Midrange: vocals are what these do best; generally play a bandwidth between 400Hz and up
Midbass: plays vocals + bass at the same time; frequencies around 80Hz-6,000 depending on brand and model.
Woofer: plays bass, but frequency response rolls off sooner than a midbass driver. range of roughly 50Hz-4,000
Pro Audio mids: trade frequency response for efficiency. Generally don't play as low as a hifi type midbass driver. Def Bonce makes a 6.5" that claims 100Hz-14KHz, which is astounding! I've not measured to test, but I've heard 'em and it sounds accurate.
BOTTOM LINE: there is no free lunch! there's always a trade-off

Would love to see a review on one of my top 6.5 door speakers, specifically I had Skar FSX 6.5s and those were great, was gonna go Deaf Bonce but for my needs I wanted a DVC 4 ohm door speakers, sure enough I found one. But no in depth review. Make and model is Cadence Audio XM644VI Single Speaker DVC 4 ohm. The only speaker that can do it for under $300 that I've found, unless you have another recommendation. Though they are 75RMS vs my previous FSXs at 150RMS. My goal was to keep factory locations but 2 or 8 ohm wiring options, obviously im at 2 ohm. Most doors your stuck with 4 ohm and need more speakers to change the final ohm load.

Could make a video on custom braces for oversized door speakers. I always do. Usually 2 wood braces would clear most 6.5s out of range of the window rolling down👍 I use scrap wood and it works as long as you coat the wood to protect it from rain and humidity.
