Tougher match than the score says it.. Bravo Emma for resisting and winning...
*Kerber IS a tough player, but I think she's still finding her groove again, since returning from giving birth.*
@@m.w.976Emma thrashed former No1 Kerber 6-2 6-1 Beat Caroline Garcia in 3! Beat Diana parry in 3 by playing Flawless clay court tennis!
Emma won this match easily still not playing her best tennis.
At times she was brilliant but there is still room for improvement.
She just has to improve that first serve.!
That can be a huge advantage for her going forward.
Also her shot selections at times left a lot to be improved upon.
Saying all that she is playing high class tennis at times.!
The best i have ever seen from her.!
If she gets past Noskova i can see eye brows raising ahead. 😅
She could win the whole thing with a bit of further improvement and a healthy dose of luck?
@@m.w.976 Well Emma was out for nearly a year with 3 surgeries. I don't like one sided excuses
Emma said the match is closer than the scoreline in her post match interview
Another good win for Emma, her third in a row. Let's hope she stays fit and builds momentum for the rest of the season. Things are looking up. You can tell her game quality is there, just needs consistency and fitness.
That's another nice win for Emma over an experienced (though a bit rusty) player. This should give Emma some extra confidence. Her next match against Linda Noskova will be a really good test of where Emma's game stands right now.
she already beaten Caroline garcia and Parry last week... we already kinda know where here game stands
@@sollibrerountil she loses and says it’s another injury 😂
@@spillomina until then go back to your cave 🤣😅🤣
*Kerber was not rusty!! She came back in December!! She had over 4 months to get back on shape. That's a really lame excuse for those that aren't happy that Emma opened up a can of whoop ass on Kerber.*
100% agree. Noskova is tough but those are the kind of matches Raducanu needs to start winning consistently to prove at least to herself that she is Top 30 material. She also needs to string 3 or 4 wins together rather than 2 and out. What we really don't want to see in the next match is a lacklustre performance and a medical timeout after the first set. She needs to break that cycle.
Another bizarre set of highlights. Honestly if you didn’t know the score, you’d think this had gone to a final set 🤔 Although I’m just glad to watch WTA highlights were they don't show a player committing a double fault 🤣
Pretty sure it’s done by AI - totally agree the highlights are always bizarre.
The match was closer than the score line suggests, that’s why. There’s was some good back and forth but Emma won the decisive games and had some good holds.
Unforced errors don't make good highlights. Match point wasn't scintillating.
@@charlesfaure1189 Disagree cause you can have a great rally that ends in an unforced error. A complaint I had with past WTA vids is they only showed winners unless it was set point or match point and they get them from errors.
Yep, you would have thought that Kerber won all the points?
Silly highlights reel.
Kerber got thrashed in this match, but you'd never know based on the highlights.
It often happens that the winning player is just playing more consistent. So, it takes amazing winners from the losing player to score. Then those are the ones that make it to the highlights.
clearly raducanu has nothing apart from her serve :)), her shot making and placement was a trash :D
The 1st set was actually really tight. The beggining of the second one too but later she made many errors.
@@Kwan7 lolz... play some tennis 🤣😅🤣
@@Kwan7she literally won
I wonder if the hate police would come knocking at my door for stating that I hate Emma haters immensely ...I'd better not state it even though I might think it. Emma haters are cowards that cannot accept their inferiority and lash out spitting their evil garbage. Emma is such a pure genuine human being that is just getting on with it !!
hear hear, mate!
I really don’t get, all Emma did was win GS, and every one started hating her.
Really good win for Raducanu as Kerber is a really tough player.
What makes you think Emma is not tough?
@@ricklee5845 She's not had the best of records for the past two years nor the experience of Kerber.
@@movdqa Toughness and experience are not the same thing. You base your claim on recent stats and choose to ignore the fact that she has been out of the game because of operations.
If you hang around for a while, you'll see just how tough she is!
@@ricklee5845 Well, I've always considered an appeal to the future to be a fallacy as you can neither prove nor disprove it.
@@movdqathat’s why you’ll have to hang around 😂
Well done Emma!!!🎉🎉🎉
Well done Emma! 👏❤️
Congratulations Emma. Clay should be great for your style l guess
*She hasn't played enough clay court matches to make that determination.*
@trommmelbiel, I think you might be right. She seems to move well on clay for someone with so little experience and her tenacity and good use of the the courts dimensions and angles should serve her well. Clay is the most demanding fitness wise and that's a work in progress for sure. Plus clay is a bit of a leveler when it comes to serving and that'll help because I don't think that's ever going to be her strongest suit.
It amazes me how cold the women's handshakes are versus the men's.
Kerber is notorious for it, they’re not all like that. Kvitova’s super warm at the net.
Kerber is German lol, they are not that big on emotions :-p
Emma's warm and gracious, but doesn't overdo it; Kerber was a little cold there.
@@crazycatpetera1404 overall, the men are far more congenial at the net
The mobility and agility of Emma Raducanu keep enhancing in each passing step. Another foolproof performance from the professional British tennis player. Even though she hesitated in some serve games, she kept the rallies under the composure with her resilient strikes, contending against such an experienced player was really the most crucial step for Emma. A scintillating clash and extraordinary victory from Raducanu!
Marvellous result for Emma against a tough and experienced Kerber. So impressed by Emma, since her return from multiple surgeries. Hope her form continues...🙌🙌💪🤟
Watched a few of Emma’s matches now, I’m impressed!
Emma gaining momentum now Emma after helping in the BJK cup win, keep up the good work champ
3 wins in a row for her now including the garcia and parry wins. good to see her coming back to form. hopefully stays injury free. looks good on clay!
Raducanu making Kerber feel like she's battling a tennis prodigy and a time-traveler from the future at the same time! 🚀🎾
Good win for Raducanu, important for her confidence heading to the next match
These courts are a lot slower than the ones they were playing on in France last week; seems that way anyway. Miss the energy and the crowd noise of the BJK cup matches. Think those atmospheres bring the best out of the players as well.
Yes slow courts like these really suck, not only do they make the tennis look awful like in slo-mo but they also increase injuries. Badosa is the first one to sustain a thigh injury today and had to retire from her match, there will be more as the week goes on. I want Emma to do well but I don't want her to get injured on this stupid slow court. Porsche really screwed up this year, this was always one of the faster courts. This slow court and these heavy XD balls they're using will ensure Swiatek wins again, it's her favorite condition.
I think cause the cameras are higher up you can see more of the ball travelling which makes it seem slower. This is supposed to be one of the quicker clay courts.
I hated that crowd noise between points; it's really distracting. Also, did you have the sound down yesterday? The Germans were making a hell of a noise trying to gee up their girl!
Good to see Emma rising back up to the level one expects from her. 💪🏻
Obviously this isn't the same Kerber that beat Serena in the Wimby final. Hopefully she can return to her best someday...
Neither was it the same EMMA who 'creamed' the frogs single handedly
Doubtful. She's now in her early 30s. She might do better as this season goes on but she'll never win another slam.
Not the same Kerber in her younger days But understandable. It’s a long time away from competition. She is in a different chapter of her life and a blessing to be in her shoes. There are other things to think about besides traveling nonstop for competitions. It’s about balance between work and family, staying healthy physically and mentally. Her best She is giving one last chance to the sport she loves so much. Win or lose, I admire her dedication and hard work, go Kerber! Seems like Emma is slowly getting her groove back, congrats.
That window is slowly closing. Kerber hasn't been the same since losing that US open match against Fernandez. Fernandez beat the confidence out of Kerber by that third set Kerber was taped out. I think the embarrassment of an unknown teenager at the time taking her to the limit and out playing her on one of the biggest stages in tennis really messed up her mental.
extreme attack vs extrem defense... Kerber was simply overpowered by Emma more than the highlights say
It was great to see Emma mix up her game with some deftly angled backhand slices, drawing Kerber in and making her move about.
Impressive tactical play.
Nice one.
Let's see how she continues!😃I am really excited to see what the future brings for her and hope she can comeback to the high levels!🙂
*Exactly!*
Why so negative?
@@etsidan7003 I actually didn't mean it a bad way because my thoughts were that I am happy how she won this match and I am excited to see what happens next because I don't want to be over positive that she will be amazing now but I am excited how she continues.😃

Alright,Emma! You're definitely back in the mix💯
Good to see Emma. Good win.
Great match ladies, lovely to see Angelique back and Emma playing better every match 👏👏
Looking forward to seeing Raducanu's shape back. She needs these tough matches
Great to see Emma in comeback form....and nice wrist slap at the net post match.
Showed no end of any game. 40-15, then next game....!
Do you want double faults and unforsed errors on GP and BP again????
40-15???!!! That 8-7 40-15 remind me of Wimbly 2019 final. 😂😅
Kerber is terrible. She's lucky she peaked in such a weak time period. At no other point could a weaponless player with no serve win a slam let alone three. The same pretty much goes for Wozniacki as well. They are lucky Swiatek was a girl back then or they all would be slamless.
this isn't the same kerber do not deny the facts that she did won her grand slam defeating the legendary Serena . Give kerber some respect she just back from retirement/post natal.
And Swiatek would be slamless were Serena still in her prime !!
Emma Raducanu can beat just anybody on her day (even I. Swiatek) Injuries are real enemies to athletes
Tag me when she wins over Swiatek
Stop abusing substance, please.
Lol she never beat top10 player
That’s too much wishful thinking
*Emma going to thump Swiatek. Last time Emma play Iga, Emma was injured when she was playing Iga and she still was neck and neck with Swiatek!! It was 6-3 and 6-2, if Raducanu wasn't inured she would have beaten Swiatek! Emma was playing better than Iga but couldn't run down the ball because, again she was playing hurt.* *Watch how easy Emma give Iga a thumping when they play after Emma knock out Noskova, and she will knock her out.*
Great match Emma💪💪💪
🎾😄👏👏👏♥️ Emma depuis ses victoires le week-end dernier tout lui réussit et la confiance est là je l adore
Once again the WTA proves its hatred of Emma with this edit
Good match practice for Emma, she is on her way to win US Open this year..
Er... doubtful!
@@BenjWarrant She is the greatest women's tennis player today.. Just out of form..
@@zoyavijay I've been a fan of Emma since Wimbledon 2021, but as of today you can't call her the greatest woman player. I don't think you could have called her that the day after she won the USO, because while that feat was unparalleled, and clearly the work of a mighty tennis player, she had not at that time been measured against Barty, Sabalenka, or anyone else in the top 10. Plus, her very next match was a dismal defeat at the hands of a very lowly player.
Enthusiasm is great but hyperbole is to be avoided.
As others have said, these highlights cannot possibly represent what happened in the match. You would think that Kerber had won, given the amount of time given to her winning shots. Emma won easily and the video should have featured her winning play the majority of the time. Well done Emma!
I love and root for both of these players and I’m sad they had to play so early.
This is solid from Emma, I really hope she can focus on her game and results and prove all the haters wrong.
She's a good player, and it seems now that she's once again patient, constructing the points and willing to play the rally. If she can have a few wins under her belt on clay, she will have confidence for the grass.
Well done Emma. Congrats 🎉🎉
Big Emma fan, she’s got a great game, well done. Don’t worry.. the haters will be back as they have nothing better to do. It’s just nice to read positive comments for a change.
Briliant! A lovely, lovely young woman who just happens to be a terrific athlete. Well done, Emma.
Could Raducanu finally be finding some form? She has not won 3 matches in a row since Indian Wells 2023
Well done Emma! She’s showing signs of returning to her best form!
Didn't see the match, but these highlights show at least two points where the court has opened up and yet Emma just hits the ball towards Angelique. She has to stop doing that.
maybe she was in an off position while making those shots... not that she played it out of choice.
Agree. She has a habit of doing that which drives me crazy to watch as a fan. I think that's the problem with spending so much time practicing and not enough playing matches. In practice she probably hits back to her practice partner all the time to avoid having to pick up balls.
Don't forget that Kerber is a lefty so you have to adjust tactics to a degree. I sense what's happened is that Emma played shots to Kerber's backhand as, percentage wise, it's the shot to go for, but Kerber kind of foresees it. Anyway, not too alarming really.
Thanks for not bothering to show many of Raducanu's winning points! She's the one who will hopefully pulling in the crowds from now on - not Kerber!!
Good win. She needs to string together a few good deep runs in tournaments to get back into the top 80 and not have to rely on wildcards. Then next stage hopefully top 30 and a seeding at the slams.
Emma won but this was no great match as she said herself. I think she looked tired, her fitness is not up to speed. There's a long way to go with her fitness. I don't expect her to win her next match . But I do hope she does but not at the expense of injury. Still don't understand the absence of a permanent fitness coach. Although I did hear she had that idea in mind a few weeks ago in an interview.
Agree with everything you said. This was nowhere near the level she showed at BJKC last weekend. But to be fair this slow surface doesn't allow anyone's game to look good. Coco's game looked downright painful. Emma so needs a traveling physio who knows her body well to help her properly recover after every match.
She's been working with a fitness coach for weeks. And she still had Will the Mechanic with her in France. She's tired because, as she pointed out in the post match on-court interview, you can't train into the fitness levels needed for tennis, you have to play matches. After today , she'll have played four matches in a week - one of the reasons Noskova might be favourite today - but four matches in a week will really help for her fitness in her next game. Which I think will be against Iga at the weekend, which would be 5 matches in a week!
true shocking comments are acting like she is back, the level from Kerber was so weak, like Ostapenko against Noskova.
Raducano plays well ! !!But not Top Ten !
So many players in WTA are better !😚😛😊
Let's go Emma!!!
Emma has the shots and the talent, to get up the rankings again. Injury free and good coaching could do it.

Emma is now 3-1 vs the Tour Mothers LOL. Serena, Vika, and Kerber. Svitolina was pretty close though.
Emma's winning mentality is here again.
Emma's huffs sound just like The Spirit in Dead By Daylight
She is seriously hot though, of that there is no doubt.

Clearly Emma kicks people's butts without anything special sometimes. So these highlights shows. :D That's talent!! :D
Iga...the clock's ticking on your French Open title!😅
Raducanu going max to 3rd round in FO... 🥸
And whats that supposed to mean?😅
Well done Emma, these highlights favoured Angeliqe more than Emma
Looks like Emma, is playing well on Dirt/Clay 🎾✔️

Still stupidly showing a lot more winner of the looser instead of showing the breakpoint converted by the winner.
Lets go Emma!
I wonder who sponsors this tournament?
Her sponsor, Porsche. 😅
Would love to see Bianca take down Kerber again but I’ll take the win from Emma over her just as well. Keep going Emma!
Emma in serious run
Very odd choice of the points to highlight given the score.
Ended Torben 2.0!
Maybe Emma is much better not thinking too much. Going behind Kerber is thinking too much and most of the time Kerber read it.
Emma seems to be hitting the ball bigger
Good job Emma ! The rest area is so weard !
The "mothers" are dropping like flies! First Osaka and now Kerber... 🤔🤔What's going on ?!

The camera is so far you can barely see the ball
Angie Kerber increasingly looks like Frances McDormand.

Seems like Emma is not satisfied with her performance
I love it. suck it, Ems-bashers!
Good win. But I see the face of someone who's been badly hurt. Such a shame. The innocence has well and truly gone and tennis isn't as much fun as it used to be.
Emma, white dress on the clay court?
Linda will be next tough opponent
These highlights sucks. What's up with the WTA social media team?
They think their product is gold dust and put out videos that are basically teasers; thinking this will get ppl to pay for the streaming service. They're crappy sales people.
Honestly you shouldn't have high expectations from them, considering it's 2024 yet they are still not able to upload a 1080p match highlight to their official channel.
Kerber playing like she's tired.
Oh no Emma was injured in the last few games.
Miss You Angel ......Lets Play One Last Time .... I Miss You.
clay and indoors dont mix...
This means nothing, Kerber is bad, Raducanu is out very soon.
WTA really needs to get tournament organizers to speed up their courts and use lighter RD balls, these slow courts and heavy XD balls are killing the women's game and their players!! Clay and indoor courts for Women's game have always used lighter RegularDuty balls, why have they switched the XD balls used by the men this year? Just to suit Swiatek again? This slow court+XD balls combination makes the women's game excruciatingly slow and painful to watch like in slo-mo, and also cause a lot of injuries. Paula Badosa is the first one to retire from her match today with injuries, there will be more as the week goes on.
You serve, you lose.
Emma should probably change her coach. She'd be the best in the world with the right coach...🤣🤣
I don't think Raducanu will win another slam, but if she does it might just be on the red clay of Paris.

Ranking changes are not determined by who you play.
Her ranking from now on can only goes up, because there is no point to defend until the end of the season
