After 15 Years Of Fishing I FINALLY CAUGHT ONE!!! (Sketchy)

- Now that the people without homes camp is gone, maybe now I should try night fishing this spot? Seems a little less.. Hmm.. Sketchy now. We'll save that for another time. I woke up at the butt crack of 8:30 and did my typical crawl under a bridge to catch some finned freak shows. This in the past has been one of the best flathead spots, but instead of a flathead.. I caught a sketchy lil' creature that wanted to come home with me.

Garter snakes eat worms it probably went to your bag because it smelled crawlers.
Hadir pendatang baru kawan mantap sukses slalu buat kita semua amin ❤❤❤
I thought it was click bait and it was...
Just food for thought. I've been living in my car since August. I'm 53, worked my entire life and my kidneys failed. I went from $4000/month to almost nothing. It took all but a year to get Social Security to approve my claim and still can't afford rent. Been lucky enough to keep my car. Not everyone has a choice of being in a bad situation. And you didn't say anything wrong there are some very aggressive territorial homeless people but some are just waiting for the red tape to clear so they can get help. Again not criticizing you just putting it out there to make people aware these people aren't all lazy and don't want to work. Be kind to all your neighbors. That being said you and Spencer's videos get me thru the week. Thank you.
I think all he was saying was 95% of bums are lousy people there is 5% that are cool
@@JamesBronson-hy3rb that's not been my experience over the last year. Most of who I've met are just waiting for a chance to start over. There are plenty with mental health and dependency problems that don't want to work. But many are disabled and can't work. Where I live there's a 3 to 5 year waiting list for 1br apartments thru the housing authority and no funding for the shelters. Local shelters are all supported by donations. I worked hard my whole life. Warehouse lift driver and all the sudden I couldn't work anymore. That leaves thousands of people with nowhere to go. And all I'm saying is be aware they aren't all bad. Just in bad situations.
🙄🙄 Quit crying on the internet and do something about it.
Man, I'm sorry to hear that. In my mind, nothing about people is absolute. Every situation is different, I chose not to judge, and honestly the guy I met down there was nice. Occasionally he had parties, and it always resulted in an uncomfortable situation.
Anyway man, I'm rooting for you, I wish you all the best, and I'll speak for Spencer and I, that we appreciate you watching our videos.
@@PigPatrolTV and I'm not looking for sympathy. I'm doing everything I need to in order to get to where I need to be. Just asking anyone who can see this if you come across someone and you have a pocket full of change or a sandwich a bottle of water it can make all the difference in the world for that person. And of course there are those that will do the wrong thing with what you give but that's on them. And your videos really do mean a lot. Better than any TV show on. I learn stuff about fishing, you make me laugh and it makes the days easier. You do way more for some than just post fishing videos. BTW you should hire Jordan to be you fishing caddy.🤣
2024 and the Stash Stoners are still here watching...Love the videos
Blaze up 420 my dude 🔥
As I watch this 💨 thanks for always keeping me motivated to put in the work
Stach stoners unite!!! We should all make a Midwestern meet up and fish and blaze!!!!
If one doesn't feed one's head, ones head stays hungry and well Flaheads rule and Black Sabbath stuff what are we talking about?????
Always blazing and watching
Bro I felt the part, against the current, under a bridge, n the shade is what’s life is about. That’s Alabama in me all day everyday
My son and i fished that spot a year ago and felt very uncomfortable with camps set up on both sides. Neat spot. Sketchy vibes.
Where is it? Kinda wanna go with my dad hopefully the camps aren't there
The drum is your spirit fish lol
A burden only I can bare.
If it doesn't happen in 4 hours, it'll happen in 4 hours and 5 minutes
Fax
Absolutely
Thanks for the video Josh ! I especially enjoyed the part when you were "fat shaming" the drum fish. 😂
Fun = Catching Fish!!!! Catching Fish = Fun!!!!
Woohoo. Catchem man!
Love you stache man!❤️👊💪🎣
Good move with the log. Had a pole taken in today. Was taking a gill off the hook for my boy and heard a splash. 😢
Love the video’s keep them coming!
Love it Josh!
😂😂 growing up when my cousin and I would leave our river poles unsupervised we would wrap the stringer around it and into the dirt 😂😂 never lost a rod
Tying them to a bush or some shit with some of that free fishing line laying around on the bank works too 😁
"2 split shots have changed my entire day" story of my life brutha.
You too?!
I love drum buds. I've caught some monster double digits here during spring. Always a couple moments where I wondered if I hooked a record walleye.
I haven’t watched much UA-cam lately but I just wanna say thank you. U were the guy who got me to go fishing even if I didn’t know what I was doing being an okie now living in Alaska. it prevented me from doing what I really love, fish. So keep it up brotha. Every time I wear my pigpatrol hoodie, I catch fish.
Hell yea man, love hearing that ❤️
Good stuff 👍
Thanks again
Kind of sucks but they can go really shallow in high water. Been hitting em good myself in 3 to 4 feet of water with a jighead crawler. 10 pound floro. Most in the 3 to five pound range but three over 20 this year.... So far.😁
Thanks for another great Video
Just found this video. Most entertaining. Thanks for sharing.
I've always liked snakes too, followed a garter snake along reedy shore when around 12,13,watched it stalk, and eat a frog, cool shit
Great video ! Reminds me of my childhood ! Stay safe !
Thought I was the only one to catch snakes on purpose when I was younger 😂
Nope. Used to catch hundreds a summer. No venomous ones here in Maine. Always fun
I always had wild animals in my mom's basement lol. Garter snakes, water snakes, big ass corn snakes. Snapping turtles. Birds. Gopher pups. A baby squirrel...ANYTHING i could grab. Been bitten a lot as well. Snakes by far were my favorite. Also what my mom was most afraid of lol.
Nope, not the only one
Thanks for sharing as always pa pow
Preciate' you watching
Damn you Josh you you got me I thought you caught something cool
Nice video man. I do the same trips but focus more on fishing than really kayaking but love the content. Don’t really have a crew to join me so typically solo. Awesome video
I know you don't keep many fish, but those drum are delicious in nugget form.
Dead on gotta get the yellow belly meat and the red mudvayne meat off of em but then they're great had em side by side with walleye and I couldn't tell the difference
You gave that second trailer park musky the wood. Surprised you didn’t reel in a beek. 😂
I wasn't playing around 😂
Just watching some videos from 3 years ago when this popped up, this spot reminds me of a steelhead spot here in cali
"Come down here for variety and size.... of fish" 🐟
Lmfao you had to clarify that😂
Sometimes I just start vomiting words out of my mouth.
@@PigPatrolTV 💯 same
Trailer park muskies 😂
Fishing is Always fun 🙂
Love the video's 😍
Getting the line stretched is all good. Drum buds are good fish. Beats the brown fish you sometimes target with corn. I do that every now and then but don't film it. Always fun
I know you mention your baby whale rig and what it actually is at times but two suggestions: Put a link to your affiliated lures in the description and have 6th sense create collections or something. It took me months to finally figure out what you are using with the baby whale rig...
During high water you need to fish shallow like right next to the bank also find creek mouths that’s the best place or somewhere out of the current
Beautiful Gartersnake
Hey bro! I love the videos and I look forward to them every week! I was wondering what type of reel/line you use on the stache sticks?
The flatheads have been really good at Stockton Lake here in Missouri, tight lines my friend
A couple more Clint Shot weights makes all the difference. 💥
been watching you for a while now buddy. awesome videos! I was looking at the rods you are using. what reel is that? been looking for something to pair with it and those casters look slick 🔥
Where you been? Haven't seen any videos from you..43 lb flathead in canal behind my house.
Lmao.. the sound of a 1-2ft drop of a Drum. Those things are solid bone, they can take it. It did sound violent, like a 10ft belly flop. =P
Wish you had hooked and landed the first fish. Keep the videos coming.
I highly enjoy your videos, good and bad. I play your channel at work sometimes with an audience of two or three grease monkeys.
You said the drum didn't appreciate that 😆
I got your medium light stash stick and I love it real nice all around dangle stick
The intro commentary put me over the edge 🤣🤣
I always catch flatheads where smaller feeder creeks come into the main river right when it starts to receed and it seems to flush the bait fish into the river and they sit and wait for them. I also always try to use bait from the creek that I'm fishing at. Don't know why but it seems to make a difference. Good luck to ya.
they call Drum (Sheepshead) 'poor mans Lobster'. They taste just like lobster. You have to boil the meat. They looks like a really cool spot.
I've ate them once or twice, but never have boiled them.
drum spawn fromlate april to early june in sek east kansas problably a wkor two late in neb.
You 🐟 places that look very similar to where I 🎯 spotted bass, cool 📷......
Which reel should i put on the stash stick? Fish lakes ponds streams creek n rivers. Want spinning reel. Thanks
Hahaha those Gasper goo are mysterious buddy. I'm not really sure what to think or do when I catch one!!
😂😂😂 I just caught my first snake last November fricken awesome
No shit, this one your best
Dude I’m proud of you…
Fyi, I was at Milford yesterday. It's full and they're letting water out below the dam. I was surprised that there wasn't a rusted out ol' Cheby parked down there when I drove by after getting skunked on the lake.
That snakey boi be like 😝 next time one does that to you you should stick your tongue out back at it lmao 🤣 😅
0:37 doing the sketch pose 🤣
you and clint definity need to come to michigan and fish! we have a great variety of fish i think would love to add to the pallet.
Hearing you sniffing just killing me. I struggled with the same allergy issues and found what works for me. Take Zyrtec with AleveD sinus meds every morning every day. I’ve not been to the doctors in over 6 years because of a sinus infection. The Aleve D is behind the counter in the pharmacy and requires a drivers license to get.
Hey man that white hat is superb 👌
Bum camp I luv it
It was a pretty sick set up
Josh little bank fishing trick, cordless drill in the backpack with a 1 1/4" paddle bit allows you to drill holes in wood or ice or clay and makes the ultimate rod holder out of a log or stuff and stuff
Shooooot, I might have to try that
@PigPatrolTV works great bro we've been using it for years as I do a ton of surf fishing when I'm in Michigan and not fishing for a living
Bro I’m literally watching this vid for like 1 second and you already curse 😂
Crap.. Not again.
Stacheman at it again...
You should come up to wisconsin some time. Had a few 12+ lb drums this year going for cats. They've been hitting cut bait up here hard this year.
The place you're fishing reminds me of Des
Moines
Plush living!
I could never just lay my poll down and open bail. Especially bc I've seen that thing close on you a couple times and almost lost your rod. You got some mighty stashe balls to trust your rod lmao
Different real that closed up. That was the piscifun. I trust these a little more. I still might regret it. 😂
You're like Matty Mathesons skinny kid brother. This is a compliment because that guy is fun as hell and you see rad too!
Josh is a OG
Stache Bums Josh? Come on man you give the Bums love and I can't get one Stache Potatoes?
When water is high go to areas that are usually very shallow because the big fish and the bait fish will migrate into these spots to avoid harsher current from flooded waterways
Should have used that snake for Flathead bait!
That's what Cat's 🐈 are supposed to do 😂🤣😂
I'm surprised you read the In-Fisherman magazines lol 😂😂
Ole spawn belly drum bud
Do you know of any spillways near Gretna? I am the guy that was standing at the door at Walmart one early morning when you were getting some crawlers. Anyways I am trying to get back into fishing and want to start around the Gretna area.
I remember ya, how have you been? There really isn't too much in gretna, but every lake has a spillway!
At last an American You-Tuber who knows how to load line properly (i.e. full to the lip!) on his spinning reel!
Do I win something?! 😂
I got nothin today. Darn good to see ya, tho.
tried your baby whales and have to say I love em!! stash on man
Happy to hear that!
Just so you know, your water is probably slightly different than my big water lake Michigan here but our drum are spawning right now which is why they're bigger. they always come in to spawn when the water warms up
Fish are fish 🐠 catch them all and have a great day doing it
Bums are good bait!
new camera? Looks crispy
You forgot about them stash riders
Vroom vroom
you must have never caught a 5 ft gar. some of the best fighting 💪
Is the medium light stash stick to light of a tip tho
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣awesome video
I went fishing today at the outlet at Johnson’s lake and caught prolly 20-30 bass in a 2 hours time span. Just letting you know since you’re a fishing UA-camr.
Dude me n my cousin were bringing home 8-10lb cats and 5-10lb walleyes thanks little Sioux river almost daily 😂😂 from 8 years old til now 33
I think you're exaggerating
@@JamesBronson-hy3rb no not at all I have a walleye on the wall
I drove over that a couple times on my way to yankton from Wisconsin, and it looked juicy to me.. SD has really good fishing because there's no people. Awesome.
I’ll send you a free ball python can pick out if you’re interested , I love getting kids into reptiles & you’ve been making laugh for years! 💪🏼
"No offense to the 'bums'" LOL
Trailer park musky, very funny
It's my new favorite saying
The snake whisperer.
Ssssssss
Snakes are great bait too
