As a designer of this product (started in my kitchen 2016 as a DIY) I am very happy of this nice review. Thanks 🙏 After that I designed Dosetronic and together this is a total Balling auto pilote which was my primary goal from start.
Reddie is an absolute Legend! Even being 7h ahead and eating into his family time (and sleep time), he has patiently guided me through some troubleshooting. Greetings from Portugal mate!
Great to see the local support for you guys in Australia. I'm currently running the Alkatronic Pro, very stable unit. Only issue I've had is when I've mixed the 2nd batch of Reagent the readings has changed but still stayed consistent.
@@chappy6817 from someone who had (suffered is the right word) the KH Director for about two years before moving to Trident and finally Alkatronic: AVOID the KH Direvtor at all costs!!! It constantly looses conection with the app leaving you blind, a pain to setup an even worse pain to update, the rollers on the required Doser will go bad and need replacing every month or ao (depending on your testing frequency)…. Do yourself a favor and go for either Alkatronic (Brilliant) or the KH Guardin (which I personally never used but have always heard good things).
Looks like a capable unit, but i dont understand the price. It significantly higher than all competition. Further the new Essential tester is only ~400 more and will test alk and a bunch of other items as well. I just dont see the value in this.
That’s understandable. This has a doser for alk built in and is also super economical per test. But I agree, if the pricing on the mastertronic essentials is correct, it looks super good value
the running cost of an AT is lowest compared to the Mastertronic. also, the AT PRO has the higher accuracy and is doing a lab grade ph titration method instead of a photometric method. also, AT PRO does ph reading which allows you to control ph related parameters.
What were you hoping to see? This video was about the new alkatronic so it obviously was mostly about the alkatronic… But there is new content every week, so let me know what you want to see!

Good to hear! Hopefully the not remains nice and stable for you 👍🏻
Hope to see a video of Hadley's reef from SydneyReefing on your channel one day!
Working on making that happen :)
Super!
It's a game changer!
Thanks Sam, I’m trying to decide between this, kh guardian or kh director.
Lots of great options to be fair! I can vouch for the support you get with Focustronic though which can be vital with this stuff

Why buy the new alkatronic professional when the essential is coming ??
If the essential is what you need, by all means hold out for it.
I only bought my first coral yesterday after being fish only for 8 months
Exciting times!!!!
Can you use AT Pro with ODA/SDA for dosing Tropic Marin All-For-Reef? Or would you need a dosetronic as well?
Yeah that’s a great question. I think you could use it in the AT Pro on its own

How much is it going to be?
@@jokesaside9207 Essential? The aussie site linked in Sams description has it for $2604. The alkatronic pro is $2255
Whole video is just an advert for Alkatronic. Dissapointing
