I’ve had an Airsense 10 for almost 6 years. It has almost 18,000 hours on it and it still works perfectly. I recently purchased a new Airsense 10 and will keep the old one as a backup.
airsense 11 and airmini motors are the same. They are the same size and weight with the same connections. The only thing different is the length of the ribbon cable that connects into the PCB but the apart from that the blowers are identical (and you would expect this from ResMed to streamline supply chain/manufacturing). I've taken them both apart and i've even connected an airmini blower to the airsense 11 and it works (just can't close the chassis). Cheers
I went from the 11 to the 10 as my 11 was not working correctly, although I think the med equipment company thought I was just crazy. It was always leaking from the water chamber and waking me up. I do have to say hands down, I prefer the 10 by far. The swivel hose is a game changer.
I agree the hose swivel is a must, I think they messed up not putting it on the 11 I have a 10 it’s been a great machine and I need a new on so I’ll be getting a new 10 simply because of that house swivel
Hmm, I don't want another app to be honest. After 7 years with Airsense 10 and a recently expired motor life warning I think I'll stick with another Airsense 10 replacement. Great review. Thank you
I'm staying with the 10 due to the swivel hose connection and the power supply connection. I have purchased the Resmed DC auxiliary power supply for my 10 for RV use and power outages where I can run it off a 12 volt battery. Too bad they changed the connection port design for the power supply on the 11. Plus I have also purchased a number of air filters for my 10 and the 11 uses a different style of those too.
The airsense 11 stops working if it experiences any slight drop or bump or water getting into the main electronics case. This has happened twice to me with new machines.
ResMed literature recommends the silicon cushions for the face masks be replaced twice per month. Medicare and Blue Cross will cover 1 replacement cushion per month. I am bringing my insurer Partnership before a CA state hearing because they only cover ONE cushion replacement PER YEAR.
I feel losing the swivel off the back for the hose is a downgrade. Mainly because I have my unit up against the wall and whilst the newer design is smaller overall the hose would make it sit further from the wall
Don't need an SD card, trust their cloud service??? I bet all those people with deprecated smart thermostats, doorbells, cameras thought their service would last forever to. Airsense 10, SD card, download oscar software, and have access to your data forever.
I’m not sure about the scrolling menu on the device, lack of flexibility is already a problem on the phone and those menu items are quite small. Are ALL the options available on the phone? Cause I have a bigger phone. Also no SD Card, bit hard for remote locations. I’m 3 hours from a metro area. And when I drive to visit the clinic they read the card.
Air sense 10 is definitely superior except for the updating software feature. The swivel tube system is better for those where space is limited. Whoever in their right mind would ever send data to the cloud where you have no control over where it is (you don't even know where it is) or who has access to it? The motor technology is not proven, my Airsense 10 is close on 10,000 hours and has had no issues, so the new system doesn't attract me at all. The worst part of the Airsense 11 is the price! Far too expensive!
Just got my 11 today, haven't even slept with it yet. I'm a long-time CPAP user, my 10 was pretty faithful but had a few problems. I will keep it in the closet for an emergency back-up.
Is it same software 10 uses ? I have that for 10 really doesn't tell me much just number for the day 0 - 100. The new power plug is going to be a problem for my power bank which bought special DC cable that had cigarette plug to connect so consumes less power not drain power bank. What to do with 11 since will not fit
My old resmed 10 would draw with heating tube/tank on close to 40 watts and heating off over 20 watts. Resmed 11 drew with heating tube/tank over 20 watts and heating off over 5 watts. I used my allpower battery bank with DC cigarette power cord and after over 10 hours with heat off it had 55% power left looks like resmed 11 is more power efficient than 10.
Airsense 11 tubing is heavier, intermediate connection to mask is bulky and heavy. Lack of swivel connection is a cheaper solution. Cusotmer support is awful. Got an email telling me to call support, called support, recording tells you to send an email. You cant reach a person.
My Airsense 10 is near 20 years old and I just got the dreaded motor notice. I have two ResMed 12 volt converters for the Air Sense 10 and want to be able to use them. Will the same converters work with Airsense 11? Will the Airsense 10 machines continue to have repairs and parts available or will they likely discontinued "orphans " in a few years?
I'm interested in the ResMed AirSense 10 (SD-Card), but curious as to exactly how is it that these machines improve your sleep. And is there any downside to long term use? As an example when a man takes exogenous testosterone, the body will completely stop producing its own. Is there anything similar in the CPAP world?
I put 22000 hours on my AS10... then put a new blower motor into it, cleaned it up, and plan on another 22000 hours. I even replaced the clock battery. Not having much luck replacing the modem... but I use SD card and Oscar anyway. BTW, I bought a brand-new AS10 C2C machine for 399USD to use as a backup... that AS11 is more than twice that. And I might end up going bipap anyway.
Updating software- As I've said other places- what has that got to do with the price of eggs in China! Just what are you updating for crying out loud. It's not as though sleep apnea is a brand new "illness". When I took my "sleep" test I told them I could not sleep on my back And what did they do, had me "sleep" on my back. I watched the clock on the wall all night and then they wondered why I supposedly had 57 "events" per hour. I haven't found a mask yet that doesn't dry out my nostrils and throat. And someone would wonder why I wouldn't try a new machine. The only reason I wear the mask is because I snore too loud for my wife!
The sleep study is to find your problems. After you complete the study don't sleep on your back! Do you have your water tank filled? Do you use heated hose? Set the hose heat to all the way up, set the humidity to Manual and all the way up. If you have mask or mouth leaks you'll run out of water during the night.
Yeah I'm not impressed in the slightest. It takes up more space. ResMed have the ability to do software update pushes to the device, which anybody with half a braincell will know how well Apple and Microsoft do with that crap. We've already seen software updates bork the machine. This is a freaking dumb AF idea. Should have made a firmware/software download update via SD card feature instead. I get to pay $500+ more for it to ask me a basic questionnaire on how I 'think' my therapy is going? Well tickle me pink, who needs detailed machine data reports when I can solve my therapy issues with a multiple choice questionnaire! This stinks of the Apple model of adding useless features then marketing them as somehow amazing value. I'm incredibly underwhelmed by the new units' features. Losing the swivel is stupid and my experience with small touchscreens is that they're crap and hard to get to accurately scroll. The value here is to keep your Airsense 10 and wait to see if the 12 adds anything meaningful. Great video explaining the differences but the unit itself is a bit of a disappointment.

I'm glad I ran across your comment!,I was debating on whether to go with the 11 or 10,ill go with the 10!
Motors are 100$ on Amazon or AliExpress.

I have both; prefer 10.

I got air sense 11 after using 10 for 13 years. There is a problem with air sense 11 water chamber. I am VERY dissatisfied with the 11.
The 11 has the travel pump which is smaller/noisier,spins faster for output and may not last as long as the 10 pump. Check out some other videos
I well stay with Airsense 10

Oh damn, wouldn’t the non swivel hose be a downgrade? Mines always swivelling 😂

Same I’ll be replacing my 10 with another 10 simply because of the swivel

Yeah I’ve had my air sense 10 over 8 years I love it.
Hey thank you for sharing your experience! Much needed! Im looking for one and was looking to buy airsense 11 but now i decided to get airsense 10
thanks i needed that
No swivel is a deal breaker for me

how about backup electricity options for power outage and travelling/camping?
Just got my 11 today, haven't even slept with it yet. I'm a long-time CPAP user, my 10 was pretty faithful but had a few problems. I will keep it in the closet for an emergency back-up.
Have you been pleased with the 11?
I think it was a huge mistake not putting the hose swivel on the new 11😮
You didn’t cover which machine handles central apnea better. Please respond thanks Tom T
The AS 11 is a DOWNGRADE from the AS 10.
So……
That’s a big no from me on the air sense 11.
It’s a smoke and mirrors ‘upgrade’.
I’ll stay with the air sense 10.
Thank u, ill be looking to buy airsense 10, thanks for ur comment

First release of Airsense 10 was 2014.

no, those are hormones and this has to deal more with anatomy and physical breathing so it is completely safe in the long term
For something I’ve had all my life don’t think much of either one and why I use one is for compliance only just another thing to make money
Sexy new design, she’s like an angel 😂
Don't need no bells and whistles!!!
You have to upgrade every 5 yrs.😅mite as well get the new

Do yourself a favor. Get a teleprompter. Looking to the sides doesn’t look good
