I found out who Hailee Steinfeld is when I watched Pitch Perfect 2 and have been a fan of hers ever since.
Wow I've never thought of it in that way, but it makes so much sense, I always thought it was because she wrote the song, so they did it to give her credit... but I like your explanation better :)

The moment the octave changed showing us generations of Bellas, was the most beautiful moment of Pitch History. They made it a point to show how many generations are truly in this acapella world and how treasured it really is. The whole thing was masterful. From beginning to end. The handclap routine, tricky but they crushed it to the moment where Becca started backed up and Emily took the reigns was pivotal for the Bellas.
Does anyone else always cry and get goosebumps when they watch this scene? Or is that just me?

I got goosebumps when the crowd starts to wave their flashlights and harmonize the song.And that is my fav part of this movie😭

I always think this story would of suited the 3rd movie better. I felt like it'd come full circle and would of been good to have this as the ending.
i have a feeling they were gonna stop after 2 movies but then made another one so this was supposed to be the end

I just love how they spot the light to emily after the performance. Because she was the next leader of the barden bella. It's like they we're giving the trone to emily.

The only way this would have been more perfect is if this had been a film franchise for years. And all the people who appeared in Flashlight were the characters we came to know and love along the way.

Body percussion isnt easy. It has to be practiced lots of times to make sure its perfect and the fact they were able to do it while they were turned to their partners then do it perfectly in a line is seriously insane.

@@madenz685 a younger class. Don’t forget, Beca was a freshman for the first movie. She graduated in this one, so Fuentes’ character is anywhere from 1-3 years younger.

I love how Beca, Emily, and Chloe take the lead in Flashlight together. They just sound beautiful together. Honestly, if it wasn't for Emily, the Bellas would've lost.

My first thought is who are her parents? She great ngl but how can she get so many movie at the same time. Some connection must be strong here.
Her family is kind of the showbiz, but shes prety tallented, acts since 10 years old, at 14 was nomineted in the academy wards, she sings, dance, compose, and act very well... I think that, of course she was helped, but carrer comes mostly by talent (sorry for any bad grammar)
3:55 STILL brings me goosebumps since the very first time i watched the movie.
This was such a beautiful moment. I'm a sucker for honoring what came before and passing the torch stories, themes, songs and sentiments. This spoke on all those levels. When Hailee Steinfeld have that look to Katey segal playing the character's mom....tears!! You just knew she was so proud. And seeing the three leader from pitch perfect on the stage too with everyone else standing in the middle with the person who she passed the Bellas onto and their mutual best friend. So good!!! Tears Everytime. Legacy!!! The past always matters and never will be forgotten.

I like how when they started Flashlight, they were using the moves of Bellas past that Aubrey and Chloe tried to teach the new Bellas in the first movie. To me, that was the first sign they would be joined by Bellas past.
I used to wait for the sequel of pitch perfect, it’s sad to know they don’t do it anymore.. it’s 2022 now, pls make similar movies as this with few same cast aswell.. they’re so good 🥰❤️

heres yet another great element of this scene, when Emily points to her mother, while she shares the stage with her daughter, singing her daughters song with all the Bellas old, new and current. The acting is so on point, you can see the overwhelming joy they share. Its Mother and daughter, and sisters all at once.
This never gets old.. couldn’t stop smiling throughout the song 😍😍😇
The whole clapping part is soooo cool
Movies like this usually don't make me cry, but I think a combo of this song mixed with how much I love Hailee made me start bawling out of nowhere at the end!!

The second I saw Emily's mom as one of the legacies that came when I watched the movie originally I started to cry it meant the world to me I have always watched them with my mom. My mom doesn't sing but the thought of her being on stage with me as the focus makes me so happy
Loved it! Reminds me of the earlier movies like Sister Act. Being 61 and seeing these type of movies all along the way, I love them all, still! Big music lover that I am. I have 2 of the Perfect Pitch movies, will get the 3rd of course and love watching them over and over. Reminds me also of going to college and majoring in music, sooo trying to get the guts up to try out for a capella. 😎
I'm 30 and i used to watch Sister Act with my mom whenever they showed it on TV. It still is one of her favourite movies. I cherish my younger days a lot.

I remember when I was in elementary school, we had a talent show. This girl came onto the stage and said how she was there today to sing for her mother who had been hospitalized for 5 months. She sang this song, and when she was halfway through, she broke down and started crying, there in front of the whole school (hundreds of people). Everyone got out their phones and turned on their flashes and waved them for her and encouraged her to continue, just like in the video.

i remember back in 2022 I moved away from my home country, on the last school singing competition i signed up and sang flashlight, i remember signing up every year for the singing competition but i never sang a song for a reason, it was just because i liked the song, but that year i chose flashlight because to me this song is a song about friendship, and my friends were all flashlights to me, they all guided me out if i faced a challenge, just like a flashlight. Covid was still big in my home country so we had to air it on our schools website, i remember singing it just after assembly, i meant every word and told the school why i chose this song, when i went to the class everyone was looking at me. About three to four weeks later i left my home country i knew for 17 years, I was very sad. One day, just after i moved, i realised i got the first prize for the singing competition and another prize, i got invited to the gifting ceremony because although i couldn't physically be there my name was still mentioned, i woke up very early and even the sun hadn't rosen yet, i joined in the zoom meetng and was overjoyed to see everyone in my class.
This video bring back my mind emotions I felt during the EUROVISION Song Contest final.... it is wonderful to see waving flags of different Countries of the world together, against any discrimination. wow!
So many years and this still gives me goosebumps every time
