I have a 2010 Avalanche and only whish it was that simple . You actually have to utthe bottom of the air box and buy a kit so you can do GM's job because my model doest come from the factory with a cabin ait filter or a way to install one ,but a great video on your part anyway !
Hey Mark...Love your videos. I have a 2013 GMC Sierra so when your videos come out...its spot on with my truck. Yes...I did forget about replacing the Cabin Filter. I have only 29,000 miles but seems like I can smell a lot of stuff from outside when the A/C is on. Think that means it could be time for replacement???
Hello, my Silverado C 2500 2007 has the area where the filter would go solid shot, no groove to guide me for the cut, and it did not have the lid. so the space to receive the filter is there, unless I would have to cut the area so I could place the filter. Thanks.
Too bad it took gm until 2014 to realize people would like to change their cabin air filters.

I have a 2011 Silverado 6.2 with tow package. Can't find the cabin air filter location under the RH dash. Is it behind the glove box?
My 2011 doesn’t have those screws when you open the glove box ? So does mine have a filter ?

Wow I never change mine I completely forgot about those. 2012 GMC Sierra 1500. Has 239,000 miles on it. I usually change them in the cars but never with my truck lol

Yes all of the air that circulates in the cabin either air or heat go thru this filter

Critical Knowledge doesn’t have one, and I actually traded that truck last month because the ac wouldn’t work at all and the during the winter wouldn’t melt the snow or even heat up smh

Chris retrofit? Why would you want to add this if it doesn’t come with it. I have a 2012 it started making noise by the glove box this morning and my AC isn’t blowing... any thoughts?

1013 models had sails or horseshoes, not engines.

2007-2013 didn't come from the factory with a cabin filter. There was a retrofit kit that the dealer would add if the customer complained of dust but most don't have it.

Because there are dozens of different manufacturers and part numbers, I have a long list if you need a specific brand's number. MOST brands have an online catalogue too, Wix, Promotive, FRAM etc all have part number lookups by vehicle on their websites.
My 2011 GMC Sierra doesn't have one
You can install one. I did mine today. Took about 2 hours. I had to cut the plastice cover out they didnt put one in but theiris a kit you can buy.
Did not help me on 2009 gmc
