Sorting out the faulty trigger on the Reximex Regime

  • In this video I take the Reximex Regime apart to see what was causing the trigger issue on the range. This had been upsetting my groupings, as one minute it would fire on the first pull of the trigger, then take upto three pulls of the trigger before firing. Bullpups usually have two triggers. The main trigger and sear in the block, then a linkage leading to a second trigger further down the rifle. These linkages come in all different designs, and the more parts to the linkage and triggers, the more issues can be caused. Luckily the Reximex is a staight forward design and the issue was easily fixed.

    Hi Mark,nice tutorial very handy to know if you have or intend to get one of these rifles,I would say you would definitely recommend this rifle as a good gun,I quite fancy one myself to be honest,thanks for sharing with us,looking forward to seeing your next video,kind regards,Phil.

      Yes Phil, I love it. It feels good to shoulder and is a great hunter, or bench gun. You'll love it. Reximex now has quite a big selection of rifles to choose from, and I haven't heard much said against them. At first they had leak issues with the Ixia, but I think those problems have all been sorted out now, plus they even do a very nice compact carbon bottle version, which is their top of range.

    Great strip down , you could have considered replacement of the aero / nylock nut , and fitted a brass washer to take out usage shocks, those self locking nuts are made in different thickness/ lengths in m4: m5 size range however most are once used style. Nice to watch

    Try a nyloc nut on the piece you had a problem with,that should hold it,👍

      Yes, I'll have to get another one. The one on it is nyloc, but it is worn out with the number of times it's been apart.

    Just picked a Regime up.... so this was pretty handy to know! Thanks!!
    Out of interest.... did you have to drill any anti tampers off to move the cocking handle over to the left?

    • @airgunsniper-elite7385
      @airgunsniper-elite7385  11 місяців тому +1

      No, but it wasn't straight forward, as they put an anti tamper snap off screw on the barrel, which makes things easier to do if you can remove it. Once the stock is off, you can take off the rear nut that came loose on my last video, then the small 1mm grub screw where the linkage attaches to the pellet probe, remove the shroud and pull the framework off the rifle. The reason for this is that the barrel is in the way of a bolt that needs to be removed.

    Hi Mark is it me ?? This gun seems to have lots of little problems considering its not very old !!

      All part of the same issue when you look at it. Once taken apart, the linkage runs with the trigger and pellet probe. When undone, the nut and grub screw are prone to unsrew under constant use through vibration, etc, so loctite is required. Apart from this, there haven't been any serious issues.
