      It's different. But I did find this on scoliosis. "Scoliosis may also interfere with the flow of cerebrospinal fluid ( CSF ). And when the CSF pressure in the brain is low, debilitating headaches can occur. With scoliosis, certain types of pain are warning signs that it’s time for a trip to the doctor." You can google "scoliosis affects cerebrospinal fluid flow" and get stuff on it. Also, you can get tension headache from tight neck muscles that are trying to stabilize a cervical curvature.

    • @ParalyzedLiving
      @ParalyzedLiving  9 років тому

      Shmiddler Yes, the EMS is the only method I have had success with. I'm honestly not sure how high of a frequency it can go. The model I have is fairly cheap (around $35 called the EMS 7500) so I'm sure most other EMS units would work as well. I use it on a continuous pulse width of 300 and a frequency of 100. I have not experimented with any other settings.I bought it off amazon as well. I have a battery converter that replaces the 9 volt so it can be plugged in. This way I know I have the full power all the time.

    Hey Brian. I was wondering whats is the name of the loops that you showed for ems 7500? And did you find them more or less effective than the pads? Last but not least is there a certain gel we should use?

    • @ParalyzedLiving
      @ParalyzedLiving  9 років тому +1

      khabeer Palmer Not sure the name of the loops but I personally found them to be less effective than the pads. I use 1.5" pads and it seems like the more surface area you cover the better. That's just my experience though. Spectra 360 electrode gel is what I use. It also helps restore the stickyness to the pads if you use them more than once. A little goes a long way.

It feels like a migraine times 1,000,000, combined with horrible sweating, nausea and lightheadedness. I was given nitro glycerine spray to use if it happens. I don't get AD often, but it has happened after orgasm. Thanks for letting other know about that, because it will helps a lot of new SCI patients.

    I have had an AD headache caused from a different situation and I ranked the pain up with my original back fracture. I literally felt like my head was going to split open and I sincerely would not wish that pain on my worst enemy.

      Gimp Geek Agreed, it was by far one of the most painful uncomfortable feelings. It lasted for well over an hour too.

      I too agree that AD is the worst feeling in the world. It feels like a migraine times 1 million combined with nausea and profuse sweating.

    I'm in nursing school and I gotta say it's super interesting to hear about this kind of stuff no one talks about. It just never occurred to me that people living with disabilities like spinal cord injury can still be sexual. You're blowing my mind here

    My husband is T8 complete. We are trying to have a baby together. Tried the virberect X3 and it’s not working. We will try the TENS unit next! But I see that y’all had to do in vitro anyways. Can I ask why IUI didn’t work? Was it a sperm issue?
