@@nnnik3595I mean, I'm biased but rabbits are BOMB ASS PETS!!! You can litter box train them like cats, they enjoy chilling, exploring, and plenty enjoy cuddles and pets 😁. Mine all run towards me as soon as they hear my voice. I'd say they are a cross between dogs and cats personality wise! Hamsters...well they don't usually like any of that and don't live anywhere near as long

She does lick me (and fight my feet) but we can only pet them when they’re in their cage. And she stomps at the mildest annoyance. Her sister got a treat first? Stomp. Opened the door to fast? Stomp. Simply exist? Stomp. Love them but it definitely depends on temperament and personality 😅

Reminds me of a fanfiction I made. Basically we have the cleric, rogue/bard, the fighter and the mage. The mage gets separated from her team and ends up captured by this group. She is tied up and can't use any spells at the moment. She tries persuasion. It got her and her friends out os lots of jams. She asked them to please let her go so she can find her friends. She asked them to please have compassion and sympathy for her. I don't know why, but they don't listen and Kyborg draws his long bow and says, "Sorry, miss. No can do." And shoots. His arrow lands in her chest. All is silent except for her loud heartbeats. Tha-thump tha-thump tha-thump Then a loud, piercing shriek erupts from her mouth, like that of a ghosts. And her head slumped and we all know why. Don't worry too much about her. She is friendly towards her party, but she haunts the nightmares of her shooter.
This might be the most D&D thing to ever happen. I had to argue with people (non role players) who saw the D&D movie and complained that it was too comedic, telling them that its exactly how an actual game of D&D would go.
That was my favorite part about it, the whole thing *felt* like a DND campaign. It was comedic in a very DND way, and it was so much better because of it
I think it's because people would like to see a serious story set in the DnD world, not a murder hobo comedy run that every tabletop session turns into. A story like Baldur's Gate.
Glad to see other ways of showing the story! With the full length puppet show coming up this seems like a good way to still be able to post without overloading the puppet crew.

In what way was it "objectively evil", Because hamsters are cute? Would you feel the same if it was an innocent man-eating spider? Based on what's illustrated here it was perhaps unnecessary, unless the pedestal the hamster was on posed some threat, but there was nothing "objectively evil" about what he did.
@@jeremyhill9720of course it was objectively evil. An innocent vulnerable creature was murdered unnecessarily... Your counter example of a man eating spider is most likely not vulnerable nor by our usual standards "innocent" - it eats people, that's clearly not just about being cute or not.
It does come back in an event. Its' name was Sparky, but I think it died in that same episode. It was a one-off side quest event they did for a live show. Really fun.

Plot twist, The Hamster had nothing to do with the conveyor belts or axes, he was just a fun little guy for the people who manned the stations to look at while working. (Note: I have never watched/listened to this D&D podcast. I have no idea if what I said is accurate, but it's totally what I'd do if I was the DM.)

Plot twist: the DM had written three pages of notes for that hamster and planned for it to be a lovable recurring NPC.
