This is my 3rd season running lithiums. Last weekend was the first time ive ever ran them fully out. With that being said i originally bought 2 100 ah amped batteries to run my 80 lb 24v terrova. I brought a larger boat that had a 112 ultera. Through my research i went with a weise lithium from Amazon as it had a bms. The BMS is what I look for in a life po4 lithium because there are some that are not equipped with that. I have not had any issues in cold weather with the batteries not working. Now im not talking extreme cold but 32 and above its the charging where the bms really matters because if you go to plug in your on board charger and temps are too low the bms puts the battery into a sleep mode where its not charging. Which just serves to keep you as the owner from inadvertently damaging the battery while your charging it. I also run noco onboard charger and i love it. They are sleek low profile and well built. Keep fighting the good fight dustin pfds always and shoot straight brother.
I just ordered 3 lithium batteries for my rig can't wait to try them out....

I guess my biggest 2 concerns with lithium is 1. the management systems shorting out like a control board then your night is just over and possibly the next week(s). Not really sure cheap or expensive makes a difference since like you said they all come from china. But from a guide standpoint have you or anyone tried exploring or using the warranty on the cheap batteries. My guess is your paying for customer service when you buy the fancy stickers.
2. My only other major worries would be thermal runaway. I have not personally seen any Marine lithiums doing this yet but from the fire department world we are seeing a huge increase in call volume from cars to toys all caused by lithium thermal runaway. I feel like that is because more are on the market now vs ever before but do the cheap Chinese play a roll in this or is that just the nature of lithium. Burning my boat and shop down would definitely be bad for business lol.
