This is funny…We are at Turkey Run SP right now for an overnight stop. We were looking for a way to avoid I-80 around Chicago on our way from Colorado to Michigan and found this gem. Nice little campground. Pretty area. Wish we had more time to explore!
Love Turkey Run, I used to go kayaking there on Sugar River. Been a few years since I've been there. Funny enough, I'll be about 30 minutes north of there for memorial day weekend. Hopefully we both have great weather and a fun holiday.
I enjoy the trails in Turkey Run too. How are the campgrounds? One campground we went to several years ago had pretty small sites. Do you recommend a particular campground or site?

As much as I love Turkey Run I actually prefer Shades just 10 miles away. Same great hiking with far fewer people, especially during the week. If you want the extras like the Inn or the pool you go to Turkey Run. If you just want to hike, Shades is a great option.

Turkey Run should be elevated to a Hoosier treasure. My earliest memories were picnics, hiking, senior skip out day and on and on. Thank you for allowing us to view your journey's together ❤️. Safe travels this summer!

We are retired and have been to Turkey Run so many times. It is the best state park in Indiana. Trail 3 is the best.
