I'm loving the sharp lines, I hate to think how much dust is in your garage now.
A lot, too much, for even a vacuum to cope
@@forthebold I think I spotted a K100 in the background ;-)
@@Eight20 Keeps on appearing, like a stray dog
Ya know I usually don’t love modern cafe racers like this but this is gone be an absolute monster
I know what you mean, there's a fine line from when they turn into a street fighter / superbike style. Glad you like it.
Looking really good
Thank you!
@@forthebold little tip for next time, use house plaster like poly filler as it's cheaper, easier to sand and as it's not on the car/bike it doesn't have to be so hard or tough. I've made plenty of plugs for tools and it works great as long as you spray filler primer over your final shape
I like orange :)
Me too :)
Great job, just one criticism.. the thumbnail does rather give it away.
Hopefully the development of it is worth it.
Your sanding time lapses are always so satisfying!
Glad you think so!
Ah coffee time and an FTB video, life is good. Love you dedication and it shows that you don't need loads of tools and space to create great bikes. One tip don't pour lay-up resin in to a pool as it may overheat as it is designed to be spread thinly.
Excellent glad the videos make your Friday morning. Ha, I had an F** it moment and decided to pour the whole lot in :)
Ducati designers and engineers are definitely gonna be proud.
Hopefully
@@forthebold i bet they are.
At first I was thinking... oh man, he has bit off a lot to chew... but this is turning out fantastic. It that is going to become Carbon Fiber that is going to look so rad! Fun series to watch, thank you for providing content in these times. Really looking forward to seeing the mongrel come together as well!
Thanks. To be honest I didn’t have this exact shape in mind when I started out. It was going to be a little more curvier. But glad it has taken this way.
You sir, are indeed a superb bike builder! I get inspired to work on my own bike (K100) after watching your videos. Keep up the good work 💪👏
Amazing, it's what it's all about. To help inspire.
I’m catching up on the Ducati build. The light and fairings are coming along very nicely. I like the killer looks of that beauty. Very impressed and can’t wait to see more.
Thank you, once the frame is back from the powder coaters next week it's seriously going to change the look.
Hi, the bike is starting take shape and the amount of work you put in is immense, I do have one concern and that is the sharp V about half way up the side of the fairing, its a thin section and a sharp V will be a stress concentration, I would hate to see all that work spoiled by the finish fairing cracking after a short time in use. It may be that there is enough meat on the bone so to speak hard to tell from the video just looks a bit slender from back here. Hope I'm wrong and I'm sure you've got it under control. Can't wait to see the finished item. Cheers
When it’s carbon fibre it’s going to be Kevlar backer also so no worries about stresses.
Ant. As I told you in fla,I’m to old to be a cafe racer guy but the stuff you do is incredible. You start with pieces that look like shit and end up with quality looking parts that look oem or better. You have a hell of an eye. Keep it up.
Thanks Ed, means a lot to hear that. I hope you're keeping well
Is that a crap ton of bondo that you covered it with. Sorry first time viewer but am currently creating panels and researching
It is. Just to smooth it out ready for the next mould before carbon fibre. More videos since this one
WOW looking forward to vfr-cbr build just call it the VBR build
Will be a fun one
I love all your content but this build is a step above. I cannot wait to see more. Well done, brother.
Much appreciated!
As with everything you do, amazing and inspiring. But I’m quietly keen for what looks like a BMW in the back, there!
There is a video on my channel to what I’d do to it.
For The Bold I know! Seen it a few times!
Can't wait to see that orange frame cutting through your fairings. I genuinely didn't think I would like this bike looking at the thumbs (each to their own but the videos are still great either way which is why I am still watching it) but your eye for design always continues to amaze me. Keep it up.
Thanks, it's one of those ones that's really hard to explain as it's constantly changing in my mind as I'm creating it, so I could never nail down a photoshop concept. But now is the exciting part.
@@forthebold Totally, but now it is coming together I think the negative space of the frame slicing through the fairing will look seriously cool. IT's not an easy one to do as a photoshop job either way!
Does it clear the front tyre when the forks are fully compressed?
Sure does
I know you might have a paint scheme in your head but i think a neon green on frame and clear coat carbon fiber it'll looks mean and monster truly 😈
It would look nice but I’m set on my colours
@@forthebold i know and your color scheme is 🤩🤩 but please atleast try to keep maximum carbon visible
That is looking really good
Thanks
How much dust did you get in your coffee?
Enough to get that consistency of chocolate spread
Fantastic progress! It's amazing how you've transformed that wobbly, lumpy, foam prototype into the crisp, sharp, fibreglass lower fairing in the video. Liked the use of your old number plate as a palette for the body filler too!
By the way, how did we cope before power sanders?!
The bike's looking good already with the fibreglass - can't wait to see it all in carbon.
Thanks. The progression is lengthy for sure and very complex but to get it from that foam to this is worth it.
Greetings from Florida
Quality workmanship, looks great 👍
Always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing
Stay safe, ride safe
Thanks, you too!
That lower fairing has me scared..... this is an air cooled bike, yes?
Yeah it is. With a massive air vent at the front too. Why scared? In fact it’s the same engine as the super sport 600 which also has an even bigger fairing going around the engine.
@@forthebold No disrespect intended, I figured that you had thought that part through. It was just timely because I had just returned from a 3 hr ride in 34 degree heat on my 796 and the boys were a bit toasty, if you know what I mean.
Luckily we never get up to that temperature here. Ha. No offence taken at all. A valid question.
Loving it so far 👍🏼 it’s almost too hard to watch because the disastrous mess that is covering everything but being limited on space has its downside. Keep up the great work , you have encouraged my build many times! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yes more room and a dedicated area for mess would be nice. But a quick blow from the air gun sorts it all out.
Will you sell your custom vehicles ?
No i don't sell them
This is gonna be bad@$s cafe monster 😅😅😅
It's the plan, I hope when it's carbon fibre that'll bring it out.
@@forthebold 🤙🤙🤙
Can’t wait for the carbon fibre
Me too
Ok, ruler with the dremmel! Clever
Only as a guide, never touching, I just find it easier to follow than a drawn line, and I guess it limits slipping over the line.
What should be the size of Rear seat hoop loop for 248mm seat??
Should I go with 230/210mm Of rear seat Hoop loop?
You need to match the frame width EXACTLY. no point putting something that’s a different size to your frame.
@@forthebold how will I match it..Any suggestion video
What material do you use?
Automobile modelling clay
Superb! Totally transformed the whole vibe of that bike, hardly recognisible - and in a good way!
Thanks so much.
It's coming on, looking forward to the frame paint. The warrior could do with a dust sheet!
A ride at the end of the month hen it goes back to its owner will clean it all off :)
Great work!!
Thank you
great job
Thanks
Looking good
Thank you! Cheers!
Your videos are one of the few things I look forward to every week!
Wow, thank you!
Looking good mate, finally starting to take shape
Finally, Looks even better with the seat foam in place. It's on Instagram if you haven't seen it.
For The Bold I’ll check it out
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
