VDI IS A GOOD FEATURE TO REFER TO AFTER AUDIO. WITH THE MANTICORE I FOUND MYSELF SPENDING A LONGER TIME LOOKING AND ANALYSING WHAT THE SCREEN WAS SAYING, AND DIDNT FIT IN WITH THE WAY I DETECT. FINGERS CROSSED THEY RELEASE A LITE VERSION😅 THANKS FOR WATCHING 🧑🦯
I got the deus 2 recently and tried going only on the tones. I decided to stick it on the shaft until I get used to the tone vs vdi. The deus 2 tones are extremely detailed and at least to start it is nice to have the numbers at first. I got the d2 for two reasons, the weight and the tones. Of course the snow is here, so I can only detect in my dreams.
Yes I will be using the screen for around 50-100 hours. First hunt with it yesterday. 1.1 sensi ft tweeked . Video up Wednesday. Good luck
Interesting Liam, I have The Legend, Deus 2 & Manticore BUT honestly prefer The Legend & Deus 2, many times I’ve been fooled by The Manticore and feel it’s time to trade it in especially as I’ll be on my travels soon 😅 keep up the good content 👏👏👏
Been using the deus 2 now for quite sum time definitely agree trust the machine and trust your ears and instincts and the good things will come 👍good luck and all the best for your next trip out 👌👌

Interesting. I think you're right, using tones over relying on vdi. I'll try putting a screen cover on my Legend.
Love the Legend. Just got the D2 with WS6 master and WSII headphones. I’m using the master on the stem for now. Was concerned with navigating settings with just the puck but it’s very well set up and simple. Loving it so far looking forward to seeing how you get along with it.

About iron VDI we got in Latvia some coins who will show up in iron on Deus2 and some gold as well.

I kno that the audio is important, but I have found that audio can lie just like vdi numbers can lie. The only way to be sure is to dig everything, and if you are digging everything then vdi numbers are not helping you at all. Still I am 75 years old and I just don’t want to dig a lot of trash that I don’t have to dig. Therefore I use every feature to help me decide if I should dig or not. That is why I love the Manticore.

thats what ive noticed with people usin the deus 2 or manitcore they wont dig under like 40 for the deus 2 and like you said with the manticore why its all tone

I've put the Deus 2 remote in my pocket for the last few months mate and honestly my finds rate has gone up. Numbers aren't accurate and the xy screen behaves differently in different programs but one thing is always consistent is the audio in PWM in sensitive FT it doesn't miss a trick. Bump the offset to 10 for better separation in iron.
Cheers buddy yeah , the off set has really brought those lower conductors alive, only tiny pellet sized bits of lead up yesterday 3 inchies down 23 id, could really hear them come through
