Ahh it's so satisfying to watch this as a German (usually we are the ones that can't get the products mentioned 😈)
oder? :D
Omg ja!! Hab ich auch gedacht
we are in trouble
YESSS
Jaaa habe ich mir auch gerade gedacht 😭💞
i’m not vegan and don’t live in europe, but you’re so genuine and inspiring that it encourages me to try my best with my circumstances:) your relationship with food (or at least how you present your videos) and your delicious recipes has truly helped me to enjoy life a bit more. thank you
Tip from a Tempeh Lover also living in Germany: Get your tempeh at the asian store (they have it in the fridge section or the freezer section), you get a huge pack there for like 1,90 and it takes super good. :) You can always freeze it and thaw as much as you need, since tempeh always is so expensive this really saved my tempeh loving soul. :)
I haven't found an Asian store that has tempeh where I live in France and the one in the bio supermarkets are like 4-5€ for 200 g so I decided to start making my own and actually once you buy a starter, everything else is super cheap and you can create your own starter when you have a ready batch too. It's actually way less work intensive than making your own tofu and you can have a pretty big batch for 1kg of dry soy.
You know you love Mina when you live in Turkey, where none of these are available, but still watch and enjoy every video
I commented something like what you said. I live in Mexico but have the "luxury" of crossing the border into the U.S. in order for me to buy products similar as those. :(
@@edyann sorry to hear that hun:( Veganism ain't easy everywhere but we are still crushing it:) (Even not fully vegan, just trying is quite remarkable)
@@asknnurksa3804 Very true. I'm vegan since 1990 so I don't miss the "real thing" but let's face it: Sometimes we want to eat the foods that we used to eat only cruelty free. ♥️
Hey fellow Turkish vegan!
Heyyy^^ what is your favourite vegan product in Turkey? I just want to know some international goodies 🙊🌱💚
Put the soft carrots into a container with cold water and back in the fridge! They'll get knackig again i swear!
omg trying this tip asap!
@@NikkiVegan doing this helps my carrots last for weeks, like 3 weeks. But that’s after buying them i put it into water, and I try to seal it but I don’t know if sealing is necessary.
They’ll get knackig
Oh yes, that works so well! Same for radish. And it also works well for salad, just put the stalk in a bowl of water and it stays fresh way longer.
Haha I also wanted to include that tip. It works so well!! 🤗 I put them straight after buying them in the container into the fridge.
Hey Mina, tip from a fellow Berlinerin: if you can, get products like hummus and dates from arab shops (they're everywhere in Neukölln). You'll get better quality for even less money :)
I lived in Freiburg, Germany for my erasmus last year and became obsessed with streichcreme! pro tip: mix it through cooked pasta with a bit of pasta water and any veg you like for an instant creamy pasta sauce!
the great end of veganuary💚🌱 To all vegan newbies: Welcome to the community💚🌱
Mina's videos count to my favourites😊You have found an amazing channel😄
Iam now vegan for over a Year and her videos helped me to show my family that vegan is sooo yummy :-D
@@sheenaatem319 haha same😁🌱 the 18th of February is my vegan day😇
@@paulilina7192 mine was 1t of december. I thaugth: when I can go vegan on december, than I can do it every month. And Ive done it!
@@sheenaatem319 That's great🌱😇To become vegan was the best decision of my life😁
last time i was this early it hadn't snowed in Berlin lol
I wonder she didn't metioned: Oatly. Everything they make is amazing. The barista oat milk is gold standard, the cream cheese spread is perfect (all of them), the cooking cream as well. I will buy everything with the oatly logo on it!
Maybe because there was kind of a little scandal about oatly, something with selling some parts of there brand to a not ecofriendly bigger brand or something in that way....
@@littlesupergugel4382 Also the brand was connected to supporting Trump. I don't remember the details, because it was like 6 months ago when the information was discussed on social media.
Is Oatly available in Europe tho?
@@sindhuv7986 Yes, it is.
@@sindhuv7986 it’s swedish brand
As a czech person, I can finally relate and actually make notes. yay for dm, rossmann and lidl!
The BEST vegan nutella recipe E V E R:
For 750gr of "nutella", melt 200gr of canned coconut milk and 200gr of dark chocolate using the bain-marie method.
Once it's all melted, take it off the heat and add 90gr tahini, 20gr unsweetened cacao powder and 70gr maple syrup and mix well.
In a food processor, blend 100gr of roasted, unsalted hazelnuts and half a tablespoon of coconut sugar (or black sugar).
Add it into the bowl and mix everything together. Keep it in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
(credits go to Madame Ginger and her cookbook)
don't know where you live but you should try italian Nocciolata its soooo tasty and of course without palm oil 🤭
Sounds like a gem of a recipe, thank-you, going to try it!
@@ninagore13 sounds delicious! This is just a healthier version without too many sugars, oils etc in general :)
@@CloudSpirals hope you enjoy it! :))
Also tofu: always buy in the asian market. Cheap as hell and the consistency is so smooth and perfect. You will never go back to regular store bought tofu. Trust me. My asian market also carries soy chunks and tvp, as well as peanutbutter, tahini, canned beans, lentils, tempeh, soysauce etc. And everything costs like half as much. Asian markets for the win!
Ya....cheap and genetically modified, way to go.
@@m.b.5872 well the tofu my local asian market carries is made in this city, organic and non gmo (as gmo products are only allowed in animal food, not in human food in germany as far as I know). Maybe I'm just lucky, but maybe give it a shot and check the labels :)
For all sometimes vegan fellas out there like me: I highly recommend the vanilla oat milk. It slightly sweet and the hint of vanilla covers the slightly “dusty” (like you know that not completely fresh, zingy flavour). It’s great for beginners and people who don’t really get to like plant milk. Tastes amazing cold, in coffee, for sweet baking.
Honestly vanilla oatmilks nasty but the chocolate one from oatly is goood
@@larlue5524 I like vanilla soymilk tho
Personally starting vegan, I did not enjoy oat milk. I started with almond milk and moved into soy milk which I love and usually have to buy two for my household because it finishes within the week. A little hard to find these milk alternatives though without sugar, which I am trying to avoid, but I know I should keep looking (:
Sometimes vegan?
@@niamya3097 I started with soymilk and I stil don't really like it:/ But there's an almond soy milk mix which is pretty good. Oat milk is still my favorite tho:)
Idk where you're from but I find it really easy to find plant milk without sugar in Germany
I live in a very small town in Brazil so I don't have plenty of vegan options, but the video it's so cool, I hope one day this place became more vegan friendly. I want to live there in Berlin haha
Hi
You forgot the „Kokos-Mandel“ Spread by Alnatura! I guess you mentioned it in one video some time before (or maybe on Instagram) and said it tastes like the filling of Rafaello and IT REALLY DOES and since then I loved it haha! Nice video in general, you always give me some new ideas to try things out :)
True that one is something special
okay, I actually bought this today because I read this comment yesterday and was very curious about it. I wasn't disappointed, it' so so SO delicious, I could eat it with a spoon right out of the jar
I usually just make my hummus myself to save plastic (and also I always have like 10 jars of chickpeas in my pantry):
add all the ingredients to a food processor, process them and you're done:
1 can of chickpeas, 2 tbsp tahini, 3-4 tbsp soy yoghurt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1-2 tbsp olive oil (optional), salt, pepper, dried herbs of choice (I like basil a lot) and there you have it :)
It's also really good with some dried tomatoes
The DM Streichcreme Gartenkräuter is the best spread ever 💞 so yummy 😆
I needed something like this. I live in Slovenia so we have a lot of the same stuff here so this was really helpful! I'm here for more
Tfw sojavanilijevo mleko iz milerja za 99 centov 😘👌
listen when covid is over I am gonna fucking go to Germany just to shop at edeka
not worth it man haha I fell like other countires, especially the UK and the US have a lot more choice. Also Edeka ist really expensive :(
@@oflifeandstuff Haha good to know, there is a chance I'm just looking for any excuse to travel :D
@@oflifeandstuff tbh, in lots of American communities there aren't more options for healthy food that aren't priced at ridiculous prices. A small (16oz) Almond butter where I live is $13 and that's way too much. Even the peanut butter that's better for you is priced higher. I think that's a decent reason to head to another country 😭😂😂😂
Obscene word is totally unnecessary but I would also love to go to Germany.
I've watched your videos for a couple of years now I think. And I'm from Sweden, but a few months ago I moved to Berlin to study. So now I can actually buy all these things!!! :D
Absolut empfehlenswert: Kokos- & Mandelmus mit Dattel von Rapunzel und Knusper Frühstück Zartbitter-Schoko Müsli von Bauckhof 😍
oh my god yes that almond butter is amazing
When I first moved to Germany I met a LOT of people who simply hated Tofu and I found out the reason when I tried the regular supermarket Tofus (like the ones they sell in Edeka, Netto, etc). They are usually really firm and dry so I would recommend buying your Tofu from an Asia-Markt. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it.
When she said her kitchen smelt good I was like... oh ya I smell it; that's nice👌
a little tip to keep veggies fresh is to put them in a glass of water and put it in the fridge! i love to do that with spring onions cause it keeps the greens nice and fresh but it also works great with all kinds of other stuff☺
I do this with all my carrots because I buy them in bulk!
I absolutely love your channel!! Thanks for all your work
You have no idea, how grateful I am to have found your videos!! I am in Germany on a whim, because my fiance was coming here for work. So I just took the opportunity to come and experience the country. Needless to say it's been hard for a vegan/glutenfrei sister to eat thus far. Going to a DM tomorrow!
I just wanna say, I literally just found your channel right now and I’m in the middle of binging all your videos because they are AMAZING!
I was literally watching one of your older videos when you notification came in lol. Thank you for the video, love you lots ❤❤
For the spreads: I am a biiiig fan of Senf-Agave which is only sold at Aldi i think and Zucchini-Curry (especially as a sauce for bowls, thinned with a bit water, it's sooo yummy!) which I only found at Lidl.
Also tried the vantastic foods fish fingers, which are sold at Penny, a couple of days ago and they were shockingly tasting like real Fischtäbchen haha
Always love your inspirations on what to buy. Especially the Aufstriche 😁 I struggle to try new ones when I never had someone tell me how they taste. Thank you 😍🖤
I love the small pudding from alpro. The dark chocolate ones are sooo good.
Omg YES I love seeing grocery hauls!! Especially vegan ones AH perfect!!🥰🥰🥰 u are so gorgeous!!!!
Your voice is so relaxing, like asmr tingle relaxing! Also thank you for the suggestions ❤️
Best vegan content on youtube :) thank you Mina for your great recipes and tips, you're amazing
anyone else lost it when she said „bedda fedda“ or is the niveau of my humor just fucked by the inhuman stress level caused by the approaching a-levels? (greets to class of 2021 tho)
Thanks for all the tips! My most favorite plant milk for my coffee is the Barista from DM Bio, it's so creamy and it froths like a dream. For my breakfast cereal I use soy milk from Lidl, it's the cheapest here and I like the taste. And I love hummus from Lidl, it's a little grainy so it reminds me of a home made one.
heres everything she mentioned in the video by name! the brand is first and i included the prices if i remembered them LOL

A definite must try I´ve discovered recently is the Kokos-Mandel--Creme (Cocos-Almond-Spread) by Rapunzel (found in organic stores). It brings a lil summer taste to the breakfast table. On toasted break or mixed in to an oatmeal with sliced banana:)
My favorite kind of video love you mina
Your videos make me so happy. Especially if you mention all my favorite foods like Manilife and NuCao bars :)
Fav vegan youtuber ❤️
The very best tasting milk in my opinion: alpro Soja light!! I live for it!
Bockshornklee Käse von bedda ist soooo gut!! Highly recommend ❤️
YEES FINALLY I LOVE THESE VIDEOS THANKSSS❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was so nice and helpful! Thank you 🌾
Mina you're awesome!! I wait for your videos every week (:
the coconut yogurt by andros! i find it at rewe and it tastes like naturjogurt with just a tiiiiny bit of coconut ❤️
I love your channel and your recipes are so good!!! When the pandemic is over (in like 10 years) I would love to travel to germany just to try some of these products xx
Hi mina
I absolutely love your videos
And your such and inspiration
And that banna bread looks so good
Thank you this is very useful. ❤️ Although I don't live in Germany we have a lot of similar products/shops in Vienna so this was very useful
Just put the carrots in a jar with water in the refrigerator and they stay really crunchy. 😌😉
I loooove oatmilk. It goes so well with my coffee. I love the one from the brand @oatly the grey packaging
Ohh exactly what I needed , great video 🥰
i will try these out. looks sooo good.
You can also find Tofu from Tukan at Kaufland. It is a bit cheaper than the one from taifun, but still very delicious. I really like the pomodoro and italian style ones.
Hi! I love your content, Im from czechia so I love to see someone from europe. Please do grocery hauls more often, It gets me motivated :)
Love the videos where we see you talk to us ;)❤
Its funny because all that stuff Mina shows, I ate in my time being vegan. I dont liked everything, so the veganz stuff simply isnt my thing. I also try to cook as much as possible without replacement products like plant based meat or something. And I really like, that on this channel there are so many tips how to do things by yourself. The simply V cheese is a huge exeption, its simply a gamechanger.
For all the vegans in germany: I can recomend the "völkel" Hafermilch, because its comes with a glasbottle and you can give it back (idk was "Pfand" auf englisch heißt). Since a few weeks I cook my oatmilk by myself, but before that, I always buy this one. And in my opinion the vanilla alpro yogurt tastes like nonvegan "Straciatella", just without the choclat. I discovered it two weeks ago and its soo yummy! Have a great day and stay healthy!!
so im trying to cut back on my dairy consumption, and although I live in America, this gives me a really good reference for similar products to try; im very wary of vegan cream cheese because I tried a locally made cashew cream cheese and it was one of the grossest things ive tried in a while. I really love vegan food, and im excited to branch out from my meal routine :3
Really liked this video. After Veganuary this year, I want to continue to eat mostly plant based. Love your videos and recipes, so easy and delicious! :)
My favourite Hefeflocken are the ones from Senger's. You can buy a Klio at once and they're actually cheaper than the Alnatura ones. And so much more flavour!
ahhh needed a mina video to start my week right :)))
Sojade has a "Alternative zu Quark" in a hazelnut flavor (it's the same 400g tub) and that is the best vegan yogurt I've ever tried (and I normally don't even love hazelnut that much). I get it at my local organic store but maybe denn's has it as well. Great video as always!
I used to shop in Germany pre-Covid. I live close to the border. I really hope this situation improves soon! They have so much more cool vegan products
Some of my favorite vegan alternatives (in Sweden):
- Vegan pesto from Garant
- Barista oat milk from Valio/Oddly Good
- Soygurt from Planti
- Any cheese from Violife
The taifun tofus are really the best I have ever had!
Awww. Love this but I always have to cross the border into the United States to buy these types of products. My country may carry them but so expensive.
I was really happy when I realized those shops are from Europe since the most of vegan UA-camrs are from USA
I personally am not a vegan but my skin reacts to milk and stuff like that plus I want to eat 80% plant based so this really helps
Thank you
Love the bedda zum schmelzen, king cuisine hummus, rapunzel erdnussmuß and I love getting my tempeh from the asian store cause it's sooo much cheaper.
For nutritional yeast can highly recommend Marigold brand. They sell it in Veganz, is cheaper than the alnatura one and is super savoury. Its the best one I've found!!
the nu cacao ones are insanely good :)
My favorite chocolate spread: Bionella (Bio Nutella)
this was great! I live in the states but next time I grocery shop I'm going to take extra time to look for vegan alternatives.
you eat so healthy! love your videos😊💕
Hi Mina! A little tip I learned last year: if you can, keep carrots inside a plastic bag (i know, plastic, but it's worth it) inside the fridge and they are going to last you forever and not get soggy or anything.
Love this and all your videos. Keep doing what you love! Xoxo.
Hi I recently subscribed! I love your videos they make me feel so warm haha I was wondering if you have a video on the vitamins that you take daily? Or if you could do a video on vitamins? I'v been a veggie for about 4 years now but I'm trying to get into more vegan food and you of course have given me a lot of ideas :)
Oh I love this tyype of videos! Can't wait for the borders to open again and I can go food shopping in Germany (best part of living in a French border town hahah)
I love the vanilla pudding von alpro
Great video as always!
For people in the US try the Kite Hill Ravioli its SO GOOD a little pricey but worth the treat!
Ehrmann Veo Pudding. Kind of a cheat food but it’s so great p🤍🤎
So so gut!
Here in America we have a pretty new product that is some sort of witchery when it comes to how they make it out of just one ingredient. It's called Pumfu. It's tofu made out of pumpkin seeds, and it's amazing!
That was so helpful thank you so much
These looks amazing
Idk if you can find vegan sour cream but if you can then I highly recommend getting an avocado and to spoons of sour cream. It comes out soo creamy and fluffy it’s amazing
personally i love the alnatura unsweeted soy milk with calcium for that protein and sweet sweet nutrients since it is fortified. It's also only 95cts AFAIK.
Love the Kräuter spread from Lidl, it's more flavorful than the one from DM.
The frozen nuggets from Lidl's Like Meat brand are great because they taste like any other vegan nuggets but you get more for your money. 13 nuggets and two sweet chilli sauces for under 2€.
Oat milk is my favorite plant based milk. It’s probably the closest to actual milk tasting. My cousin actually thinks similarly. It tastes quite good and comes in different flavors just like any other milk!
Also if you have a Trader Joe’s near you, Cocoa Almond Spread, honestly awesome.
Hey Mina!! Please show your tempeh recipes! I love tempeh soooo much!!!
I reeeally like the pea milk by vly - the nutritions are really good and its so tasty. I also really like the Vio Life Greek Cheese and Bedda Bockshornklee Cheese. For savoury snack cravings I can really recommend Heirler Landjäger!
When you live in a small town in Italy and you've never seen any of these products in your supermarket :')
I was really suprised by some small town stores in italy when i was there a few years back, the valsoia (? i think) products were everywhere and they had vegan ricotta at one store which i never managed to find again in germany
@@MintoBastet valsoia has been around for EONS! My very non vegan mother used to buy their ice cream and cooking cream sub regularly. Their reputation was as health foods/dairy free alternatives more than vegan/plant based, as that wasn't a "thing" yet!
@@ludovicapiccinini7936 thats really cool :D
you need to try the "Curry Mango Papaya" spread at dm or Alnatura. it's my absolute favorite kind of the vegan spreads 😍
I don't live in Germany but it's still very nice to see what someone buys to get inspiration! :) btw if you put the carrots in a little water bath overnight, they should be fine again in the morning
i‘m always here for vegan stuff 🤌🏻✨
Hey Mina, if you're having trouble finding almond butter (it does sell out fast!) I'd recommend trying the package-free ones from Original Unverpackt or Erbsenzählerei :) They're also pretty affordable
You should try the Manilife dark roast! It's insane!
Also I loooove the Tofu from Alnatura and Kaufland! I like the consistency!
And best savory spread is the tomato basil one from Kaufland
