I was going to go through costco, but after watching this video I was able to book for about the same price with about $1200 worth of added features and benefits included. Me and my fiancé are taking our first trip to universal studios, we are going the first week of October and we live in Chattanooga, TN. So we love these extra tips and tricks!!!!
I went with preferred. Loved it. Will do it again next year for sure. This year change it up but still hit some informer meetups. Loved this video. Some of the reason i will follow yall for life. Thanks guys. Very helpful and awesome
My boyfriend and I have been going to Universal for 4 years and in the last two years have been going twice a year. We are from out of state and recently purchased the highest tier pass (premiere). It's a much better deal than purchasing tickets every time. We don't stay on site because there are better hotel deals elsewhere. But we always rent a car so the parking perks are a great addition. There are no blackout dates for the premiere pass which is awesome. The express pass after 4pm is also awesome! The 15% discount on food and merchandise is another really great perk. Thank you for the information, we determined the premiere pass was the best option for us.
We totally agree! We are typically able to get some good rates that make it more affordable for us to stay on sight when you calculate Ubers and all of that! The premier pass is such a great value!
Thanks for this guys. We were thinking of getting the Premier passes for the extra discount but thanks to your great advice, we don’t need parking etc either and are staying onsite, we’re now going to get a Seasonal and Preferred pass. You have been instrumental in our planning and I know it’s going to be the most amazing trip thanks to your wonderful tips and tricks! 🤩
I always recommend the power pass for locals. I live a 15 minute drive from universal so a lot of the extra benefits like express passes and lack of blockout dates don’t really matter when I can go this much. But the reason I go with power and not seasonal is cause seasonal blocks out concert dates.
Old video but good tips. We're from out of state and staying on property so this video fit us perfect. Seems like the passes have minimal benefit in our situation.
Tip...To determine the hotel rate for the annual pass member, look at the Florida resident rate online. Many times these are not loaded until 90 days before.
Once again, another great video! Your tips are always completely correct, which I totally admire! No conjecture, with facts that you obviously research. Something I'd like to add about Passes....... People shouldn't rely solely on information they get from Universal's Guest Services. They are sometimes unwittingly incorrect. Always research important questions online, or on this channel (of course!). We were misled and misguided by them regarding Pass Holder discounts on room rates. We were given incorrect advice by two different agents and learned later that they had been misinformed. Although they were extremely polite and appeared knowledgeable, we learned their misdirection cost us about $100 total. They sent an "amenities gift" to our room, which was a collection of snacks. We would have rather had the money! If this video had been available to me back then, this would never have happened.
Thank you so much! It’s so nice to hear that our videos are helpful! I’m so sorry you had that experience with Universal, their customer service has always been the best for us. It’s definitely worth it to do your homework before purchasing anything for a vacation, even some of the team members don’t know all the tricks that can save you money!
We are very happy to hear it helped! It has saved us thousands of dollars with all the discounts as well as all the money saved on tickets. Thanks for watching!
I have been binging your UA-cam. Thank you for making this easier, planning on going to HHN this year and staying at a Premier Hotel and getting the Prem Pass most likely. Staying the 2 days so we can go to both parks and not have to rush.

Hello Carl! Yes you can check the Universal Studios Orlando website. We went ahead and got a link for you. Thanks for watching! www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/tickets-packages/annual-passes/blockout-dates
I got the seasonal the only big expense is parking and food. I can get fast passes for free with a disability if it is relevant to someone in your party.
Hey Nathan! The AAP doesn’t work exactly like a fast pass, but it is an option that we are so happy Universal offers. Basically what that pass will allow you to do is to get a single return time for an attraction. All you have to do is wait whatever the posted wait time is and return and they will take you near the front of the attraction!
Thank you so much for all of your great content. My hubby & I are going for the first time this coming week and I have used your videos to help plan and pack our park bag! Quick question: do we need to upgrade to the annual pass before we check in to the hotel? We are staying at the hard rock
Awww! Thank you for watching! You do not have to do it before you check in, however if you do it afterwards, you will need to show them proof of the AP before you check out or you will be charged for a standard room rate!
My wife and I are also thinking about visiting Universal Orlando a few times next year 2022 we were thinking about going with Costco travel for the rooms and tickets and upgrading to annual the only thing is that most places have you buy two things like tickets, airfare, or car rental we go through South West airlines how and who do you go just to get your rooms. Thanks
Hi Leo! We always book our rooms straight through Universal. You can purchase your annual pass from Universal, of course, and then you get the annual passholder rate for their on-site hotels. We’ve found this to be the best way to do things. We have contacted travel agents in the past and were basically told places like Disney and Universal don’t really offer discounts through them. We just make sure we book as early as possible and check back periodically to see if the prices drop. We hope this helps! If you have any more questions we’d be happy to answer them.
Hello! Do you know when annual passes will be available for 2023? You recommended on my comment on another video that it would save me money, since I am booked for a seven night stay in June of 2023. It is driving me crazy that we can't yet find out annual pass and express pass rates for next year! :)
You can buy one now and just not activate it until next year! The way annual passes work is that your “year” in the parks doesn’t start until the first time you walk through the turnstiles. So you could buy one right now at the current rate, and then just not activate it until your trip next year!
Great video! Are you absolutely sure that only one party member needs to have early admission to get the entire group in early? Say, for example, if I have the preferred pass and my wife has the power pass. Could I get her in early? Thanks again, great video!
Thank you so much! That’s what we have heard from several reliable sources. If you want to hear it for yourself, you can always call Universal and ask one of their representatives, they’re so helpful and so nice! Also, if you’re staying on site you will both have early park admission with your room keys.
How do you upgrade your pass ? Can you do it over the phone ? Or do you have to go into the park ? I want to buy the seasonal and upgrade to the power in July .
So yeah you can just call, however you will have to go to guest services with your confirmation number outside of the parks in order to get your new card with the new benefits!
How do I find out the blackout dates for the Seasonal Pass related to Universal Studios concert days? I can't find any information and have a vacation scheduled for mid-November 2021.
The blockout dates are on Universal’s website, but you’re good for November. For the seasonal pass, it’s around Christmas, New Year, spring break, and July.
Thank you!! I would say it depends what you are looking for. Hard Rock is probably our favorite because it’s so close you can easily walk to and from the parks. If you’re wanting to save money, Royal Pacific is usually the least expensive of the three premier hotels.
This was a wonderful review!!! I'm not local, we're in PA. Do you guys know how I'd handle an AP for a child? Is it just the standard AP rates for all ages? Or should I just do gate prices for him?
Thank you! That’s a great question. I can’t find anything on their website about children, but I believe their passes are the same as adults. I know my brother in law bought one for his 11 y.o. child at full price. Your best bet would be to call their number and ask about child rates for annual passes and single day tickets. I hope this helps!
We are planing a stay in august in the Porto fino resort and we will for sure get the annual pass for at least one member of the family. Will the express pass given by the hotel still apply? Thank you for your videos. FLOODING me with info, I appreciate y’all !
We’re so glad our videos have been helpful! Yes, the express passes will work with your annual pass. Your annual pass will get you into the parks, and your room key is your express pass that they scan in the express queues. We hope you have an awesome trip in August!!
Me realizing that we get annual passes for cheaper from our military bases. My reaction, "oh damn, they just got finnessed" especially since we get the all year pass
Picked up ~$200 per person 2 park passes mid year. Wish I'd known early, incredible deal for military. No AP discounts or anything special, just cheap park access.
Do you think if the blackout dates aren’t an issue it is beneficial for one adult to have the Premier and then the two children that I’ll have with me to do seasonal passes?
That’s our current situation. Tyler has the preferred pass and I have the seasonal. We use his to get the food/merch discounts and if we ever decide to go during blockout dates, I’ll just upgrade mine!
I want to get the seasonal pass for my family and me like more 5 are coming and I wanna get the 2-Park Seasonal Annual Pass & I don’t know which one is better, (Pay Full $300 or Pay Monthly $15
If they’re still running the discount, it’s better to pay if full! If they’re not, I don’t think there’s much difference. We’ve always paid in full so we don’t have to worry about it, but I think the monthly payment is still a good option! It just depends what works better for you!
I am thinking of possible going next year and get one of the top onsite hotels , I am making this a big trip and not see myself going more than the one time, is the third tire pass worth my money? I am a traveler also
It’s hard to say! You’d really just need to look at how much money you think you’ll spend on food & merch and see if that 10% discount makes it worth it!
Do you know how much the discount is for purchasing tickets? My husband and I are hoping to visit all 3 parks over 3 days next year, and I can’t even figure out how to crunch the numbers because every site I check states “discounts” on park tickets but not what they are! Lol Basically trying to decide if I should get an annual pass (we live 1.5 hr away and I have a flexible work schedule) then buy hubby regular admission using my discounts. OR if we should just buy regular admission for both of us. We are tentatively planning to book a 2-night stay at Adventura. Thanks!! :)
Regardless of the ticket discount, which is 10-15%, the hotel discount would make it worth getting the annual pass in our opinion! Plus, if you’re driving you’ll get parking discounts with the pass, so it’s a win win!
Yes the parking is a big lure!! Haha. But I have a 2-year-old turning 3 in January when I would purchase the pass. So struggling to determine how much I would be able to use it and how sad it is to either leave him behind or not ride the awesome rides! 😂 we have done seaworld together this year and he loves it! But they have barely any rides so it didn’t matter. Hmm...you said 30% discount on hotels-would that apply even to the cheaper Seasonal pass? And would your merchandise/food discount work at volcano bay if you only got the 2-park pass and then a day admission to Vb?
Oh yeah! Also I read another follower suggesting hotel discounts were equal to Florida resident pricing. Does that mean as FL residents we already have the discounts?? That seems crazy lol
@@alondramceldowney8640 we’re not 100% sure about the Florida resident discounts! We don’t look at them because we can’t get them lol. You could check on the website and compare UOAP discounts to them and see the difference. If that’s the case, it would probably be about the same for you to get either the AP or multi day tickets. Just up to you what you’d rather do!
WOW are you ever quick to reply! Hope your channel GROWS and grows! I appreciate all the to-the-point info! Thanks so much for the pointers, you’ve been super helpful! Time to number crunch! 😁 God bless you both and your doggies!
Alexanderfuentes can you give us some more info? Are you locals to Orlando, have you been before, how often would you like to visit, etc? This will help us to give you advice on purchasing tickets for the park!
Alexanderfuentes an annual pass definitely makes sense then. I would suggest you look at the blockout dates for 2021 for the lower tier passes, and see if you can work around those. If you’re between the top two, look at the extra benefits the premier comes with to consider if they’re worth the extra price.
I don’t think they need the premiere if a got my self the premier i get all the discount and they are to little to go to Halloween also and madigras to ? So i am think the prefer ?
If you buy a annual pass does that get you in through the gate with just the annual pass or do you have to pay more money to get in every time you go last year on Halloween horror nights I bought express pass tickets on accident it didn’t explain what it did it was more money so I thought we would get in the express line then when we showed up I had to exchange the tickets because they weren’t the right ones there were just for the faster line so I had to pay more money just to get in if I buy the $509 annual pass will I be able to go and get in the gate with that or will I have to pay more every time
The annual pass does get you in the gate, you will not have to pay any more money to get into the parks. If you buy the premier pass, you will get ONE express pass per ride, after 4:00 PM. None of the other passes come with any form of express. I hope this helps!
I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think they’ll mail it. It is my understanding that you can either pick them up outside either park or you can get them at the ticketing desk at any of the on-site hotels. I hope this helps!
I'm planning on buying an annual pass for myself and taking my sister. From what I read on the web site the annual pass is only for 1 (me). However my sister would not have admission to the park without a ticket? I'm just confused on if my annual pass does not include more than one member.
@@ThePughTwo thank you for replying I also have another question so I just bought my season pass today but when I got my email I noticed I accidentally bought a child season pass do you think they can update that to an adult pass or can I get that fixed or am I screwed?

Thank you! That’s a great question. I can’t find anything on their website about children, but I believe their passes are the same as adults. I know my brother in law bought one for his 11 y.o. child at full price. Your best bet would be to call their number and ask about child rates for annual passes and single day tickets. I hope this helps!
can you pay the monthly before the down payment first?
We’ve heard the military discounts are great! We hope you take advantage of those awesome deals!
Picked up ~$200 per person 2 park passes mid year. Wish I'd known early, incredible deal for military. No AP discounts or anything special, just cheap park access.
This was great, thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Do you think if the blackout dates aren’t an issue it is beneficial for one adult to have the Premier and then the two children that I’ll have with me to do seasonal passes?
This is EXACTLY one of the things we suggest and when we renewed this year; we used this strategy ourselves! Great suggestion!
Wow the prices have gone up since!
Isn't it crazy how just a little over a year changes everything!
Yup. Inflation and wage increases gets passed on to the consumer.
About the Lounge. If one person in our party has an annual pass, will they let the others in our party in? Like our kids.
We’re not completely sure! I don’t think they would let other adults in, but they might make an exception for kids!
Hello do you know if the preferred pass gives access for two people?
Each pass only give one person access to the parks!
your lighting is making me think that werewolf Lupin is around or even that animagus Black is around. either way cool vid. informative
We wish Lupin was around. He’d have chocolate and could teach us the patronus charm!
@@ThePughTwo yea was listening to the third audiobook to work today. been thinking about it all day

So I'm going to get the preferred pass. Do you think it would be best to just get my 10 year old daughter the season pass?
That’s our current situation. Tyler has the preferred pass and I have the seasonal. We use his to get the food/merch discounts and if we ever decide to go during blockout dates, I’ll just upgrade mine!
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
@@ThePughTwo Ok thank you☺️
@@qilos6830 you’re so welcome!
@@ThePughTwo thanks,
@@christophersutherland1029 we’re happy to help!
When you stay on property, is it one unlimited express pass per room or PP and is it valid for just one day or the duration of your stay at the hotel?
It is valid for your entire duration and it is per person.
@@ThePughTwo 👍
Do you know how much the discount is for purchasing tickets? My husband and I are hoping to visit all 3 parks over 3 days next year, and I can’t even figure out how to crunch the numbers because every site I check states “discounts” on park tickets but not what they are! Lol
Basically trying to decide if I should get an annual pass (we live 1.5 hr away and I have a flexible work schedule) then buy hubby regular admission using my discounts.
A have a question a should a premiere for me. And what do u recommend for my wife and 2 kids?
Alexanderfuentes can you give us some more info? Are you locals to Orlando, have you been before, how often would you like to visit, etc? This will help us to give you advice on purchasing tickets for the park!
Yea. True lol i live in miami and want to go a few times
Alexanderfuentes HHN is pretty intense. If that’s the case, you just need to see when the blockout dates are and decide if that’s a deal breaker.
Do they have deals on the annual passes
No, the price you see is the best price you will find on them!
@@ThePughTwo thank you for what you do
How many annual passes would I need for 8 people for 2 weeks? It'll be our very first time going.

Thank you for the response will be going back soon then
If I buy the annual pass online, can they mail it???
I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think they’ll mail it. It is my understanding that you can either pick them up outside either park or you can get them at the ticketing desk at any of the on-site hotels. I hope this helps!
I can't figure out how much does it cost to buy a season pass
For out of staters the current price is $350!
@@ThePughTwo $400 for lowest tier now. They're pulling a "disney" and it's getting out of control lol.
@@adntigger71015 prices go up, unfortunately! The tickets went up too, though, so still a better deal than 4-day tickets lol.
Is the boat taxi free?
It is! They do make you show your room card for the hotel you are going to, though, and won't let you board without it.
Ok thanks
Glad I watched this.
We’re so glad this video was helpful, we love hearing this!
I'm planning on buying an annual pass for myself and taking my sister. From what I read on the web site the annual pass is only for 1 (me). However my sister would not have admission to the park without a ticket?
I'm just confused on if my annual pass does not include more than one member.
Each person has to have their own individual annual pass!
Watching this video basically one year later lol which means.... prices are higher :( $349 is the cheapest now and $625 the highest )
Unfortunately the prices did go up this year, but we’re sure that’s reflected in the single and multi-day tickets as well! Lol
@@ThePughTwo u r prob right lol
I have a question if I get the preferred pass for 2 parks, are you able to get on the Hogwarts for free or how does that work ?
Absolutely! All the 2 park passes allow you access to the hogwarts express (the train) for free! Thanks for watching hope this helped!
@@ThePughTwo thank you for replying I also have another question so I just bought my season pass today but when I got my email I noticed I accidentally bought a child season pass do you think they can update that to an adult pass or can I get that fixed or am I screwed?
