercuts he can wear Usyk down. Needs to keep it rough!

Just so we are on the same page. We are still talking about the 'body' shot that all but the thumb was below or right on the protector? Right where the bladder is? Which pre fight was ruled off limits by the ref? Which wasnt the first low blow by Dubois? The protector that was at the same height on Usyk as it was on Dubois? That 'body' shot? Pack it in boys. As for the weight. 245lbs is the weight he should have been if he had any discipline.
Being lighter is what he needs for this fight but what I haven't heard anyone mention is it could back fire if he lost too much too quick. The whole Riddick Bowel syndrome.
Would of been nice if he didn't need to (accidentally) cut himself to get another 4 weeks of training.
My prediction is an ugly fight no one is happy with.
28:00 the difference was Chisora proper stuck it on Usyk - Joshua didn't. Chisora gassed out early because what he was doing was using a lot of energy. Fury will be able to do what Chisora did earlier on - but for longer.
30:15 it will be easier for Fury to target Usyks body than it will for Usyk to close the distance and hit Fury

I think Fury's going to be knackered by the end of this. All the talk of the big man leaning on usyk and the rough house tactics, Usyk's feet make that a harder job than it might sound. He also doesn't just accept teeing up when someone falls into the clinch from 3 feet away like fury has a habit of doing. I think Usyk's going to be able to be on the end of his own range all night managing to not get hit all that much while tiring out the big man. Also do have doubts about Fury after ngannou, even if I think he majorly underrated what ngannou brought to the table and made a meal of that.
