  • This genuine Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello side cases are very good-looking. The mounting is easy and inside goes an open face helmet or a smaller size full-face one. The capacity of the cases is 30 and 29 L. Check the video to see how easy it is to open, mount and remove them. Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello genuine side cases: a closer look.

      Yes, the only problem could be removing them, if you leave it for some time on untouched. Otherwise elegant and cool looking ones. In most cases one is a bit smaller. Are are right. Thanks Derek.

    Pannier can’t fall off as the rear seat wouldn’t engage closed. It has two plastic stuts that engage in holes to stop the panniers being stolen and sliding rearwards

    Oblikovno so mi všeč. Klipsne za odpirat pa ne. Pa notranja elastika ima tudi dobro zapenjanje. Vprašanje pa je, kako bo to vpetje čez par let držalo kovček. Kdo jih dela za njih, Givi?

    I wish the video had shown the installation of the side cases. You must make sure the cases are slid forward all the way or they can detach while riding! This was reported by a member of the Moto Guzzi Tech forum. He had one side case fall off while riding and now must buy a whole new set of cases as they are not sold individually. And Guzzi does not provide any instructions with the cases, and does not mention them in the owner's manual. A bad oversight in my opinion.

    • @RRRRefuelRideRace
      @RRRRefuelRideRace  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the comment. There are just 2 holes that I mention in the video. You should just be careful and pay attention that both cases are properly in both holes. I didnt know that this could be such a problem. The video of this bike is ready for tommorow. Thanks for tuning in mate.

    • @markellott5620
      @markellott5620 Рік тому +2

      I was going to mention this. It took me ages to figure out that there is a backwards slide to get them out and forwards to get them in. I found out from the same forum you mention. If you look down into the slot, you can check that the case is fully engaged as you can see the lug that is retained by the one that comes down from the seat. Paying attention when installing will avoid the problem the guy on the forum had.
      I agree, the complete lack of instructions is bad.

      I have a v100 with those cases and they cannot come off with the pillion seat on properly. When new it will take some force to get them on and off, use a light lubricant on the attachment surfaces. After a few times you will be able to quickly get them on and off.

    No matching red cases for the "standard" (non-S) model so the look on mine isn't great. But who cares? You remove them easily for normal (local) riding with no ugly brackets left behind.
