Thanks for watching!! For us it depends on the motor. This motor crank sits in oil. So you don’t have a dry crank to begin with.

The thin bolts you put the anti cease on if one is broken could you run the machine still

Hi and thanks for watching. I can’t tell you to run it without the bolt because it’s suppose to be in the machine but I have ran one before with one missing. It didn’t hurt anything. Them bolts are mainly to seal the gasket around the timing chain. If it starts seaping oil around there then I would get the broken bolt out and replace. Hope this helps and be sure to like and subscribe to our channel.

When torquing the head bolts (silver) it says after torquing turn 180 then turn 180 again. Is that a mistake? You said turn 180 once, you've obviously done this a time or three, do I do it once or twice? 2019 570 sportsman. Thanks a million for any advice.

Hi, we only do the 180 degree once after torquing once on 15 and 30 pounds.

@@crankitt825mine is a 2019 570 sportsman and it has the SILVER, slightly smaller diameter head bolts. Have you ever used the silver head bolts with only the 180* one time? The specs I'm seeing online, Polaris has two different torque specs, one for black head bolts, which is what you've said and another chart for the silver head bolts, which seems WAY too much, im afraid im going to snap a bolt in the threaded hole. Can you help with info on the silver head bolts? I did the torque like you said today, im afraid to go farther and do another 180* (like the online chart from Polaris says) and I also afraid not to do what the chart says. I'll send you $10 tonight if you'd like for the info on the silver head bolt torque specs. Thanks for and info!

They do have different torque specs between the black and silver head bolts. I can’t tell you not to go by the shop manual however I was like you. I was afraid it was to much and the bolts would break. The last three rebuilds I done I just torque them to the instructions on the black bolts 1-15 lbs 2-30 lbs then 180 degrees. All three units are doing fine with no issues.
Hope this helps you out and thanks for supporting us.
