I still don't understand the need of people to NOT be offended. Off color humor and crude innuendo is part and parcel for working class men gathering to enjoy their hobbies. No one claims poker games are supposed to have an X card or safety rules for the table talk or that a group of guys hanging out while working on their classic cars should never tell a bawdy joke or express a disappointment in the "current administration" and other forms of political discourse.
.Why does this persist in ttrpgs? Is there a session Zero for Call of Duty or other FPS digital games? No. Everyone sitting down at their console understands the game and how it's played. When a seasoned gamer shows up with a list of Do's and Don'ts for the rest of the table then they are only performative in their intentions, practicing Morality Porn for that brief sense of superiority dopamine hit.
Video Director Chris Cunningham began his career at 2000 AD and the 1995 Judge Dredd movie, and what about all the people influenced by 2000 AD? Richard Stanleys Hardware comes to mind.
9:41 This allways sticks in my craw. We have concepts between human cultures now that are nigh impossible to translate. Drow are Drow, Orc be orc. They are not humans with funny hats.
The irony is that when orcs, humans, and elves were more distinct, it would've made more sense to call them "species," not "races." Now that they're all identical except for superficial differences and culture, calling them "races" fits better.
A third point, or rather a follow-up question to my 2000AD query: I believe your final point, in which you referenced Leonardo da Vinci, was disparaging about American comics. This is a somewhat sweeping statement, particularly given that there is far more to them than the superhero genre that most people associate with them. Kindly explain yourself.
"Best Days are behind us" comes to mind. My pull list consists of Vampirella & Fem Force. Two nostalgia laded cheesecake titles. Today, I'm going to my FLCBS to pick up Oni Press' compilation of old EC titles. Come to think of it, Patton Oswalt's last series was the only other series I purchased. I own all the HC reprints I need.
American comics are really lame right now. Manga is eating their lunch.
I have two points, both doubtless aggravating:
1. Your pronunciation of Kierkegaard is incorrect, for reasons given in my comment that you read. As for Stålenhag, there may be regional variations that would render ‘Stollenhag’ acceptable, but I believe you will find ‘Stawlenhag’ is the closest approximation to how a Swede would say it. I accept that you are not a Swede, or any other member of Brassica napus Napobrassica, but contend that this is no excuse for perpetrating egregious mispronunciation (another word that you are guilty of mispronouncing, incidentally, without, furthermore, the excuse of your nationality).
2. I’m not sure whether the Mothership boxed set is generally available yet, though I received a newsletter from one retailer a few weeks ago who had acquired stock that he was selling - aggravatingly - for less than the price paid by Kickstarter backers.

Also, I bought my MS boxed set in a store & it was properly restocked. So I'm voted on totally available. Would you like to argue about the color of the sky next?
