Dom! You're a joy to watch. Brilliant idea to have the low pass come in just for the very end of that transition, it's like a 2 in 1 haha. Tracks sound great too. Thanks for sharing your experience with the plugin!
Hey Andrew- congrats on this, the plugin SLAPS- you guys have created something really special here! Thanks for the kind words- hope all is well with you since last time we spoke at a Superbooth a few years ago! :)
Andrew I'd LOVE to see this on ipad. Baby Audio have Super VHS and IHNY 2 and their free ones on ipad already so I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to get it as a auv3.
Brother, I'm not sure why you don't have over a half million subscribers, because your content is so educational and inspiring. As a software developer/composer, these types of videos really do it for me, so thank you VERY much.

It definitely needs an autogain function. Most presets are not only trash, they alter the volume so drastically and also over time in the transition that it needs a seperate volume automation. Also when i turn the transition knob back to zero there seems to be a slight time gap (in Cubase) which gives the song a feeling of a hiccup. The mixing fader doesn’t help since it introduces strange phasing issues. I couldn’t get an otherwise nice transition to be on point for a drop in a song even with all kinds of automation curves for over an hour. In that time i could have setup a whole chain of different plugins with much better control. I regret the purchase. Maybe it‘s more useable after an update (or i make something serious wrong).
Wow, I was just putting together my first track for a proper release, but I have a few transitions I don't know what to do with... This might just be the answer.
Love Baby Audio! I got their email about this earlier, and was crossing my fingers you'd demo it! Definitely will hop over to Baby Audio in a minute with your discount code to buy. Always enjoy seeing your infectious enthusiasm for products you like, which not only have so much potential, but can stir up a bit of inspiration and just be plain old fun to experiment with too. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video and share your vast knowledge with us!
That was well timed - I only got an email advertising the plugin a few hours ago! And this explains it all really well. Very clear and easy to understand, as always. Thanks Dom, all the best.
Cool feature they could add to the manual control would be a snap-back feature with a setting for either a timing or strength to determine how fast it snaps back to 0 when you let go of the left mouse button.
$50 with 10% off is a bargain really, and it has that randomize button, crazy, you can use this for a lot of things, it's a good price for all the functionality and time saving, nice one! ;D
I just watched and yes, this does suit me well. I am not a tech and get truly easily intimidated by hard to understand and heavy learning curve plug-ins. My creative flow doesn't enjoy being slowed down too much. There has to be a balance and such a plug-ins do have a place even though they may be less of, not as much, etc.. as others which are compared to this one for instance:Infiltrator. And thank you for the discount code, Dom ... I got it in Europe for 52 Eur . :)
Nice job Dom. It looks like a fun tool. Only helps that Huang is behind it. And Black Friday has it at 40% off an already decent price. This decision was too easy to make
It's pretty easy to set up an equivalent device in Bitwig. Of course, the effects might not be exactly the same, but you can also customize the end result to your needs. I expect Polarity to create a clone of this soon. Still it's nice, I agree. Thanks.
I'm downloading a demo right now, because it seems really interesting and fun. My guess is though, that for a polished track you'd likely be better off doing things manually with the plugins you like most and also, because you have just so much more control/possibilities. Having said that, doing it the final production way is sooooo much more work that this plugin could just be worth it for creating ideas alone. We'll see
Really like this. You get immediate gratification and is a broad brush stroke approach. For polished production you’ll still have to think carefully about its implementation, but that’s the same for everything.
Just finished your video, bought right away I don’t need more than your input to know it’s a good move thanks dom!!! I Hope baby audio threat you right cause I don’t think I’ll be the only one and we damn sure need your presets too 💯
I just looked up Turnado but it had the most annoying video presentation that I've ever seen for a VST (and they had comments and dislikes disabled, I wonder why lol). Based on that alone I'm going to lean in the direction of the Baby Audio plugin, but I appreciate seeing suggestions here to compare regardless.
This is awesome. As a mainly songwriter who still ends up with one billyun plugins this is somewhat of a godsend. Being able to process it in-plugin with an EQ would be great, just to put some top end shimmer to a bass without touching the lows, for instance.
Modulation FX in a convenient, understandable, easy to use plugin... As an older dude I'm thinking Roland Space Echo, ELO, JMJ and Vangelis like effects...maybe Tears for Fears flangers? Thanks for the great video ! 👍
Thanks Dom, great video! I used your promo code to purchase Transit, looking forward to using it in my tracks. I'm generally more focussed towards the ambient side of things, but I still find these tools useful (maybe not as much as EDM composers, but a good ergonomic tool will find its way into any setup).
These videos are the best. :) This is already a bad-ass plugin, but would have loved an EQ module to "clean up" when needed. Easy to add one after, but just thinking it would have made this plugin suite even better. :)
Even though one probably might not necessarily need a plugin like this, it seems to be very handy and worth buying it. Especially if presented in a sympathetic way like you did. And btw, the song you're using in this one is pretty amazing. I'll grab the MP3 on Amazon, Spotify isn't worth to be supported. ;-)
Hej Dom i have a Queation do you have a Video Make on a decision-> Mac vs PC for Cubase because i have an old PC 11 years old and a Macbook Pro M1 so i want to make a decision what should i invest pc or Mac studio
I'm kind of on the fence with these types of plugins. They sound great and for the occasional project it's OK I guess, but up and coming producers who learn on these tool will be kind of addicted to them and won't have the experience to create the sounds manually. It's maybe akin to the devastating impact autotune et al has had on modern pop music. There is a danger producers are unable to go beyond the Andrew Huang sound some day. Still it's not about Andrew whom I'm a huge fan of and his videos with Rob Scallon are total X-tra X-mas every time they're released. But these types of plugins are a little too dangerous and not that creative unless your first name is Andrew haha!!! :D
Nice video. Actually it did not make me want to buy the plugin but to copy certain effects "manually" within Cubase which is absolutely feasible. The funny thing is that I thought it would be interesting to see a video on transitions just a few days ago.
