Beautiful system & much as im an old school zeovit guy who doesnt use much tech, you cant fault the dedication & systems thinking here or the results ❤
Another great video Sam with an amazing tank , look forward to seeing his upgrade & what an upgrade too by the sounds of it… One of the things why I don’t run carbon with tangs along with other stripping & adding to the system….. See you on the next one 👍🏻
Excellent example of what you can achieve without breaking the bank when you buy quality used equipment in great condition. I'm far more impressed with how he squeezed all that equipment down below. Fitment and having to maintenance equipment in a cramped sump area has always been my frustration with reef keeping, with wire/cord management running a close second.
Very well said on all levels there. The fitment is extreme yet never looks busy. Matt clearly has an eye for this sort of thing with exposure from his work but it takes nothing away from what he has acheived
23:31 are you able to elaborate on the “mesh” used to mount the power bricks? I’ve been looking for a better way to mount mine for a while - what kind of mesh are you guys referring to here? Thanks
Very nice video, I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was discussed on the video and I missed it, but what is the Apex module directly under his Apexe Neptune display module? it looks like a FFM module, but with a digital display. Cheers, John
@@ParkersReef I mean trace elements. He didn't mention any. There's a big cast of corals in there. Was wondering if 5 litres a day was enough and he didn't need to
I love the hobby, but the prices are mad. Really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I started again after a few years off but just went with a Red Sea Nano peninsula 100L. It should scratch the itch. Great video and tank, thanks.
How did you attach the reef brites to those radions? I can't for the life of me find whatever you have. I have 2 reefbrite strips sitting in their boxes just waiting for me to get them on. I have the same problem of the bottom and under sides of all my sps dying.
What a beautiful tank. Hope you’ll be following along for the upgrade Sam. Charming and sensible guy as well.
You bet! Very keen to keep in touch and see the upgrade evolve. Matt was a pleasure to interview
My favourite video from you by far. He is is very knowledgeable and likeable. Great work Mr Parker
Many thanks!! And yes, super knowledgeable and very likeable!
Well done, nice set up!
It’s a beaut!!
@@ParkersReef sure is

Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful tank! Great set-up. Love the tech.
Incredible tech in this one!!

Yeah carbon is on of those things that I do question if we need it on our reef systems or not. Plenty of solid arguments both ways

Another great video 😃👍
Thanks so much :)
What a system 💯💪👏🙌🔥
It's a stunning tank!
Awesome 🙌🏽
Is a pretty epic setup!
@@ParkersReef for sure 🤩
Wish I could afford all the tech. 🤞🏽 some day a sponsor reaches out
@SaltWaterSteve1 haha never know mate!??
Love the tank once my house is built the plan is a 300g next year
Sensational!!! Good luck with the build
That looks like a 425xl, bigger than 250 liters lol
I think it may be a 350?
wow. i have a similar setup as him here in the US. and yes, i dislike radions due to connectivity and bluetooth issues
They can be a pain like that!!
I haven't had a single issue since the big Mobius makeoiver update in Feb.
23:31 are you able to elaborate on the “mesh” used to mount the power bricks? I’ve been looking for a better way to mount mine for a while - what kind of mesh are you guys referring to here? Thanks
I’d describe it more as a perforated metal sheet than a mesh. Just big enough holes to get a zip tie through to hold the power brick in place
@@ParkersReef perfect very helpful thanks so much!

That's Matt's own made battery backup system. The display shows the state of charge in the battery :)
@@ParkersReef okay..I was wondering if it was a new module from Neptunes. Thanks for your reply. That module looks pretty cool with the display!
Haha yeah Matt has done well, looks like it could be an official part!
Very nice reef. He doesn't dose any elements just a 5 ltr water change a day?
Yep, his trident is managing the big three elements via dosing pumps
@@ParkersReef I mean trace elements. He didn't mention any. There's a big cast of corals in there. Was wondering if 5 litres a day was enough and he didn't need to
Yeah he does via coral essentials a b c that he manually does each day :)

Thank you!
So much cramped down there...how do one solve the issues if there are any..God Bless
Whilst space is tight, it will be systematic. Matt is a smart guy and has this system operating like a fine piece of machinery :)

I think they’re a reefbrote branded bracket, but I could be wrong?
ReefBrite XHO-K15 bracket for XR15s or ReefBrite XHO-K30 bracket for the XR30s is what you’re looking for.
