I'd rather just put the plain cream cheese with some vanilla as the filling on the waffle instead of the mixture with the leftover uncooked batter which contains at that point, raw egg.
If you're worried you can specifically buy pasteurized eggs. Or, you can skip using the batter in the icing. I personally don't think the chance of getting sick is very high especially if you aren't letting the egg white/yolk touch the outside of the shell.
With the waffle recipe where you reserve 2 tsp of the batter for the topping….by doing that aren’t you eating raw eggs when you add it to the top of the cooked waffle? Is that safe?
If you do not have pasteurized eggs, you can always skip that part and leave the batter out of the topping. Safety is always subjective - for me, it's a similar vein to licking batter off of the whisk when making a cake. But for others that is not an acceptable practice. Do what you find works best for you 👍
Haven't had that in long time buck wheat waffles or pancakes . Oh boy that's a craving in its self .Waffles, ham and poached eggs on toast with fresh fruit, jelly, and syrup for waffles.

Hello Ruled Me. When cooking recipes ... can you simply leave out the sugar , including sugar substitutes? Do you have to adjust the amounts of other ingredients if you do this?
It depends on the recipe - you can, but you will likely end up with lower volume of the finished product. For example if you left out the sweetener in the donut muffins, you'd probably have 1 or 2 fewer muffins. You shouldn't need to adjust the other ingredients much, but you may need to add a tablespoon or 2 more of almond flour to help bring the batter together.
It was low-carb syrup. You can make your own: www.ruled.me/thick-sticky-maple-syrup/ Or purchase a low-carb maple syrup from a brand like Walden Farm's or Choczero. Obviously real maple syrup would not be keto-friendly.

The maple syrup wouldn't add sweetness because it is being used to feed the yeast in the cinnamon roll recipe. If you omit the sweeteners in the other dishes, it's likely not going to be that great. The dishes that are supposed to be sweet will probably taste quite bland.
